A Couple in the Mirror
Minerva Miriam Miller swirled for the last time as she beheld her beautiful reflection.
Her irritation wasn’t really washed away by the sparkling water due to Jocelyn’s sudden visit to Darwin’s penthouse yesterday. Minerva’s irritated face was masked by a layer of make-up, and that made her much more beautiful and gorgeous despite her delicate condition.

“I thought you’d never like it,” she said in a cute, high-pitched voice.
“Would I?” He giggled. “Besides, Chateau Bellerose is only for the beautiful and handsome. And you are the epitome of beauty."
She felt like she’s in heaven now, being praised by an ultimate number one fan.
“You’re only saying that because you don’t want to embarrass me,” Minerva countered.
“Yes, I am saying that because I don’t want to embarrass you—being kissed by a less gorgeous creature like me.”
A smile is on her face again, and it looks like it’s gonna stay there until the end of the day, until her jaws hurt.
“Let’s go now,” she stated, carefully holding her urge to say hi to his groin. “Jocelyn would be mumbling if we’d be late.”
Darwin smiled, playfully. His eyes sparkled. “We are already late.”
She raised her brows upon hearing that.
“So let’s just savor that, can’t we?” he added, biting his lips.
And just like that, his lips crushed into hers; kissing her as if it’s part of his habit, his everyday ritual. He met her taste and it was scorching hot; the union of their lips sent him to the sea of lunacy he had been longing to drown. Darwin’s hands explored her curves and skin, and every inch of her body that he didn't care if he’d already visited.
They do that for the rest of the five minutes of this day, like it had been their schedule to make out before they go to Chateau Bellerose, as well as arriving there, and even in post-party—making out all the way indeed.
“You’re beautiful,” he finally breathed in front of her dashing face—the face he’d been looking forward to show in front of many people that this is his soon-to-be wife.

“And you are handsome.” Just as Minerva was about to taste his lips again, Darwin’s phone rings, making her step back and him answering the caller.
“Jocelyn?”
“Darwin, dear…” She could clearly hear that stepmother of his is again using that endearment. “Your father’s already looking for you, it’s only ten minutes before the party—my birthday party. Where are you now?”
He cleared his throat first, eyes on Minerva’s lips. “We’re driving there already. Traffic seems to be a great hindrance to our prompt arrival in your celebration.”
She moaned in dismay, but Minerva smirked. She brought Darwin’s finger into her mouth and did it like it was the one between his legs.
Darwin ended the call but his finger was still on Minerva’s mouth.

The crisp air is the only witness to their dance inside the car.
