Chapter 28
Aiden POV
I really can't quite imagine that the day will come when Hunter and I will get along and he will still help me with the problem I have, just like what Linnea did at first. I don't think she will come back and save me. If it wasn’t for the two of them I would have died.
When I was still living in another country like Hunter, I also had illegal businesses that were managed and the problem happened one after another so I thought about leaving and going home to the Philippines, so I know if my other investors were angry because I left them in the air.
While we were getting ready to leave the hospital, Hunter mentioned that I needed to stay in his house for my own safety while he was still fixing the problem, so I didn't complain anymore because he knew I wouldn't stop either. of this man when I did not consent.
It's also okay for me to have someone at home, unlike before when I trained myself to live alone since my parents passed away. He was right between the two of us, I was the one who changed and he wasn't, I was the one who made the way for us to have a fight.
And now that we were on the way home, none of us tried to speak.
"Ahm, Hunter ..." Linnea suddenly broke the silence.
"What is it?" Hunter asked.
"Because Ciara called me earlier, she said she will go in the house because she heard what happened to me so she wanted to visit me." She said,
"Sure, she can go in the house anytime." Hunter answered.
Soon we arrived at the house, we were met by Hunter’s maid and took my belongings. When we entered the house, someone suddenly hugged Linnea.
"Best! How are you? What just happened?" the woman asked, looking like it was the friend Linnea was referring to.
She's gorgeous and sexy.
"I just had an accident, so don't worry because I'm okay." Linnea answered.
I frowned and looked at Hunter but he just shrugged. I don’t know why he didn't tell her friend what really happened.
"By the way best, this is Aiden, he's Hunter's friend." Linnea introduced me to her friend.
The woman smiled at me. She's really pretty. "Hi nice to meet you, I'm Ciara Hendrix, best friend of Linnea."
I also smiled at her. "Nice to meet you too."
Hunter first invited me to go upstairs to point out my room and change my clothes.
Ciara POV
"Best you didn't say that Hunter still has a friend except for Dane. " I said to Linnea while we were sitting here in the living room.
"You are too busy that’s why you never met him before and I know you like Dane." Linnea teased me.
I scolded her. “I think I changed my mind and I don’t like Dane. Is Aiden single?" I asked.
"Well, Dane doesn’t like you too and he doesn't have time for love because he's more focused on his job. And about Aiden, why did you ask?"
"Because he's handsome, so if Dane doesn't like me, maybe Aiden can." I said laughing.
"You're crazy."
We were just talking about many things. When we saw the two approaching us we started eating what their maids had prepared and then we decided to have a drink because it’s almost night already
We talked a lot while drinking, while Aiden was just quiet and only spoke once so I hated it more.
Soon Hunter stood up and walked towards the terrace and Aiden followed him.
"Hey Linnea Georgenia, what's with you and Hunter?" I asked my friend.
She shrugged backwards. "What's that question Ciara?"
"Well, I’m just curious, that's why I ask you, you've been living here in his house for how many months, it's impossible that nothing is going on to the both of you, you can't fool me woman." I said and pulled her hair.
"I don't know, we haven't talked about that yet."
I haven't spoken because I don't seem to be able to get an answer from this woman.
On the other hand, the two young men were standing side by side on the terrace.
"Thank you for everything." Aiden said to Hunter.
The young man looked at him. "You don't need to thank me, you were no different from me in the first place and wanted to help you." He answered.
"I won't wonder why Linnea loves you."
Hunter looked at him as if wondering what he said. "What now? What kind of look is that, I'm just telling the truth. And Linnea loves you because if not she won't come back to you. Even if I'm with her I feel she's thinking of you, I did everything but no, he really loves you. " Aiden's long litany.
Hunter was speechless because even he could not believe what he heard. All he had on his mind was that he was the only one falling for Linnea and now that he had found out from Aiden the matter had flared up hope in his heart.
He knew then that there was no hope that Linnea would love him because he knew he was the reason why the woman was involved in his chaotic world.
Aiden noticed Hunter's silence so he put his arm around him. "Plan now on how to confess to her.” Aiden said.
Later, he decided to go back inside to look at the two women and they found them lying on the sofa, they looked drunk so they looked at each other and shook their heads.
