Chapter 24

Linnea POV

I woke up early and cooked breakfast. I just want to make Hunter’s breakfast today and I don’t know why. I think I already admit to myself that I’m starting to like him but I wanna keep it for myself since we are still facing a problem and I’m also afraid that he will know about my feelings for him he will change.

At first he didn't agree with my plan but I forced him3. I was the only reason why Aiden kept making trouble so it would be better for me to just face him because I know he will stop too.

Then when I had already finished cooking I arranged it on the tray and brought it to the bedroom. The maid helped me because I couldn’t afford to carry everything.

When we entered the room, the maid left immediately. While Hunter was still asleep, I thought of taking a bath first and letting him sleep first because he looked tired.

When I came out of the bathroom I saw Hunter sitting in the chair. "You’re already awake.” I said.

"I just woke up, why did you get up so early?"

"Because I can't go back to sleep so I just went downstairs and cooked breakfast." I answered.

"You cook this?"

I nodded. "Eat that while it's still hot." I command him.

"Join me here, I think you didn’t eat either."

"Ah yes, just wait and I'll just comb my hair." I nodded and walked over to the cabinet.

"I wanna ask if you have already changed your mind Linnea." I looked at him when he said that.

"We talked about this last night, didn't we? This can't always be the scenario of our lives. I'm also tired and I want a peaceful life."

He sighed and did not speak again.

After we ate, Hunter immediately took a shower so that we could leave, Aiden also texted where we would meet him.

When we were both finished we left the house to go to the place we were told. While we were in the car no one spoke to us, I didn't bother Hunter either because he was just looking at the road seriously.

Until now I don't know if this is the right decision of mine but it needs to be done if it will be the way to end the trouble between the two of them.

Aiden wants to play games not with me but with Hunter, so even if he confesses how he feels to me I still can't say if it's true or not because I already know he is using me in the first place to get revenge on Hunter.

He is a childish billionaire!

When we got to the place Hunter and I immediately got off and went inside. When we got there I saw Aiden with some of his men and behind them there was a car.

I looked at Hunter as I noticed his grip tighten on my hand as if he didn't want to let go. I smiled at him to reassure that everything will be alright.

I hugged him for a few seconds then let go. Slowly he let go of one of his hands that was holding me and I walked closer to Aiden.

"You know what Aiden, your game is so dirty, you don't know how to be fair to others. Aren't you ashamed of what you're doing?. You're acting like a child. That's the remote you are holding on. Why don't you press that in front of me now? I dare you to do that Aiden if you're really brave. " I said boldly.

"What are you doing Linnea? Are you crazy?" Hunter shouted angrily, but I didn't look back at him.

"Now Aiden, why don't you pull that thing in your hand?" I said again.

"I didn't know that being smart woman also becomes stupid often. You know Linnea I didn't know you would do this thing just for that man." Aiden's promise.

"If I'm stupid, what else do you call yourself? Aren't you more stupid because you're forcing things you shouldn't." I answered him..

I saw his face become darkened which means he is now angry and I was surprised when he pointed his gun at Hunter.

"What are you doing? Put the gun down!" I shout at him.

"You think I'll let you die Linnea? I won't! If anyone dies here among us we'll make sure it's Hunter. So choose now to come with me or that man will die?"

Since I didn't want Hunter to get hurt I need to go with Aiden for now. I slowly walked closer to the car but before I finally entered. I looked at Hunter.

"We'll see each other again Hunter, I promise you, I'll be back."- I thought and went inside.

Later, I saw Aiden sit beside me, I didn't even notice that he was following me.

We were both silent until our car. I know Hunter can’t follow us since some of Aiden’s men left there to make sure that Hunter can’t chase us.

I’m wishing that Hunter will be safe and everything will go back to normal.

I didn't even tell my friend all this even though she often visits the house because I don't want her to know everything that's going on because I know it will worry her too much and I don't want her to get involved in the tires we have.

How I wish Hunter and I would be well and happy when it's all over.
