CHAPTER 56
I shuddered while still staring at him. It's true that I don't want to let him go again. I will never run away from him again and let him fall apart just because of a misunderstanding. The amount of time I endured myself. Every day I feel like I still won’t change how I feel about him and I put up with that myself. When I was away, I always prayed that I would still be there. I still am and now I still know, I will fight for that whatever it takes.
"I have no regrets about meeting you and letting you know me," I declared to him and let him hug me.
The next day was so hard to analyze because I felt like I was still drunk. Asteria asked to be with her Grandma and Grandpa with her cousins who I let go as well. I can see how she enjoys being here and I can't resist that. This is the first time she has seen many people and even played with her.
''Will you come with us?" Levi even asked me as I prepared myself in front of the mirror.
I saw him sitting on the bed and looking at me intently. He’s now wearing his semi-formal attire because he's going to work and I’m going to be with him. Now, it’s their trip to Tierra Fima and I’m still thinking if I’ll go with them.
"I’m not sure, Lev. Ria is here and...”
“She’s safe here, Rae. Her family is here if that’s what you’re worried about,” he told me seriously.
There is a point but...
I turned to myself in front of the mirror. I adjusted the blouse and skirt inside that coat of mine. I ran my hand through my hair to fix the fall and face him. Luckily I brought stuff last night.
He quickly glared at my whole being and motioned for me to come closer. I was hesitant to do that but I did it later. He slid his palm around my waist and pulled me closer to him.
“You still have time to think. Everyone's flight is still tonight. We can still date,” he said meaningfully to me so I slapped his arm.
I was about to utter a word to him when someone knocked on the door so we both looked there. It was Levi who stood up to open it so I followed him.
“What’s taking you so long? Let’s go,” Mari greeted him so my forehead furrowed.
I even saw her approach her body Levi so I quickly passed between the two of them.
“Excuse me. I'll just go downstairs,” I told her as I passed by in front of them.
Levi laughed. I can see Marichu’s mad expression so I quickly left them there. I went straight to the living room of the mansion and I found Ria there, hugged by Tita Criselda. They were watching something on the iPad while Acel’s son was on the floor, reading.
“You’re going? Where’s Levi?” His mom greeted me so I smiled
Ria came down to hug her grandmother and ran toward me.
“I hope you don't take Asteria home first, hija. You can stay here both, you know that,” Levi’s mom uttered as she approaches me.
“You can move here, Astraea. This house is big and I want my granddaughter to live here if that’s okay with you.” I heard Levi's dad say that.
I saw him just come in and take my daughter from me. He even kissed her on the head and turned to me. I suddenly remembered what I heard last night so I looked away from him. It looks good, but the aura is really scary because it is a retired army and until now it has a big body.
I was embarrassed to smile at them.
"You want to stay here?" I asked Ria who remained to stare at us.
She immediately nodded. “Yes, mom. Eizickiel wants me to play with him and grandma,” she replied which made me smile.
"She's staying here, mom, dad. Astraea will join me at Tierra Fima for the taping of the movie adaptation. You take care of her first,” Levi suddenly appeared next to me and wrapped his arm around my waist so I frowned.
This guy can be clingy anytime he wants.
After saying goodbye, we set sail for their company. We didn’t go through the Royale anymore because it said everyone was already there in the theater area. When we arrived, I noticed that all the employees were staring at me and whispering something.
I suddenly felt Levi’s hand around my waist while Mari is simply staring beside us and still tormenting me.
"It's like you're newlyweds," Yerim greeted us and looked at Mari for a moment.
“Bridesmaid? Kidding!” She joked that I could almost burst out laughing.
“Stop playing around, Miss Kim. Let’s start this workshop,” Mari said seriously to her and left.
I just shrugged and turned to Yerim. "Where's Rafa?"
“On her way. There is an emergency. Are you coming?” she asked me and pulled me away from Levi. "I'll borrow her for a minute."
Levi just laughed and looks at me. "Follow me to my office later," he told me softly so I just nodded.
When Levi left for his office, I turned to Yerim whose expression suddenly became serious
“Jaxon asked me to talk to you. He really wants to talk to you, Rae. Can you just...” she uttered.
I kept my eyes on the artists who were already starting the workshop. I even saw Miss Rochelle waving at me so I just nodded.
“Did you know that Levi even came back to talk to him? They almost got into a fight again. They have been angry for a long time because of Hoseah and now because of you,” Yerim continued so my forehead furrowed
“What has Hoseah got to do with it? That doesn’t exist here in the Philippines does it?” I asked her.
"Kat, Levi's new secretary, just told me. Jaxon’s ex-girlfriend is Hoseah. Levi just snatched her from him so now he is retaliating and you are the one being used. I’m still not sure about it that’s why I’m asking you to talk to him. He will also tell you something about your father, Tito Apollo,” she added.
I suddenly felt nervous because of what I heard. I remember what I heard that night from Levi’s dad about my dad. I don’t like what I’m thinking but I can’t help to think that maybe... Jaxon will tell me something important about it but I’m scared. I can't when I find out the truth.
