Cyrene’s POV
I got to start booktubing now.
My fellow bookworms are waiting for me to talk live about the book I recently read, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo.
I fixed my camera and the light, as well as other things I need to set up as I am new to this bookworm world.
I only used to stand naked and have sex on camera back to the days when giving and providing pleasure is the reason why I manage to prepare a food on my table every meal and every day.
I am glad I was able to escape from that living prison and I am now finally doing what I love and what seems ‘acceptable’ to the society.
I clicked live and started filming. I greeted my audience first and stated my objectives for this live video as what I’ve read on a blog article. I may look like an idiotic whore who is forcing myself to be a booktuber but I am doing everything I could. I am exerting efforts that I cannot even imagine to give. I am willing to learn everything because, after all, everything can be learned as long as you have the passion and desire and willingness to do it.
But as soon as I commenced, someone grabbed me by the hair, unaware that I apparently left the door open.

Jocelyn’s POV
“What kind of love potion did you manage to choke on Damon’s throat that he chose to divorce me then marry you?”
I came inside Darwin’s country house to which this bitch is serving as the housekeeper. But upon entering, she looks more of an owner than a mere employee of the Gray. Standing there in front of a camera with that ridiculous black outfit of hers.
I surveyed her from head to toe and it looks like she’s definitely making a fool of herself. “If you are going to film while doing yourself in broad daylight, you better not do it in front of the door. You are such a disgrace!”
“What?” she asked. I spit on her feet, never mind that it’s a thousand dollars’ worth of carpet beneath us.
“I don’t even know what you are talking about Jocelyn?” She stood, towering me. Well, she can’t be an adult actress in the first place if her height is like that of a dwarf.
“Damon didn’t tell me anything about marr—”
“Enough of your nonsense lies and cut-off this acting!” She took a step backward. “I don’t know why or how a poor, destitute, pig-looking person like you could grab the father and son’s attention!!”
“Jocelyn, please cal—”
“Don’t you calm down me!” My voice is now as loud as ever. I don’t care about my almost breaking voice. The important thing is I will end this Cyrene’s career, this moment and this instant.
“Listen, you whore of a bitch…” I pointed my swiss knife without so much hesitation. She took a few steps backward again, unbeknownst that I also brought a gun with me.
“You took everything from me. You and that Minerva woman!” I can no longer hold my tears. It tastes sweet, not salty because my fucking anger has now overpowered my entirety.
My blood is boiling, my bones are in the midst of breaking, my heart is racing, and my soul seems to come out of my body just to choke this woman in front of me until she remains breathless. I cannot fathom everything in me…I am anxious at the same time desperate. And willing to divulge any secrets that are left locked in my heart.
“I am left with nothing now, with no one to lean on.” I don’t know why I am acting like a damsel in distress in front of her where in fact I am more of a whore in extreme worries.
“I missed him, I can’t deny it.” Cyrene yielded a pair of pitiful eyes. “He’s the only man I have ever loved and yet…he chose that Minerva.”
Cyrene was shocked as I had expected. “How long have you been in love with Darwin?”
I hoisted up to her. I threw her a glare but it ended up into a sob. “Oh, Cyrene. How naïve you are! I am not in love with Darwin. I am in love with Derrick…”
“Derrick?” she asked with a shaking voice. “Minerva’s former—“
“Yes!” I hated that bitch’s name, even a syllable of her name would send me in a rampage. “I loved Derrick Giordano, Darwin’s half-brother, the moment I laid my eyes on him.”
“I met him in a casino one night. And though I didn’t win anything that night, at least I have met him. In my heart, I already won in that way…” After all these years, I came to realize that it is just in this moment that no truth has been left unspoken, no lies that aren’t unravelled, no tears haven’t left my eyes.
I don’t care if this will be my end. At least, I have poured all my emotions today, this minute—at this very second.
Sitting on the floor, I continue to vent out. “I was the one who planned Derrick’s accident. I thought Minerva was with her. I only meant to eliminate that witch!”
Cyrene gasped. Hoisting my face at her, I smiled—grinned, maliciously.
“He had broken up with me because he decided to quit gambling. I’ve realized that, since he had quit, I am no longer useful to him. You see, I was the one who was financing him with his gambling lifestyle because he claimed that his debt with Darwin is not enough. He even approached loan sharks and I ended up paying his debt to them as well.”
“Gosh, I didn’t know you were so crazy for him, Jocelyn,” she muttered.
“Crazy?” I cackled. “I’m obsessed with him. I will kill just to have him and I will not hesitate to kill again.”
Cyrene blinked and I stood. Holding my Swiss knife, I pointed at Darwin and Minerva’s huge picture by the living room. I threw my knife and it landed right on her face.
Filled with fury and envy, I went for the door not before saying my last goodbye to my husband’s soon-to-be wife. “I have failed once, and will only fail once.” I reiterated to Cyrene. “I will forgive you now. You can have that old slim Damon. But Minerva…I’ll take her to the grave, even if it means that I’ll join her.”
