"Thank God"

Jennifer sighed in relief while Antonio smirked at Emily's frozen figure.

There stood the Mafia in front of them while carrying a sleeping Rosaline in his arms. Her petite figure was draped in his black coat properly and her head was lying on his chest. Xavier was descending the stairs slowly and carefully making sure not to wake up his sleeping beauty.

Emily's eyes widened as she looked at Xavier in astonishment. The terrace was about 10 floors above the floor where they stood right now but he didn't look exhausted at all. His face was cold and his eyes were blank. He was carrying Rosaline as if she weighs nothing.

As soon as Xavier approached them, Jennifer rushed to him.

"Oh my God, what happened to her? Is she alright?"

She looked at Rosaline with teary-eyes and caressed her hair.

"Xavier, what happened-"

Jennifer halted as she noticed his dark eyes. She immediately shut herself up and left his way. Xavier then turned around and looked at Emily who kept staring him with her jaw hanging.

"Be careful with the choice of your words because I won't give a DAMN about putting a bullet in your fucking head next time"

He growled with clenched jaw. Emily lowered her eyes in shame.

Xavier then shifted his eyes towards Antonio who was looking him with a proud smile. Antonio then pressed the buttons of the lift. The elevator opened. Xavier was about to enter the elevator but before that he stopped near him making him frown. Xavier inched closer to his ears and whispered in a deadly tone.

"I usually don't give a fuck about anything but I do mind things that concerns my Rose. I hope you understand now because I won't mind giving you a trailer of the scene that happened an hour before again. Am I clear?"

Xavier seethed as he shot a death glare to Antonio. Antonio gulped in fear. He then lowered his head and meekly nodded. Xavier shot him a glare and with that he entered the elevator with his beauty who was sleeping peacefully in his arms.

Jennifer and Emily kept staring at the metallic door dumbly. Antonio looked up. His lips automatically curved up into a bright smile as he recalled the incident that happened an hour ago in the warehouse.

~Flashback

An hour before

As soon as Xavier left Rosaline, he immediately made his way to his warehouse. He was riding his shiny matte black Lamborghini Aventador at an insane speed. His jaw was clenched and his grip on the steering wheel was so tight that his knuckles turned white. His eyes were blood-red and his face was cold.

After 10 minutes of rash driving, the car stopped with a screeching sound. Xavier slammed the doors of his car loudly and marched inside the warehouse with heavy steps. His guards bowed at him respectfully but his gaze was fixed on only one person.

Xavier unbuttoned his coat and removed it. A man dressed in black suit came forward and took his coat. Xavier then loosened up his tie and uncuffed his sleeves. He folded up his sleeves to his elbows, the veins on his arms were popping out as he stared at the unconscious man with murderous eyes. The walls of the abandoned building vibrated as his Gucci shoes hit the concrete floor with a thud as he made his way to the unconscious man who was tied up on the chair.

Soon squeaking of shoes and murmurs echoed in the dark, fetid room as the members of The Scorpions entered.

"Xavier?"

Elijah whispered as he looked at Xavier in shock. The warehouse was approximately 40 miles away from the office which clearly explains how maniacally he had driven the car.

"XAVIER? ARE YOU INSANE? DO YOU WANNA GET YOURSELF KILLED? WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS STUPIDITY?"

Sebastian hollered at him as he was furious with his carelessness. But Xavier seemed unbothered as he took out his Titanium Gold Desert Eagle that was tucked in his waist. He unloaded the gun and threw all the bullets away except one. He loaded the gun again and cocked it while staring at the bloodied man in front of him with dead eyes.

"Xavier, are you sure Henry was sent by Vincent?"

Noah asked him while approaching an unconscious Henry who looked almost dead as he was brutally injured. Xavier tore his gaze away from Henry and looked at him.

"Do I ever joke?"

He smirked. Noah scoffed at his words. Xavier then shifted his gaze towards Antonio. Antonio nodded and gestured to one of their men to hand a file to Noah. The guard instantly gave him a black file. Noah opened it and started reading while Antonio started explaining the others the whole situation.

"Henry is one of Vincent's most trusted man. He was hired by Vincent so as to keep an eye on Rosaline all the time and protect her. Rosaline didn't know about this as she didn't want any CIA's bodyguards around her so that's why Henry kept his identity as a secret. Vincent was scared for her that's why he always kept Henry close to her which also explains why he accompanied Rosa along in London business trip"

Everyone except Xavier and Antonio became shocked by his words.

Xavier raised an eyebrow and looked at Antonio. Antonio frowned when he saw his red eyes glaring him. He awkwardly smiled.

"Sorry Rosaline, her name is too long so I thought to give her a nickname. It will be easier for me too. I hope you don't mind"

He chuckled while scratching the back of his neck nervously. Noah rolled his eyes in annoyance.

"Damn, I thought that we are hurting an innocent guy"

Sebastian mumbled while rubbing his temples in frustration.

"You know I never kill any innocent. Everyone whomever I had killed till now had died for a reason and you all are well aware of that"

Antonio nodded.

"That means my suspicion about this bastard was right. I must say his acting skills sucks as he was trying so hard to pretend that he doesn't knew any of us but he recognised Noah the moment he entered the conference room, his face turned pale"

Elijah snickered while glaring Henry.

All of a sudden Xavier dropped his gun down and moved back. They all looked at him confused.

"What are you doing Xavier?"

Noah frowned but Xavier looked at him with a blank face.

"Shoot him"

Noah looked at him in surprise.

"But isn't he your target?"

He furrowed his eyebrows. Everyone in the room was bewildered by Xavier's weird behaviour. They all were well aware that he never leaves his target alive and that too who is concerned with his Rosebud. Xavier always makes sure to give them the most painful death and that too with his own hands. But this was the first time that he was asking someone else to kill his prey.

No one could ever understand this deranged man not even his own gang members but still they didn't dare to defy or question his orders as they had sworn eternal fealty to their commander.

Noah nodded and took out his 9mm and without thinking twice shot Henry on his forehead. He instantly died on the spot while his blood got splattered all over the floor. Everyone looked contended but Antonio was still dubious with Xavier's sudden demeanour.

"Alright we shall leave now"

They all nodded. Xavier rolled his sleeves back and cuffed them. He then wore his black coat and they all started heading outside.

*Bang*

"AHH"

Noah screamed in pain as all of a sudden, a bullet he felt an excruciating pain on his right arm. Blood started oozing from his arm.

He was shot.

Noah pressed his left palm on his bleeding wound and turned back.

Xavier blew off the smoke emerging through his muzzle. Noah clenched his jaw. His face turned red in anger. He glared him and shouted at him furiously.

"WHAT THE HELL XAVIER? WHY DID YOU SHOT ME?"

Sebastian and others also looked at Xavier in shock. Xavier then shifted his gaze towards Noah and spoke in a deep husky voice.

"Because you touched what's mine"

And with that be walked away leaving everyone stunned and confused.
