The Truth is Out

"I don't understand how Rosaline can just go on missing this way? We can't trace her anywhere", Sebastian huffed as he combed his hair with his fingers in frustration.

The Scorpions were presently at the backside of the hotel. The party was still going on and Mr. Ivanov was busy in entertaining the guests. Sebastian and Elijah were trying their best to hack the CCTV of the hotel as they didn't want Mr. Ivanov to know about this. It was Noah's order. Already the situation was too critical and informing Mr. Ivanov would not only make things more complicated but also can endanger Rosaline's life. She was nowhere to be found and they still haven't tracked her down. If she was really in a grave danger then they need to watch their steps and handle things cleverly.

Emily advised Noah to appoint a team who will be looking for Rosaline. Noah deployed his best men to carry out this search operation. He was in a separate room along with Jennifer and Emily to keep a tight rein on the current situation.

Sophia was sleeping on the couch as she had passed out due to drinking too much. Katherine was sitting beside Sophia with her elbows resting on her knees. Her eyes were closed as she deliberately acted to be asleep. Hearing their worried voices and failed efforts was exhilarating her but she kept calm so that they do not become suspicious of her.

"We aren't able to track down her phone as well. But the point is Antonio that you told us that Rosaline went in the direction of restroom, right? But Mr. Ethan, one of Ivanov's friend told me that the last he saw Rosaline was at the bar. Is it possible that she was looking for Xavier?", Elijah said while looking at Xavier who was standing near the window with crossed arms. His face held an unfathomable expression and his gaze was icy cold as he stared at nothing.

As soon as Xavier came to know about Rosaline's sudden disappearance, he went numb. His posture was frigid and he was standing on the same position for the past one hour like a mannequin. His silence was killing everyone as they all knew that although he looked calm but he was silently assaying the situation before taking an action.

Antonio was quiet. He was well aware that he had fucked up too bad. Rosaline was with him the whole time so he was completely at fault. Thus, he couldn't get the courage to face Xavier and was sitting idly with sealed lips.

Antonio looked at Xavier only to get startled as his red-rimmed eyes was already fixed on his panic-stricken and guilty face. He took a deep sigh and turned towards him.

"Xavier, I- look I am sorry man but-"

"Where's Rose?"

His words shook him. Not only Antonio but everyone looked at Xavier in surprise. He looked mad. Sheer anger surged through his whole body as he bored holes in Antonio's pale face.

"Xavier, I-"

"Answer me Katherine"

Katherine was startled. Her head immediately shot up as she looked at Xavier with horror filled eyes.

"W-What? Xavier how would I know where's Rosaline?", she chuckled nervously. Antonio frowned.

"Rosaline was with me Xavier. Why are you asking her?", he asked him but Xavier completely ignored him. He started walking towards Katherine, his dark eyes never left her trembling ones.

"Where's Rose?", he again asked her as he strode towards her with deadly steps. Katherine stood up from the couch. She was shaking badly. She looked at Xavier and immediately shook her head in denial.

"I-I don't know X-Xav-"

"Where's Rose?", he cut again her in between and growled furiously. His raging eyes were enough to froze anyone's blood. Katherine raised her right hand in front of him to stop him but was he gonna stop?

"Listen to me Xavier, I don't-"

"Where's Rose?", he kept asking her maniacally. Elijah scowled but kept his mouth closed. Xavier wasn't giving Katherine a chance to explain herself as if he knew she was behind all this.

"Xavier what are you doing?", Sebastian looked at him with wide eyes when Xavier took out his Titanium Desert Gold Eagle which was tucked in his pants and aimed at Katherine. She started shaking her head frantically.

"I DON'T KNOW-"

'BANG!'

A shrilled scream left her mouth as Xavier shot right beside her left ear making her heart jump.

"Where's Rose?", he kept asking her in a monotone like a lunatic. Sebastian tried to go near them but he was pulled back by Elijah. He turned back and looked at him. Elijah gestured him to stop with his eyes.

Xavier kept advancing towards Katherine who kept walking backwards with staggering steps. She was going out of her mind. She had planned everything too well but she never knew that Xavier will catch her.

Suddenly an idea popped in her mind. Maybe he was just making a wild guess so as to elicit the truth. She took a deep breath and mustered up the courage to look in Xavier's red eyes.

"Xavier, listen. I have nothing to with-"

'BANG'

Xavier shot another bullet just beside her head making her flinch. Katherine turned furious. She glared him and took out her gun as well.

"KATHERINE!!", Antonio yelled when he saw she was about to aim her gun at Xavier. But Xavier was fast enough as he immediately shot her hand which was holding the gun.

"AHHH!!!"

Katherine screamed in pain and grabbed her injured hand.

"Xavier I really don't kno-"

'BANG'

"Where's Rose?"

"FUCKING LISTEN TO ME!!"

"Where's Rose?"

"I DON'T KNOW!!"

"STOP!!!"

Xavier kept shooting bullets beside her shivering figure. His sharp bullets drew an outline of her body on the wall but Katherine still didn't budge. She kept denying and tried to feed him lies. Xavier had enough of her tantrums now.

"YOU PSYCHO!! I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR WIFE DAMMIT-AHHHHHHH!!!!"

Katherine screamed and fell on the floor as Xavier shot her right shoulder this time.

"PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!!", she cried in pain. Antonio rushed towards Xavier who aimed his gun at her crown.

"You're wasting my time.", he seethed while glaring at the crying girl who was whimpering in pain. Antonio grabbed his shoulders.

"Xavier, we won't find Rosaline this way. You need to stay calm. It won't help-", But before he could complete Xavier welted his fists on his face making him stumble backwards. Antonio looked at him in shock.

Xavier's face had turned red in anger. His jaw was clenched tightly and his appearance turned ghastly. Red teary eyes, dishevelled hair, veins bulging and a dour face. He wasn't wearing his coat. The first top buttons of his shirt were undone while his tie was loosely hanging around his neck. Xavier took deep breaths which were enough to show how much he was angry.

Antonio gulped in fear, his throat turned parched when Xavier shot him a death glare. He immediately sealed his lips in a thin line and averted his gaze down. Xavier then turned his neck towards Katherine who was drenched in her own blood and was bawling her eyes out.

He crouched down to her level. Katherine flinched hard when he grabbed her face and harshly and squeezed her cheeks. Her lips puckered out due to the brutal force but her eyes turned to the size of saucers when Xavier started caressing her lips with the burning tip of his gun.

"Tell me where is Rose?", his question was again the same but his words sounded as a deadly last warning. Katherine understood that she can't hide it anymore now. Xavier will definitely kill her for sure. She screamed when Xavier forcefully pushed the gun in her mouth and clenched his teeth.

"Will you answer me now?", he gnashed. Katherine immediately bobbed her head in affirmation. He took his gun out from her mouth. Happy tears rolled down her cheeks as she replied in a shaking voice.

"A-Ashton F-Finn. He has her. She is in the b-basement with him."

Sebastian and Elijah looked at her stunned while Antonio turned furious with her reply.

"YOU? HOW COULD YOU? YOU GOT THE AUDACITY TO PLAY WITH ROSALINE'S LIFE?", Antonio grimaced at her. Katherine looked down in shame.

"I-I am sorry. I was the one who gave her to Ashton Finn. She is locked with him in one of the rooms of the basement. He had vowed to kill her tonight.", she confessed.

Sebastian glared her in anger. He was about to lash out on her when Xavier immediately pushed her on the floor and stood up. He quickly ran towards the door and grabbed the door knob.

"Xavier wait for us. You can't fight him alone. You'll need-"

" I don't need anyone's help to save my Rosebud."

He harshly cut him off and instantly left the room as he headed to save Rosaline.
