EARLY MORNING

The next morning also Marie woke up early without an alarm. Maybe someone said it right, there is nothing that you cannot achieve if you truly want it and have your mind fixed on it. That was the reason that Marie did not need an alarm to wake up early only because she had plans of meeting Jean and despite the fact that she was not a morning person.

In school and in the hostel everything was fine, but even if she woke up in the morning to have breakfast on the weekends, she would still get in bed soon after and stay lazy for the whole time. That would even happen during her holidays at home, but this time it was different. Waking up so early was not her thing to do, and her parents knew it very well.

But seeing her up and ready the second morning as well was enough to make her step-mom doubt even more strongly that something was definitely up with her. Delilah purposely did not say anything to Marie when she offered to take Shadow for his morning walk. It would be a great opportunity for her that she was getting by staying at home to mingle with Mr. Jones as both of them were not getting enough time together because he was lately all the more occupied with his office work.

Once Marie stepped out with Shadow, Delilah locked the door after which she went to her bedroom where Mr. Jones had just woken up and was having tea while reading the newspaper. Delilah walked inside the room with her hopes at the peak that Mr. Jones was going to pay attention to her and maybe use this morning for his own benefit since Delilah was home with Marie gone out to walk the dog and Rebecca was asleep.

She purposely lifted her nighty from the sides a little extra to give out a naughty vibe, but Mr. Jones was too engrossed in reading the newspaper and relishing his morning tea. He did not even once acknowledge Delilah in the room, and he also did not ask about Shadow in spite of the fact that it was time for someone to take him for his morning walk.

Instead of Delilah getting upset, she went and sat next to him and put her hand on his thigh. That was the time when Mr. Jones looked up to understand why she was unnecessarily touching him because he was least interested in building any physical relationship with her after the big major fight that had happened at home between her and Marie during her last winter vacation.

While he was looking at her to hear a reason from her, Delilah started moving her hand a little to the top to grab his manhood and shamelessly she started biting her lower lip with her teeth as her hand was stroking on his thigh to give him a hint of what she was expecting him to do. It was not very difficult to understand from the expression she had, but still Mr. Jones asked, “What do you want?”

“We have some time to ourselves, dear. Let’s make love as we used to do before,” Delilah suggested.

“No, thank you,” Mr. Jones replied sternly.

“But, dear, you said Marie was suffering, and I gave it time. Now you can see that she is happy and has a boyfriend too. Call off the deal of not getting physical, please,” Delilah requested.

“Marie has a boyfriend, you said?” Mr. Jones asked.

“Yes, she has.”

“How do you know?”

“What other reason could there be for the smile on her face these days?” Delilah stated the obvious, and she also mentioned, “All the girls of her age are making boyfriends now. Times have changed. Give your all to me, dear.”

“No, no, wait. So, you are assuming that my daughter has a boyfriend?”

“She is also my daughter,” Delilah said in order to avoid answering that question.

“Leave me alone, Delilah, please go,” Mr. Jones ordained.

“Why are you so negative for me when I love Marie the same way I love Rebecca?” Delilah asked as she got up from the bed and walked out of the room.

Mr. Jones picked up his phone to divert his mind and smiled while going through the expected message. That was enough for him to begin his day smiling and looking forward to it. The message read: “Good morning, love. I hope you slept well because you will sleep very well when you are here with me. Have a great day at work! Message me when you reach office.”

In the meantime, Marie was walking to the park with her sparkling eyes hoping to meet Jean without anyone keeping a watch on them. She got a little disappointed not finding Jean where she found her yesterday evening, but because she had come there to walk her dog, she continued walking.

Hearing the steps of someone running to her, she turned back and was surprised to see Jean bending forward and breathless because of the running she was doing.

“I thought you would not come,” Marie said.

“That can never be the case. If you call, I will be there,” Jean stated.

“You are my best friend,” Marie mentioned.

“That’s it?” Jean questioned, and as Marie raised her eyebrow unable to understand why was she asked if that was it because both of them were best friends only.

“I am sorry, are you not my best friend?” Marie asked.

“Best friend is a small word to describe who I am to you because I want to be so much more,” Jean explained, and that was more than enough for Marie to get a hint from her about being interested in taking their friendship to the next level.

Both of them willingly held hands and walked Shadow in the park without feeling weird about people staring at them only because grown-up girls were holding hands and walking as there were just the fitness freaks in the park who were focused on exercising and were barely looking around to judge what the other person was doing over there.

Jean and Marie felt a lot closer to each other as they were publicly holding hands without fearing anyone and anything. Regardless of the people not being there, they at least showed a little progression and succeeded to take their bond to another level. That was a major event for both of them.

Before they went back to their homes, they discussed meeting at a friend’s birthday party which was going to happen the next day, and he had invited the entire class for it. Perhaps that could be another life-changing experience for the two girls to move forward on the path which they have chosen.
