CHAPTER 19 - THE RIGHT DECISION
As soon as she was out of the janitor’s closet, Diana’s tears started falling once again and she can’t even make it stop. She kept walking looking on the ground just to avoid other people staring at her. She reached the parking lot where Charissa is anxiously waiting inside her car. She tried wiping the tears but it's just keeps on pouring.
"Just please drive Cha." Diana never stopped sobbing.
Her best friend need not to be told twice and followed her request as always. Chantal decided to take her away from the pack house so they can talk what happened.
"I let you cried all the way bestie but it doesn't mean I'm letting it go I have never seen you this way, please tell me what happened in there?" Charissa stopped the engine.
“I felt very ashamed with myself.” Diana anticipated her friend’s reaction.
“I don’t have whole day Diana, tell me what happened or I swear I’ll tell your brother about this.” Charissa threatened her but of course she won’t do that it’s just that she as getting crazy on what to think.
“Tyrone and I mated.” Diana revealed.
"What?!" Her expressions is full of shocked.
“So are you finally together and my bitchy sister will be out of the picture?” Charissa asked.
"No we’re not." Diana straightly answered.
"They what is the real deal between the two of you?" Charissa creased her eyebrows.
Diana decided to tell everything from the whole conversations, his insults and how he used their heat for his sexual pleasure. She kept brawling and Diana can sense her friend is reaction is ready to kill him.
“That bastard how dare him!” Her voice echoed inside the car.
"Charissa! Calm down!!" Diana shakes her shoulders.
"Calm down? Are you really out of your mind?!" Charissa is fuming and her face was all read.
"I didn't fight it because I thought it was enough to convince and changed his mind about the rejection. We both wanted it the only difference is the motive; I just didn't expect it to be that way." Diana reasoned with her.
"I can’t believe that bastard will just think of you that low! He used you for his own good and nothing else! He emotionally and physically abused you! That's not a proper way to treat a mate!" Her temper rises.
"Now I know why your scent is mixed.” Charissa concluded.
“I know you will notice it but promise me you will not utter a single word about this not even to Marcel, please?" Diana begged her.
"I am beginning to hate that word but fine I pinkie swear.” Her friend agreed.
“I thought he will finally take back his word but I was so wrong I was an idiot to believe my own assessment about him.” Diana received a warm hug from her friend who did not judged her.
“I’m here just let it all out.” Charissa consoled her.
“I never felt so humiliated and so degraded in my entire life until he did.” She started to cry.
“If there is anyone who should feel that it’s certainly not you.” Her friend stated.
“I feel so used and stupid.” She blamed herself more.
“It’s not your fault, he is your mate.” Charissa kept patting her back.
“Not anymore.” She sniffed a little while crying.
“What do you mean? Wait… please tell me you didn’t.” He friend can only guess what she did.
"It's over Cha I already accepted his rejection." Diana revealed to her friend.
Charissa has been constantly with her and for five consecutive years she can read her body language. She can tell if Diana is lying or even hiding a smallest detail from her and it's the same with Charissa. If she's in trouble or if feeling down Diana can sense it immediately.
“Are you ready to face all the consequences?" She asked her.
"I rather accept it than feeling the pain constantly and get all those accusations." Diana loosened their hug slightly.
"What about your wolf?" She sighed.
"We both agreed on it earlier in the bathroom, this is s better I will not feel any more pain and he can go claim any girl he wants. It’s about time that I stop my own stupidity and convinced myself that he will changed and takes me back.” Diana speaks some more with few tears coming out of her eyes.
"What if you get pregnant? The chances are too high for you to conceive a pup." She opened the topic.
Diana is aware of that matter and it will be difficult on her part considering they are living in the same house. One thing is for sure she will bare his child alone she just doesn't know how.
"I don't even know to be honest, the only thing I'm worried for now is the effects of this rejection but whatever it is me and my wolf will be ready." Diana strong will stated.
"I'm sorry you had to experience it.” Her friend felt sad too.
“It’s okay; trust me I don't care about him anymore. My goal is to forget about him and make sure we will not cross path again. We are no longer mates anyways so I can forget him easily." Diana convinced her.
“Still I will be relaying that after effect to Mom to make sure." She reminded her.
"Thanks bestie." She hugged her friend.
"But we can't keep this for too long at least tell your brother about finding your mate." Her friend convinced Diana.
"If the effects and this pregnancy happen, I will leave to avoid him. Maybe I am intended to be alone." She sighed deeply.
"No you can't leave and definitely you won't be alone." She opposed.
"If worse comes to worse then we will figure something out." Diana assured her.
"What are you going to tell him when your tummy suddenly gets big? We all know you can give birth in a month unless you want to abort it." She stared Diana’s flat stomach.
Whether Diana admit it or not, her brother will figure out what's happening so she preferred leaving the pack together with the name of her ex-mate. A month of mating, a female werewolf will start to show their pregnancy and its gets more prominent when they are in wolf form. Since they are half human, the size of the stomach will be like a melon and it will not get bulge because all the weight will be added on the pups itself.
"We will cross the bridge when we get there. If that happens I'm not aborting it because my child will be the only reminder that I had a mate once." Diana’s wasn’t aware that she touched her stomach.
"Whatever happens I'm here and I'll support every decision you make." She held Diana’s hand.
"Thanks Cha, anyways you need to get going before the next class started I'll see you later for the notes." Diana reminded her.
"Yeah, let’s get you to the pack house." She reeved the engine.
