ADDY SIMON 10
Addison
My whole body was buzzing and my heart was racing a million miles per
hour as I roamed the halls of the hospital in a luminous trance. I
didn't care how insane it was since I knew exactly how I felt and
couldn't deny it.
Love.
Simon had appeared out of nowhere, and I had bolted because I was
terrified of what I was experiencing. Then he showed me sensations I'd
never had before. He'd repaired me, not only in terms of my inability to
orgasm, but also in terms of my capacity to feel the way I did for him.
I'd never felt anything like it before, and I'd never felt anything
close to it so quickly.
But, as I previously stated, when you know, you know, and boy, did I
know when it came to him. I knew how he made me feel complete, how he
felt like the missing piece I'd been searching for my entire life.
As I approached the elevators that would take me down to the foyer, I
smiled. Simon had a few things to wrap up here at the hospital, but I
had the key to his apartment in my pocket, and the promise of all the
things he'd do to me when he joined me was still circulating in my mind.
"Ms. Cortez? "
I came to a halt, turning quickly to see a serious-looking woman in a
trousers suit standing in the doorway of an office, staring me down.
"Yes?"
I couldn't shake the notion that I was in trouble since her eyes
narrowed at me as she folded her arms across her chest.
"Yes?" As her withering look lanced through me, I whispered it again, my
voice tightening.
"Ms. Cortez," she sneered. "Are you one of Dr. Perez's patients?"
When I nodded, her mouth twisted into a scornful grin.
"This afternoon you spent an inordinate amount of time with him."
As I nodded, I blushed and tried to choke it back. "He is assisting me
with-"
"Let's cut through the nonsense, shall we?"
I froze, my jaw dropping.
"Excuse me?"
The woman strode towards me, and my eyes flicked to the plaque on her
office door: "Heidi Lopez: Chief Administrator."
"Don't play stupid with me, Addison," she hissed. "I know all about
Doctor Pwensen's little love-nest he's got off his office. And I know
he's taken a little shine to you, hasn't he?"
"He's-" I stammered. "He's really helping me with some personal prob-"
"What he's doing is fucking you, right?"
My eyes went wide, and this time, the heat that crept into my face was
anger.
"Look," I spat back. "I don't care who you are, but you will not speak
to me like-"
"Like the tiny hussy who slammed her doctor's door? " she snarled. She
guffawed, a brittle guffaw. "Ms. Cortez, what he's doing is unethical,
and he'll lose his job as a result."
"He isn't-"
"Are you sure you're the first?"
I felt a chill run through my body. I wanted to tell her to fuck off, or
question who she thought she was, or just turn and run, but I was held
in place.
"Are you sure I'm not making it up?"
She laughed and shook her head. "No, Ms. Cortez," the woman said. "You
see, he won't be fired for you; he'll be fired for the girl who came
before you. You know, the one he came up with? "
Something cracked inside of me. It suddenly felt like the very floor I
was standing on had tilted, and I couldn't find my breath. My heart
ached, and I could feel that cold shiver from before spreading through
my whole body.
"Oh, did you not know?" Heidi made a tsking sound. "Poor little thing.
Well, at least you know now. And who knows, maybe this will help you
make better choices with your next doctor, hmm?"
She started to laugh, but I could barely hear her as I turned and ran,
trying to stop the tears from falling, and trying to stop my heart from
breaking.
I was helpless to stop either one.
