The strangest shiver raced down her spine to the back of her neck as she was pulled up with just one thrust. Looking up, he saw a large man twice his size. Lia stared at him instantly enchanted with the beautiful face in front of her, she felt an unusual warmth and tried to remember if she had seen such beauty before and couldn't.
He just looked like a work of art he was so beautiful. Dressed in a very elegant black suede suit, he even looked like a model. However, the clothes were disheveled, the shirt open and the bow tie without a knot, not that this made him any less handsome, on the contrary, it only enhanced his human beauty. His dark brown eyes – very dark – not so big, the untouchable eyebrows, the drawn lips, the hard and masculine expression left her a little breathless.
He, in turn, looked at her with curiosity and a mixture of concern, although his gaze was dark, his eyes penetrated Lia's iris like a sorcerer wanting to read someone's mind. He felt the strange obsession of continuing to look at her at that moment.
Feeling intimidated and exposed by that look, she looked away, feeling her thighs contract and cool in an unusual way. He had never felt this way before, he pointed out again. The man continued to study her up and down as he felt his heart racing.
The two were.
Lia was pretty sure someone in a faraway country could hear her frantic pounding and she didn't understand why.
The man had never witnessed in front of him such a beautiful girl. A beauty unlike anything he had seen before. The sweet, perfectly drawn features caught his eye. The apparently tired face – consequences of many recent disappointments –, the drooping eyes opened with the intention of observing her a little longer, he couldn't not look at her, she was too beautiful and had left him intrigued.
However, his torn and ugly clothes didn't go unnoticed by him, frowning he thought what kind of people roamed the streets in overly torn robes even before dawn? She could be a beggar. Or really was.
— Thank you so much... — she thanked when she finally managed to breathe again — There! she exclaimed, feeling a sharp pain in her ribs.
- Did you get hurt? he asked with a look of solicitude.
- I do not know, I think so. It hurts a lot here. He pointed to his rib.
So he approached cautiously so as not to scare her, at that moment he thought about when he had been kind to someone before but ignored such a thought when she bit her lower lip and an expression of pain was born in her beautiful face.
- Can I? - he asked making mention of lifting her blouse just until he saw her wound.
Therefore, she quickly looked to the side seeing a sporty but very chic car with the headlights on and doors open, giving away that the person got out of it in a hurry. It established the obvious in seconds, he was the one who almost ran over her.
- I don't think so. She took two steps back in fright and almost fell back over the cliff.
- Why? I just want to know if you're hurt. I will not abuse you. he said, a little irritated.
Lia smelled the breath of alcohol and didn't avoid the automatic and disappointed question.
"Are you drunk?" He stated more than he asked. Her shocked expression made him let out a low chuckle.
- No. he replied dryly.
"But of course it is!" The smell of alcohol is so strong I could almost get drunk myself. she snapped, contracting her rib once more.
"Even if you were, why would it be any of your business?" His tone came out coarser than he'd intended, but he didn't care.
Never cared about anyone.
"Maybe because he almost ran me over and he was driving drunk!" That's a crime! she accused him in horror.
“Don't be dramatic, people do this every day. Are you going to tell me you don't know that most people drive drunk around? The man shrugged and snorted.
“I have no idea how reckless people are. she said and felt the pain rise, not preventing another grimace.
“Anyway, that's not important right now. Let me see your wound. — the man did not wait for permission and approached Lia pulling her away from the ravine.
"Are you some kind of doctor?" asked the girl, not thinking of protesting when the pain was getting too intense.
- No. he replied, positioning the girl in front of his car, close to the light.
"Then why do you want to see my wound?" he questioned with butterflies in his stomach.
“Every human being should know something about first aid. - commented finding the exact light so he could examine the girl. "Come on, this will be better." — the boy's strong hands held Lia's hips, lifting her easily to sit on the hood of the car.
"Do you even know what you're doing?" the young woman asked fearfully.
"And why wouldn't I know?" he answered sharply.
"You're very drunk, I don't think you can make out anything in that state." the girl implied.
"I told you I'm not drunk!" If you don't want me to see your wound, I'll leave with no conscience. I'm just trying to do you a favor. he snapped, and the young woman narrowed her eyes in indignation.
"Then don't look, fellas." You're the one who ran me over, I should be the one upset about it. Lia crossed her arms irritably.
"If I hadn't been wandering the streets at dawn, none of this would have happened!" he accused her rudely.
"I can't believe it's my fault now!" she shouted angrily and started to get off the hood of the car, but he stopped her.
Lazzaro grabbed his thighs automatically, throwing him a disapproving look. He hated being disobeyed.
Warm tingles arose in her where he touched her and spread throughout her body. The two stared at each other for a few seconds and both felt strange as they had never felt before.
"Don't make a fuss, I hate it." he scolded, ignoring what he felt.
"I can't even defend myself?" she hissed, cringing at the boor's scolding and he huffed. "You almost ran over me, I'm hurt and now I'm to blame?" I can't come to terms with this! She fumed and pushed his strong body away.
Soon his hands were stopped by two three times larger, then he squeezed making her moan in pain at the same time that she felt her skin burn.
- What are you? A five year old? he roared in disapproval.
"Oh my hand!" You... You... Ah, you boor! He smiled, he had never been cursed so sweetly.
"Just be quiet, okay?" he demanded in a whisper and she just nodded, unable to say another word when she felt the warm touch.
Lia stopped breathing properly when he approached her and with his long fingers lifted her blouse a little, her thighs were so close to each other that they ended up touching, the man felt the stubbornness of his masculinity pulsate, however it was a matter of focus on the hurt.
“There are a few scratches here, nothing serious. he said as he walked away.
"But it hurts a lot." he whimpered.
"It's fresh, hence the burning and not the pain."
“When I say it's pain it's pain. I'm the one feeling it. He felt irritation rise in his blood.
- He is well. I don't want to take the place of the second child in this stupid argument. He snorted irritably.
— I'm not a child and much less an idiot. He defended himself angrily.
- And yes. Now shut up, your yelling is giving me a headache.
"The hangover must be starting already and you want to blame me for the headache." he murmured low, obeying even without noticing his command.
She felt her face suddenly red when she was stared at by the dark eyes of that man who stared at her with an arched eyebrow.
Very stubborn and talkative this little person. he thought.
— You're red, miss... — he whispered in a deep voice, remembering not knowing what to call her — What's your name?
— Lia. Lia Hamilton. — he swallowed hard — And you? — He treated him with the education he had gained from his mother.
—Lazzaro Bartholomew. he replied.
Lázzaro suddenly grabbed Lia's wrist, placing two fingers on the lower one, giving a slight devilish smile, he looked at the girl who was looking like a red apple, their faces getting closer and closer.
“Your pulse is very fast, Miss Hamilton. You are afraid of me? - Provoked.
“M-Fear? - She smiled nervously - H-Of course not. - He shook his head.
- Careful. Next time, it might be a psychopath running her over.
Suddenly Lázzaro walked away with a mischievous smile, immediately getting into the car, returning in less than two minutes with an ointment. He always had a mini pharmacy inside the glove compartment containing several remedies for different and less likely situations.
- Here. He handed it to her. "I hope I'm redeemed with you." It was a pleasure Miss Hamilton. he uttered in a somewhat rude tone for Lia's liking.
She already got off the hood of the car, walked away when he got into the car and drove away. She was finally able to breathe properly and wondered what kind of sensations she felt when the strange man touched her.
— The kittens! he remembered and then looked down ignoring the pain.
Ready to go back down in search of her pets.
