CHAPTER 80
"What do you want from life?" She asked me as I sat down beside her.
I saw its gaze following me so I laughed.
“You fool, Yerim. Why are you staring at me all the time?” I asked her and she pushed a little more.
She arranged her seat and then sipped the wine in her glass. “Just answer my question, Rae. Your life seems so perfect ever since you and Levi—”
“My life is not perfect, Ye. Whatever is on your mind, just stop,” I interrupted her because I knew where this conversation was headed.
She had just arrived from Seoul with the sad news. Lucas broke up with her and it’s not her fault. He had been fooling her for a long time and only now admitted because his woman was pregnant there. Fortunately, this woman is not a martyr because if she did, she would have broken up with Rafa.
“I just want to know. If we hadn't left you at Tierra Fima before, you and Levi would have known each other better?” She asked so my forehead furrowed even more.
I hovered over it with a look. She’s now wasted. She also drank a lot of it and it seems that she has no intention of stopping.
I heave a sigh and just shrugged my shoulder.
"Where can I find my own billionaire?" She also added so I laughed. "Don't just answer my question," none of its own added.
I looked at my glass that was still full of wine. What do I want from life? Well, it’s simple. I just want to live a life of beauty; I want to travel with my daughter and Levi, notice sunsets, eat food that I love, take care of my body especially them. I want to spend the rest of my life with them without worrying about anything.
“You should sober up now, Ye. You've been drinking a lot,” I told her right after I drank the entire whiskey so that she has nothing to drink.
It looked at me sharply and shook violently.
“I’m fine, Rae. You know me, my alcohol tolerance is high. Let's have a drink, please,” she insisted, so I was stunned.
I was about to speak again when I stopped when I heard her sobs. I'm bent over so I can't see what she looks like. All I can see now is her shoulder. It goes up and down.
I bit my lower lip so hard and gently patted her shoulder. It didn't move so I hugged her completely. Soon, her sobs grew louder. She cries like everything in her is in pain. It was like this was the first time she had been hurt and she felt like she couldn't do it. The more I listened to her growl, the more I felt the pain there. Full of anger and pain.
I tapped and gently caressed her back. I have so much thing to say to her but I can't because I know this is all she needs now. Also, I'm not very good at speaking.
After Yerim cried, she invited me to go home. I took her to her condo first before finally sailing to my condo.
I found Levi dead in his sleep with a book on his chest. Next to him was my daughter sound asleep as well. I watched them both. Levi’s features is really not a joke. I feel like it’s about to be perfect. Fortunately, Asteria got everything from him to inherit here. If not, I just don't know.
“Hey,” he called me. I almost fell from my seat in shock.
When I looked at him, he was already sitting and slightly narrowed his eyes. After that, he looked at me and reached for my hand.
“When did you come home? Did you eat already?" He asked me one question after another.
I shook my head and came closer to him to hug him.
“I’m home,” I whispered as I hugged him tightly.
I felt him caress me gently on my back so I smiled.
"We'll visit our new house tomorrow and after that, we can fly to Tierra Fima," he said when we parted.
I raised an eyebrow because of what he said.
"What are we going to do in Tierra Fima?" I asked him in surprise.
He laughed. It grabbed my hand and the one he used to fix my hair. I could even see how it examined its entirety because I could clearly see how his eyes were moving.
“I thought you want me to change your memories there with a new one?” He asked me a meaningful question.
I could feel the rapid heating of my cheek so I immediately beat him. I withdrew my hand from him and turned to my sleeping daughter.
“You’re kidding me, Levi. I wasn’t serious when I said those things. Especially about your house—”
“I sold that house yesterday that’s why I bought a new one. Don't you like it?"
Can't believe I looked at it. He frowned as he looked at me. He seems so serious. Why is this person like this?
"Are you serious?" I asked him directly.
He just laughed and looked at his daughter as well.
“I’m always serious when it comes to you, Lumiere. You’re the only one who always makes fun of me,” he said to me with a sullen temper before bending down to kiss Ria on the head.
I was shaken.
“Why did you sell right away? It’s still possible. What you said was that your mom gave it to you,” I said to him in trouble.
I made my daughter lie down and kissed her on the head. I looked back at Levi who just kept staring at me. I raised an eyebrow at it causing him to laugh. Some time later, he suddenly stood up and approached me.
I was amazed at him when he was honest in front of me. It bent slightly and his lips reached my forehead.
“You told me you don’t want to live there so I sold it. If you don't want to, I don't want to either, I'm easy to pleased because it's you,” he shrugged his shoulders at me and walked out of the room.
I sighed first before I followed him. I found him in the kitchen, drinking water. I heave a sigh again and hug him behind his back. I feel like he’s stunned.
I leaned my head behind him as I could feel my heart pounding. Relentless and very strong.
“Don't follow everything I say, especially if you don't have to. You’re spoiling me so much,” I complain to him.
I heard his baritone laugh again which was so sweet to the ear. Eventually, it came to face me so much that I looked up at him.
He cupped my whole face and kissed my lips. It was only a moment but deep and passionate.
“I will always obey you no matter what. Whatever it is, I will do it. You’re mine, Lumiere. I want to know everything you want so I can understand you better and we can get along. I don’t care what else that is,” he said softly to me.
I bit my lower lip as I looked into his eyes. His eyes that will always be the definition of sincerity. Scornful and talkative. I can't refuse.
We debated a few more times about that matter before I finally released it. The next day, we set sail for an exclusive village that they also owned. I was shaken whenever I learned something new about him and his family, especially when it came to how rich they were.I feel like it's really illegal to love him because of my life's state.
“Anne, this is my fiancé Astraea,” Levi introduced me to the architect of our house.
My eyebrows rose as I saw its artistic stare at nothingness before she laid her hand in front of me.
“Nice to meet you, Astraea. I’m Anne, Levi’s classmate and of course the architect of your dream house," its introduction and sparingly smiled at me.
I watched it from head to toe. It looks professional but I don't know why I feel differently about this woman.
"Nice to meet you, Anne," I greeted her sparingly and held Levi's arm. I saw her lower her gaze to my hand on the latter's arm.
“Shall we start discussing things you both like?” This is a serious question for us.
I just followed it with my gaze until she entered the building where she was working. We followed her inside.
There is something going on here. I can feel it. Really.
