CHAPTER 82
When we arrived at Tierra Fima, we went straight to Levi's town house where he first took me. It is far from their farm. I think it's in the other village and it's the only big house in that part of the island.
It is a pure-white house with two floors. All the colors on the outside of it are white, there is a small fence and on the side of the house there is a make-shift hammock attached. Small stones lay on the ground of the house garden.
“Mommy, when will I be able to see Uncle Jaxon?”
I lost my attention as I looked around the house because of my daughter's question. I looked at it now sitting in the hammock I had just seen.
"Huh?"
“I miss Uncle Jaxon a lot. I hope to see him again,” she said lazily so I just stared at her.
It's been a long time since Jaxon and I last met. We couldn't even communicate properly because of what had happened. I can't even remember when he last met Ria. All I know is that’s not pretty.
Why did she suddenly mention it?
"You will see him soon, baby," I said and guided her to enter the house.
My eyes searched for Levi and we found him inside talking on the phone. I quietly sat Ria in the living room while simply listening to what they were talking about, whoever he was talking to.
“Really? We just arrived here at the town house. Where are you?" Levi asked.
My forehead furrowed when I saw its wide smile. Who is he talking to? Why is he smiling like that?
“Alright, let’s just meet later. I’m with my wife and my daughter,” he said.
The annoyance I was feeling immediately subsided. I smiled and even stared at him. Later, that call ended and he turned to me.
I just stared at him until he could get close to my daughter and me.
“Are you okay? Let’s have breakfast at the restaurant here,” he casually told me.
I just picked it up and stood up. I supported my daughter and we passed her there. I heard him sneeze.
“Hey,” he called.
I didn’t stop. Instead I just felt him pulling my hand so I looked at him. Ria kept coming out.
"What?" I asked him, I kept my voice calm.
“It’s Anne. She just told me that we will continue at home when we return to Manila,” he explained even though I did not tell him to explain.
I laughed.
"I'm not asking," I replied with a laugh.
Even in my mind is why is he smiling so much while talking about it? And here she is? Why? Is she following us?
Levi crouched to kiss my lips. It was just fast so I almost chased his lip again. It's always like that.
“I know what's on your mind. She also said that she is here because of the renovation of the other resort, that of Hoseah,” he continued.
I couldn't help but notice what he said when I heard that and his other woman. Even though Hoseah and I are fine, I still can't help but think of what happened then. It's not Levi's fault because he always makes sure I'm safe with him and nothing to worry about anymore.
I’m just not sure of this Anne.
“Okay, all right. Come on, let's eat,” I nursed him and just ignored what was on my mind.
I was about to turn my back on him but he kept holding my hand so I couldn't move. Hesitantly, I looked at him.
“Let’s go, Levi,” I told him as I was trying to get my hand.
“Don’t be mad, please. Let’s enjoy this vacation. Stop overthinking things,” he told me softly and took my hand again.
He tightened his grip on it as he waited for my answer. I sighed violently and just nodded.
“I’m sorry. Let’s go? ” I calmly spoke to him and hugged his arm. “I'm just not really comfortable right now. I do not know why. Maybe it's just hunger,” I added.
I felt him kiss my head and then we went out.
"That's why we can eat when you don't become rude there," he teased me so I pinched his arm.
We found Ria outside sitting on the hammock again. When she saw us, she immediately asked to be lifted by her daddy so I just smiled.
When we got to the restaurant, it was almost empty because it was too early. But since this place is a private resort and island even earlier, a lot of food has already been served.
"What do you want to eat?" Levi asked me while looking at the menu.
I just said what I wanted to eat before letting him know I was just going to the bathroom. When I finished, I was about to return to our table when I suddenly bumped into a man.
When I looked at it his face, he seemed familiar to me so I stared at him for a while but I can’t really remember where I saw him.
“I’m sorry, miss. Are you alright?" he asked me.
I just nodded sparingly and shrugged. I was about to walk away from him when he suddenly grabbed me by my wrist so I quickly turned to look at him.
"What?" I asked him and quickly withdrew my hand from him.
It suddenly smiled broadly. He even touched it to his lips.
“That’s why you’re so familiar to me. You’re Levi’s fiancee!” He hissed to me.
My forehead furrowed even more. Who is this? I don't even remember Levi introducing me to such a handsome creature. Besides him, does he have another handsome acquaintance?
“Uhm, do I know you? How did you know that?" I asked him referring to what he said was what I was Levi.
It's crackling. It made me look from head to toe so I raised my eyebrow.
“We met at your engagement party, of course. I’m Levi’s friend by the way. I’m Noah,” he introduced and he stretched forth his hand before me.
I could only follow the gaze of his hand. I don't know if I will accept that or just leave him there.
But in the end, I took his hand and shook his hand because I am not a rude person.
“I’m Astraea. I’m sorry, I don’t really know you very well. I am with Levi—”
"Lumiere?" I heard Levi called before I could even continue what I was about to say.
We turned to him at once. I was even more surprised when I saw the strange anger in his eyes before turning to the man in front of me.
"We meet again, asshole," Noah uttered and smirked at him.
Okay? What’s going on?
