CHAPTER 70
“It is called Postoperative delirium. This is a temporary condition that causes the patient to be confused, disoriented, unaware of their surroundings, and have problems with memory and paying attention after surgery. This condition is common so you don’t have to worry about. It usually disappears after about a week,” the doctor explained to them clearly.
I was just standing on the side of the room while listening to the doctor’s explanation about what was happening to Uncle Saldy right now. I was more focus on him because he has been staring at me before. He doesn't seem to blink at all. When I moved, its gaze followed me again so I was surprised. Why is he following me with his gaze?
“Thank you, Dr. Perez. You’re a great help to us,” Levi spoke which made me look at him.
I saw his nod to the doctor as he held his mommy by the shoulder. My eyebrows went up when I saw him holding Mari's waist that was on his side. As soon as he turned to his dad, I deliberately caught his eyes so he would know I saw what he did. He was caught off guard by my stare and immediately walked away from that Mari.
"Dad, how are you feeling?" I heard Auntie Criselda asked her husband.
My lip lifted because of that. The way she calls her husband is making me think that they have a healthy relationship and happy marriage. Auntie Criselda has such a big heart. I kept my eyes on them as I could see out of the corner of my eye Levi’s stare at me.
“Why am I here? Where’s my wife? I need to see my wife, where is she?” Uncle Saldy asked series of questions even though his wife was already in front of him.
I could feel the pain in my chest when I saw her tears streaming down her cheeks.
“W-who’s your wife?” Trembling, she asked her husband.
We were all quiet. Only the sound of the machine that was there could be heard throughout the room, but what in my case was even the beating of my heart I could already hear.
Uncle Saldy's eyes rolled as if looking for someone. When he looked at me, his smile suddenly brightened.
“Where’s your mom? Isn't she there yet? What time is she coming, darling?” He asked me.
Everyone was so dumbfounded by what he said. Even I couldn't move immediately because of that. I didn’t even know what to answer to his questions so my eyes searched for Levi. When I saw him, he approached me and immediately grabbed my hand tightly.
“I... I don’t know what to say. Should I tell him?” I whispered to him. “I’m so sorry...” I also added.
I felt him gently squeeze my hand so I looked up at him. He looked at me and smiled sadly.
“I’m here. I’m sorry. You’re trembling, Lumiere,” he gently uttered to me.
I sighed because of what he said and felt myself and he was right, I was trembling with extreme nervousness and embarrassment. I don't know what I look like now especially when he calls me his daughter again.
“Where’s your mom Amalia, Rae? Why isn't she here yet?” He asked again in his baritone voice.
I bit my lower lip as I sorted in my mind the correct answer to his question. Why does he call me his daughter? Does he think I am his child and mama is his wife now?
"S-she's coming... dad," I almost whispered to myself trying to maintain my whole voice.
I saw Auntie Criselda staring at her husband as he smiled broadly and nodded.
“Okay, good. Please, tell her I miss her already when she got here in case I fell asleep,” he said happily so I was completely weak.
I heard their violent sighs especially Levi who was tightening his grip on me. When I felt that it was really tight I grabbed his arm. I felt for a moment that it was stunned.
“L-let’s just go outside,” I told him and went on my way. I left him there because I really couldn't handle the situation and the events the past few days.
I don't know if I can handle it anymore.
When I got out of Uncle Saldy’s room, I was constantly walking towards nowhere. Before I reach to the elevator, someone grab me from my waist and gently turned me around to face him.
"Where are you going?" He asked me softly.
He looked down at my lips and back into my eyes. I saw his moist eyes so I felt even more guilty.
“I can't, Levi. I'm so ashamed of your mommy. I know how she hated me and here I am now, she is getting more and more mad at me,” I told him angrily as I tried to remove his hold on me.
His forehead furrowed and his grip dropped to my hand. He suddenly pressed the button of the lift and looked at me.
“She’s not mad at you. She’s mad at herself and the situation. Don’t blame yourself, please.” His voice was still low as if comforting me.
When the elevator opened, the two of us immediately went in there but before it closed, I immediately saw Mari enter quickly. I just followed her gaze as she positioned herself on the other side of Levi.
“Can I come along? I just need to run some errands and I don’t have my car with me,” I heard she asked to my fiancee.
I just kept my ears open to listen to what Levi had to say. I simply looked at it and saw there her teasing look so I just turned around.
"Why didn't you bring your car?" Levi asked her.
Marichu laughed and artistically tapped him on the arm.
“We went here together, right? You told me not to take it because you would take me, didn’t you?” I heard her answer.
My eyebrows raised at nowhere. I can feel the sudden irritation on my nerves just because of what I hear. I feel like I can hurt them all at once now.
I crossed my arms then look at Levi when he tilted his head to looked at me. I stared at him and leaned against the wall there.
“Just take a taxi, Mari. We are going home now,” Levi replied to her.
“What? Why? Where are you going? Your mom still needs you here and I don't know how to co— ”
“We’re going home to see our daughter, Marichu. I can book a grab for you so stop being so annoying,” I said to her, cutting her off.
Before she could answer again, the elevator opened so I went straight out of there. Not minding Levi with Mari who was walking behind me. I walk straight to the parking lot. When we got there, my forehead furrowed when I noticed that Mari was still following. I leaned against the hood of Levi's car and looked at them intently. Levi avoids my gaze so I stare at him more.
“I'll just go with you together. Just take me to the condo,” Marichu insisted. I could already feel the growing irritation in my head as I looked at her.
“I can’t. The road to your condo is different. We’re going home to Casa,” Levi answered her and immediately looked at me.
He slammed his car and approached me. Even before he opened the passenger seat, he kissed me on the forehead for a moment.
"Let's go home, my love," he whispered to me and guided me into the car but Mari snapped.
“Can't you take me first? You know the way to my condo, don't you? I really can't commute now because I'm so tired and—”
“I don’t care, Marichu. Just find a way on your own. We have to go!” Levi told her emphatically before she could continue what she was going to say.
I could still see the shock in her eyes but I ignored that. I finally entered as Levi's gaze followed her around to the driver's seat. He immediately started the engine and went on our way.
I didn't say a word until we got to Casa, and so did Levi because he was probably too tired. When we arrived, Ria, who was still running, greeted us immediately and immediately loaded her daddy.
“We missed you, baby girl. How are you?” Levi said to his daughter and smothered her with a kiss.
“I’m fine, daddy. I miss you, when will Grandpa come home?” She asked again before finally turning to me.
I took her from her daddy and kissed her head even on her cheek. I felt the tightness of her hug on me so I reciprocated.
“How’s my baby? Did you sleep well? Mommy will sleep next to you tonight, okay?” I told her as I felt Levi’s hand on my waist so I turned my attention to him.
“You looked stunning on that red dress. Can we talk?” It softened me and simply kissed me on the neck.
I bit my lower lip so hard and quickly tapped him. I immediately turned to my daughter.
“Tell me bed time stories, mommy. I miss that,” she innocently asked me.
I just simply nodded at her and soon after, Celine came and greeted me with a hug.
“I’m glad you’re finally here. You can rest for a bit, I’ll check on Ria here,” she suggested while I could still feel Levi’s soft but strong caress on my waist.
I bit my lower lip and just smiled at her.
“Thank you, Celine. I’ll take it back from you,” I told her.
"We're just going up," Levi told her. I noticed Celine's grin so I stared at it.
When we said goodbye to her, the two of us went upstairs to our room. Even before we could enter the room, I heard Ria running towards us. Celine is still chasing her.
“Asteria! Come here, baby,” Celine called her but my daughter just ignored her.
“Be quick, mom, dad. I’ll wait for you here,” she said enthusiastically.
“Alright, baby. You can go to Auntie Celine first while waiting for us, okay? Go,” Levi commanded her.
She just smiled. When she came back to Celine, she quickly pulled me inside. He locked the door and the next thing I knew, he’s now kissing me torridly and hungrily.
"Hmm... Levi, I thought we were just going to talk..." I said while trying to lower my voice.
He chuckled. I felt his kiss in my ear and the descent then towards my neck.
“We can talk while doing it, Lumiere. I just cant resist your alluring beauty. Why do you need to wear this kind of... damn it,” he whispered and even moaned the last thing he said.
He continued kissing me down to my chest so I was completely exhausted. He leaned me against the door while continuing to kiss the top of my chest. The hot sensation I feel is the reason why I can no longer speak. All I could feel the heat and our bodies seemed to be on fire.
"Talk, Lumiere... I'm listening," he even added again so I was completely stunned.
Before I could speak, he suddenly turned his back on me. I could feel him touching the end of my dress and applying his warm palms to my thigh. It's getting higher and higher so I'm almost crazy about the tickle I feel.
“L-Levi... what... how can I fucking talk — wait! What are you doing?” I asked him in shock when I felt that he had lifted my dress.
“Bend over, Lumier ...” he whispered to me and I even felt his hands on my hips.
I was stunned by what he did. I no longer refused and did what he said. After a while, I could feel him slowly lowering my underwear until it finally fell to the floor.
I bit my lower lip that the fire of lust burned even more in my body when I felt him caress me there.
“Ohh — Levi...” I moaned.
I tightened my grip on the doorknob as I growled loudly when I felt him enter me. That was so slow. Slow but emphatic. Slow but deep.
"Are you jealous with Mari?" He suddenly asked while entering me slowly but surely. I felt him caress my back and kiss me there.
“I... I’m — stop making me jealous. I can’t — oh, fuck it!” I almost screamed when I felt him entered me so deep.
I almost went crazy because of what he did. I finally let go of what I was holding and quickly searched for his hands. He hugged me from behind and continue entering my world. The pleasant feeling I am experiencing right now is beyond my expectations. I don't know why he's so mad at me now.
“Stop overthinking things. You’re now engaged to me and I’ll do it only to you. I fucking missed you...” he whispered as his breathe is fanning to my face and for the second time, he deepened it inside of me again.
I almost screamed because of what he did but thankfully he quickly covered my mouth with his hand. I could already taste the blood on my lower lip because I kept biting there.
Some time later, while we were at the peak of worldliness, the door slammed shut and I was caught there. Levi didn't even break away and continued what he was doing.
“Mommy? Daddy?” Ria shouted from outside.
I was stunned when I heard that. Levi chuckled and kissed my earlobe.
"I'm sorry, my love, but we have to be fast," he whispered to me and continued what he was doing even though the door was still slamming.
It wasn’t the conversation I expected but I admit, it was one of the things I wanted to do with him.
After we both reached our climax, he helped me fix myself as I felt the trembling of my knee which he immediately noticed.
“Now, you’re not jealous anymore. I love you, Astraea Lumiere... don’t ever forget that,” he playfully said to me.
Oh... how I love to talk to him. Even every day is fine.
