Chapter 36
Ashley
For the first time in a while, my knees went weak. His words strikes right through my heart. Slowly and steady he his grip on me lossen and he spun me around staring straight into my eyes. "I love you"
"What are-"
He was quick in cutting me off. "I know you're thinking I'm saying it to make you stay, but it's the truth. I love you Ashley and I cannot imagine myself with any other woman. I need you in my life" To say I was shocked will be an understatement. Am I really in a real world. Resting his forehead on mine, he muttered out the words.
"I can't keep lying to myself". I love you so much that my life would be meaningless without you" Before his words could process in my head, he smashed his lips on mine. And just like someone who was already waiting, I respond to his kiss circling my arms around his neck deepening the kiss. The kiss started off slow, pouring all our emotions out. Neil pulled apart, staring straight into my eyes. "I want you" I whispered out.
And that's enough to unleash the desires in our bodies. We kissed each other hungrily. The living room got hot as we embark on our way to the bedroom our lips still connected to each other. At that moment, I knew what I wanted and there's no going back. I want him. He want me. We want each other. We landed on the bed. Neil reached for my dress zipper and I did the same.
I roamed my hands around his bare chest feeling every sense of my body arousing just by the mere sight. Heat crept into my body when Neil pulled the zipper down. And just like that he stopped kissing me pulling apart. "If you're not ready then we don't have to do it"
I didn't give him an answer instead, I connected our lips once again. And just like that, we pour out our desires. All night.

I stir in my sleep feeling heavy weight on my stomach. My eyes slowly opened to the face of my handsome bodyguard slash acting husband. A smile made it way out of my lips as I snuggle closer to his body which made him stir. "Did I wake you up?" I muttered lifting up my face.
His eyes snapped open on mine before a smile resonate out of his mouth too. "I woke up for a while now" he answered placing a small kiss on my lips. I quickly cover my mouth. "I haven't brush my teeth"
"And so?" He leaned over to place another kiss. And the hormones inside me didn't stop him. We fell into another world of ours. "I think we should stop already. Kristine and Mr. Michael will-"
He shush me by placing another kiss again. "Stop it Neil"
"Why? I like kissing you" I couldn't help but feel my inside turn by his statement. Well I like kissing him too but that should be a discussion for another day. Pulling the blanket a bit, the coldness got in contact with my bare skin.
"Should we shower together ?" Came Neil's voice. Passing him one of my glares, I proceeded to get out of bed when his next word render me speechless.
"There's nothing I haven't seen before" Using the pillow next to me, I lunge it at him which he was able to dodge. "Pervert!" I exclaimed before making a walk to the bathroom.
Even when I came out of the bathroom, Neil wasn't in the room. I'm sure he's in the living room with Kristine and Mr. Michael. God! Kristine will kill me with her interrogation. She will tease me to her heart content. Slipping in a pair of shirt and leggings, I made my way out. And like I predicted Neil was indeed with the rest. Mr.Micheal was the first to notice me.
"Ava, you're awake" Kristine stares me down with her gaze then Neil who offer out a smile.
"Good morning Sir" I began taking the seat beside Kristine.
"Good morning dear. I heard you were not feeling well" My eyes immediately snapped towards Neil. So that was the lie he told them. Good.
Not knowing how to answer, I decided to play along. "Yes sir. I'm feeling much better now"
He nodded his head in answer. "That's good to hear" He glanced at his wrist watch rising up to a standing position. "Let me get going. I'm running late. See you at the clinic Kristine"
"Sure sir"
As the man left, Kristine threw Neil and I her interrogation stare. "Um.. Kristine, aren't you running late for work" I commenced trying to kill off the thick silence that resonate within us.
"No I'm not. I have enough time. Besides, I'm only helping with some work. Nothing important" She answered taking a sip of her tea. "Really?" I asked again.
"Yeah. But..." She trailed off.
"But what?"
"Nothing. Let me just get going"
I almost let out a sigh of relief. If she leave at least I would be free from her teases for a while. See you later then" She let out a smile but her eyes didn't leave both of us.
"Do you need anything?" Neil asked after keeping quite for a while
"I don't plan on saying this, I'm rooting for you guys" Before any of us could get the chance to answer, she alighted away rendering us speechless.
"God! I almost had an heart attack" My heart almost did a flip when Neil rest his hand on my thigh leaning closer to my ear and whispered. "I can calm your beating heart. I know a way to"
Nudging him a bit, shifted giving some space between us. "From now on you're going to talk to me within one inch distance between us" His brows raised in question.
"Why is that? I know you want me as much as I want you so why beating around the bush" I rolled my eyes at him. "I'm heading to Mrs. Grace's restaurant"
"Let's go together. I have something to tell you"
