A New Mission

"I thought you live in London?"

Rosaline said as she looked at Xavier in shock. She had expected that Xavier will bring her to London since that was where he was living currently but she was surprised as he brought her to Italy and that too...

Back to the same house which she had left several years ago....

The house which had stashed the memories of one's cruelty and one's miseries.....

The house whose walls still reverberates with her sobs and his roars....

The house which always yearned to see the love of the two souls but it had only witness their hatred......

But it is also substantial as it is the epitome of one's mad love and one's unfaithfulness....

And it will be the place which will embark upon a new journey but with a happy end?

Everything turned back to square one. Xavier smirked as he saw Rosaline's petrified face. All the haunted and dreadful memories rushed in her mind again as she stared at the mansion in horror. Rosaline turned maudlin as past memories started flooding in her mind making her eyes teary.

Xavier saw her glossy eyes. He smirked but deep inside his heart he felt hurt. He sighed in frustration as he couldn't let himself melt down from her tears. At least that's what he had promised to himself. He quickly grabbed her wrist and dragged her inside the house harshly. Rosaline flinched and started pulling her hands from his tight grip.

They both came inside the living room when Rosaline yanked away his hands harshly and shouted.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING? LEAVE-"

She halted in between when her gaze landed on a lady with a sexy figure standing with her arms crossed over her chest. She was just drop-dead gorgeous.

She was none other than Katherine.

"Well well, look who do we got here?"

Katherine spoke while ogling Rosaline. Rosaline looked at her confused.

"How do you know me and who are you?"

She asked staring at her back. Katherine smirked but before she could reply, a deep husky voice echoed inside the room leaving Rosaline shocked.

"She is my girlfriend"

Rosaline immediately turned around and looked at Xavier who was standing at the entrance with his hands tugged in the pocket of his trousers. She remained rooted on the spot as she was stricken with shell shock. Xavier flashed her a smirk and glanced at Katherine who was making eyes at him. He poked his inner cheek with his tongue mentally cursing her. Katherine then swayed her hips around sexily and went near him. She coiled her arms around his neck and pulled him a little closer.

"Babe, I was waiting for you like hell. Where were you?"

She whined while snuggling in his chest. Xavier also wrapped his long arms around her tiny waist and pulled her closer.

"Sorry babygirl, I just got caught up in some useless business but don't worry, Daddy is gonna make it up to you"

He spoke in a seductive tone caressing her waist gently.

But they both got startled when Rosaline all of a sudden tore Katherine off his grip roughly and pushed her back with full force. Katherine couldn't maintain her balance and kissed the floor. Xavier shifted his eyes towards Rosaline only to find her glaring him.

"What the hell is this?"

He asked her in such a calm tone which only fuelled the fire of the young lady standing in front of him.

By now everyone gathered inside the living room ready to cheer up for the showdown which was about to commence in a few seconds. Noah looked at Katherine who stood up with so much difficulty and was giving Xavier a sullen look as he didn't even bother to help her. His lips got curved into a smile as he controlled himself best not to burst into laughter.

"I should be asking you the same question, Mr. Knight"

Rosaline spat in anger. Everyone in the room was left stupefied watching the sudden change in her demeanour but became surprise as they saw Xavier scoff at her.

"So what? Do I need your permission for that?"

Xavier rasped. Rosaline smirked and crossed her arms over her chest.

"Why? Isn't it obvious since I am your wife"

Katherine clenched her fists tightly and yelled at her

"Now you remember that you are his wife huh? Then why-"

She couldn't finish as Rosaline raised her index finger indicating her to shut her mouth up.

"I am talking to my husband not to you bitch, so just shut the fuck up and get lost from here, right now!!"

She gritted. Noah looked at her in shock as this was something which no one has ever expected especially from the shy and innocent Rosaline. On the other hand, Antonio smiled as he liked the way she bashed that arrogant caked face.

Katherine looked at Rosaline with flaming eyes and ran to attack her. She raised her hands ready to hit her but Rosaline quickly caught her hand in mid-air and twisted it. Katherine whined in pain. She tried to free herself when Rosaline pushed her back on the ground making her greet the mother earth again.

"WHAT THE HELL!!"

Katherine yelled in anger. Rosaline smirked and then shifted her gaze to Xavier who was watching the whole drama quietly.

"Rose?"

Rosaline froze on her spot. Her breath hitched as a soft familiar voice echoed in her ears. She instantly turned around and saw....

"Jennie?"

She whispered while staring her in shock. Jennifer looked down in shame as she didn't had courage to look in her eyes. Rosaline looked at her in anguish. Tears got collected in the corner of her eyes but she blinked them away and scoffed.

"So, I wasn't the only one who cheated?"

Rosaline said in a mocking tone and turned around. She then looked at Xavier who kept staring her blankly.

"It's even now Xavier. Now what will you say about me when you yourself had got a whole squad of perjurers?"

She chuckled. Xavier then took a step forward and looked at her fiercely.

"They aren't perjurers Rose, they're my staunch friends. My trustworthy and victorious army"

He spoke calmly while staring at her. Rosaline scoffed.

"Victorious? Pfft, don't make me laugh Xavier. I saw the type of people you had recruited in your army who can't even stand against an ordinary woman. And please, I don't call loyal to those whose works are nothing but smokes and mirrors"

She spoke while looking at Noah. Noah clenched his fists tightly.

"Don't you dare disrespect me alright? You are nothing in front of me. I can put a bullet straight in your head right now. And besides I think Xavier would feel thankful to me if I kill his cheater, gold-digger wife in front of him?"

He snarled. Rosaline laughed at his words making his blood boil more.

"Mr. Miller, I didn't even take your name. Guess you yourself recognized who you really are. Well, I don't blame you either and neither I am interested in your bullshits. And drop your idea of killing me if you don't want my real husband to put you up in jail as he did before"

She smirked at him while his eyes widened at her statement. It was crystal clear that she was talking about Vincent. Rosaline then looked at Xavier but got surprised as he was still wearing those calm expressions.

"Will you tell me where should I go or are you planning to make me stand here for the rest of the day?"

Xavier didn't say anything. He then looked at Jennifer. She immediately nodded and walked up to Rosaline.

"Rosaline, come with me. I'll show you the room"

Rosaline looked at her for some time making her nervous. She then gave her a curt nod and then they both left.

Xavier watched Rosaline as she made her way upstairs. Noah huffed in frustration and stormed off the mansion. Elijah and Sebastian followed him quietly. Katherine looked at Xavier but he didn't even glance at her once making her furious. She stomped her foot and left the place angrily.

Antonio looked at Xavier who seemed lost in thoughts. He approached him.

"Xavier? Are you alright?"

Antonio wasn't delighted to see his calm expressions because his calmness is only the signal of some serious danger.

But he became surprised when Xavier took a deep sigh before speaking in a husky voice while staring in the direction from where Rosaline had left.

"Something is fishy."

Rosaline entered inside the room and scanned ger surroundings. Jennifer looked at her and tried to break the ice.

"How are you, Y-"

"You can leave now"

Jennifer became shocked hearing her cold voice. But she was at fault though as she betrayed her when Rosaline loved her as her sister. Tears filled in her eyes. But she didn't have the courage to face her so she nodded her head merely and left while shutting the door quietly.

As soon as Jennifer left, Rosaline immediately locked the door and turned around. She quickly went inside the washroom and shut the door. She took out her necklace.

There was a hidden camera inside it.

Yes, the necklace had a small secret camera. She quickly opened the first two buttons of her shirt and took out an earpiece from her brassiere. She clicked it.

"V?"

"Rosa? You alright?"

Rosaline sighed in relief hearing his voice while her eyes turned watery.

"I-I a-am f-fine"

She quickly placed her palm on her mouth as a sob escaped her lips.

"Hey! What's wrong? Tell me, did anything happen?"

Vincent said as he panicked hearing her muffled cries. More tears escaped her eyes as Rosaline recalled what happened downstairs. How people humiliated her in front of Xavier but he didn't say anything. The guy who used to rip the heads off those who dare to bad mouth about his love was today listening everyone quietly while they kept snubbing her. They kept calling her a cheater, a gold-digger, a bitch but Xavier didn't even say a word.

"No, everything is fine. I am perfectly fine"

Rosaline assured him while wiping off her tears quickly.

"Are you sure?", Vincent asked her again.

"Y-Yes, I am perfectly fine. Now tell me what I have to do next?"

Rosaline quickly tried to change the subject or else she would burst into tears.

"Alright, now you just have to keep eyes on his next move. I warn you Rosa, don't try to explore his mansion as it can be dangerous. Just see what he will do next and wait for my signal before taking an action. By the way, where are you right now?"

"I am in the washroom as I am hundred percent sure they aren't any cameras here. But V, how come you all were not able to trace Xavier if he was still in Italy and that too in his old mansion?"

Rosaline asked him as she was shocked as why CIA wasn't able to trace him when he was still living in his old mansion.

"I was myself shocked Rosa as we have searched Italy around hundred times. But recently we have found out that Xavier had access to our security team and had even hacked our surveillance cameras with the help of Noah. Noah was called number one for a reason. He is good in everything. But don't worry I have come to know that Leon is back. He'll secure our hacking system back. Our entire team is currently working on it. For now, you have to make sure that Xavier doesn't get suspicious about you. And don't get scared, we'll be watching you 24/7. But make sure no one is able to see this necklace and do take care of yourself, alright?"

"Yeah sure. Don't worry", Rosaline replied softly.

"Bye, I love you"

With that he ended the call. Rosaline held the phone in her hand in shock as this was the first time he said "I love you" to her.

"Rose, are you there?"

Rosaline flinched as she heard a voice from outside. She quickly put the earpiece back inside her shirt and buttoned her shirt up. She washed off her face and settled her hair. Rosaline then quickly came out of the restroom and opened the door while wiping off her face with the towel.

"Who are you?"

She said while staring at the blonde in front of her.

The blonde didn't reply her instead she quickly pushed her inside the room and locked the door. Rosaline became scared was about to attack her when she quickly grabbed her wrists and whisper-yelled.

"Don't panic, I am Emily Stone. I work for CIA"

Rosaline looked at her in shock but slowly calmed down a little. Emily removed her palms off her mouth.

"So, you know me too?"

Rosaline asked her as she was still in a daze. Emily nodded.

"I was assigned the task to capture Xavier Knight, the leader of The Scorpions. Well at that time I didn't knew about it because Boss didn't give me much information regarding him but-"

She clenched her fists tightly in anger.

"But?", Rosaline looked at her in confusion. Emily then heaved a deep sigh and looked at her.

"A member of our gang betrayed us and sided with Xavier. Xavier then threatened me to kill Dave, our senior agent if I didn't work with them. I didn't have any option left so I had to do that"

Emily said sadly while looking down. Rosaline looked at her and held her hands.

"Don't be upset. You did the right thing. You need not to feel bad for that"

Emily smiled and hugged her. Rosaline returned it back. They soon broke the hug. Emily's gaze then fell down on her necklace. She smirked.

"So, CIA is watching you?"

Rosaline quickly looked down and nodded.

"Yes. You're working with The Scorpions now?"

Rosaline asked while looking her with narrowed eyes. Emily scoffed.

"Yes, I do. And being one of his gang members"

In a flash of light, Emily pulled the necklace off her neck and threw it on the floor. Before Rosaline could process the situation, Emily immediately crushed it with the tip of her heels breaking it into pieces.

"WH-", Rosaline was about to scream at her but Emily quickly signalled her to shut up. Rosaline frowned but still she nodded. Emily then bent down and collected all the pieces in her hands and went inside the restroom. She quickly threw them in the pot and flushed them. She locked the door and turned around glaring at Rosaline.

"Why did you do that?", Rosaline asked her, her tone was a bit stern.

"Because Xavier has installed cameras all over the mansion except the washroom. I needed to show my loyalty to him that's why I did that. But Rose, what CIA is doing with you is also not right"

Emily spat with gritted teeth while Rosaline stared her confusingly.

"I am sorry but you don't know anything Rose. Those CIA men are using you as a key to get information about The Scorpions. Don't you think Xavier will not know about this?"

"B-But Vincent told me-",

Rosaline tried to explain her but she immediately cut her in midway.

"What Boss had told you doesn't matter, what matters is what Xavier does. Don't you think he doesn't know why are you here or how can you think that he wouldn’t had seen your pendant by now?"

Emily said. Rosaline looked at her in shock.

"What?"

Emily nodded.

"You don't get yourself involved in all this mess. You don't know anything and I'll advise you to keep it this way only"

Emily spoke softly but Rosaline quickly shook her head vigorously and glared her.

"No, what are you saying? I have promised V that I will help him catch The Scorpions. Xavier needs to pay for what he did to me and my friends"

"You don't understand Rose, they-"

Emily tried to make her understand but Rosaline quickly shut her as she raised her palm in front of her face.

"I know what you're trying to say that this is CIA and Xavier's fight and I shouldn't get myself involved"

"Yes", Emily quickly replied.

"And what should I do? Run away again?"

Rosaline again asked her. Emily nodded. All of a sudden Rosaline started laughing making her confused.

"Why, what happened? I am saying this for your own sake girl"

Rosaline then looked at her but Emily became surprised when she saw tears sparkling in her eyes.

"And then what, keep running for the rest of my life. Emily, why don't you all understand? Xavier will always find out about my whereabouts and catch me. I will never be able to live in peace. I am tired of all this. So, it's better if I help CIA to capture him. I don't care about him anymore. I just want to live for myself. When he doesn't care about me then why should I care about him? After all this drama, I will go far away from everyone and live as I want. But I can't do that now. You yourself said that Xavier is way ahead of everyone. So, the only way out is to have him captured"

Emily gaped at her words.

"But don't you guys love each other?"

Rosaline smiled sadly.

"There is no love between us. It's only obsession. His psychotic obsession. He is crazy about me but I have understood that he is crazier how to defeat CIA, mainly V. CIA is not using me as a key, Xavier is using me as a key. He will do anything to defeat CIA even if he has to hurt me. He never loved me. I don't know what's between Vincent and him, why Xavier hates him. I don't know why V helped me but still I will always support him.

Emily looked at her in shock.

"But why are you choosing Vincent over Xavier?"

Emily spoke frustratingly. Rosaline smiled.

"It's because he took my hand when my own family blamed me for marrying Xavier. I always tried to make our marriage strong so I keep forgiving him even though he hurt me so much. I did all this to protect my family but still he killed Rebecca who was like my sister. She loved me very much. Rebecca always told me to stay away from Xavier but I was blindly in love with him at that time. But because of me she, Nick and Mark died. I am the cause of all of my friends' death. I am the cause of everyone's death. Everyone is suffering because of me only. So shouldn't I be avenging their death or forget about everything and live with the man who killed them brutally?"

She cried. Emily's gaze softened as she patted her back to calm her down.

"But why are you supporting Vincent? I mean you two don't love each other"

Rosaline wiped off her tears and looked at her.

"Love doesn't only mean skinship Emily. It is a strong bond connecting two souls who promise to keep each other safe and sound and support them even in the worst situations. And Vincent and I share that type of bond. In these four years of marriage, he never ever forced me nor did he ever tried to touch me inappropriately and that too without my permission. He also never yelled at me nor did he ever got pissed with my sullen mood. I never gave him the love and care of a wife but he never even complaint either. He always said that we are friends and we'll keep this relationship this way only. I always felt myself so safe and secure around him but on the other hand with Xavier, I always felt dread. He always used to hit me and force me. I was too scared of him. I was becoming insane Emily. He said this is love but who hurts the one whom you love?"

Rosaline said in a broken voice. She then looked at Emily with tears rolling down her eyes. After listening to her patiently, Emily slowly patted her back and smiled.

"You are right Rosaline. A flower like you is meant to be cherished not to be destroyed. You definitely belong to someone who truly loves you nor hurts you. Do what you want to do. I will always support you. But Rosaline, the path on which you have decided to walk will be filled with thorns. Are you sure you want to do this? It's never too late. You can change your decision now also, no one will judge you"

She spoke while looking at her worriedly but Rosaline held her hands assuring her.

"I have already decided and I am not backing off this time"

Emily was worried as Rosaline herself was flying into the face of danger. She feared as Rosaline was familiar with the old Xavier who no doubt was dangerous and a psycho lover but still, he cared about her. But the Xavier whom she had seen and had analysed was full of spleen and can go up to any extent to quench his thirst of vengeance.

Still Emily smiled as she didn't wanted to make her more worried and simply nodded.

But they both didn't knew.....

Xavier was watching everything from his laptop with blood-red eyes and clenched jaw.

Yes, he had installed cameras in Rosaline's washroom as he already knew that she was up to something.

~Flashback

"Let's go"

Xavier spoke while holding Rosaline's hands.

Rosaline turned back and looked at Vincent with teary-eyes. He smirked at her. She smirked back and then turned to the front.

While they both were talking with each other through eyes, Xavier saw everything from the glass door. He glanced at Rosaline only to see her looking down while smiling to herself. Xavier didn't spoke anything and they both slowly made their way out of the house.

End of flashback~

Xavier knew that Vincent had sent her here to grab the information about him and his gang. He clenched his fists tightly in anger not because of CIA but about the fact that after failing miserably now they were using Rosaline to get him. He was happy to see the new Rosaline but all his happiness waned as soon as he saw her affection for Vincent.

Xavier smirked menacingly while staring the screen with dark eyes.

"I agree I have hurt you too much my Rose but still I will never let you go away. Call me a freak, call me a psycho but still I can't let you go. After all, these years of separation have only increased my madness for you ten times more. You definitely know too much about me my naive Rosebud but you forgot....

I don't like to share what's mine"
