"That makes sense! They would've already left if there was nothing inside!" Qie Loulan nodded and said eagerly, "Let's go find out while the Xiuhcoatl King is busy! We will be in grave danger if it comes back here!"
"Wait!" Chen Xiaobei said as he took out an intricate wooden box from the Infinite Space Ring.
"Bro Bei, what is that?" Qie Loulan asked.
"This is No.8 Luban!"
Chen Xiaobei held the wooden box and tried to build a Spiritual Connect with it to learn the way to use it.

[No.8 Luban: Master Luban's latest design. It receives instructions telepathically and can transmit information to its master's mind. If used with Spiritual Qi, it could mimic its owner's face. Do you wish to withdraw it?]
"No.9 Luban! Transform!"
Chen Xiaobei tossed the box into the air.
Creak! Creak! Creak!
Compartments appeared all over the box. Then they all started to reconstruct itself, like the robots in Transformers, into a wooden figure that stood five meters tall with a head like a mushroom. It had no neck, with long hands and stubby legs. It was strange looking.
"What! Why is this No.8 Luban so ugly?" Qie Loulan commented.
"I think so too…" Chen Xiaobei was just as unimpressed, suddenly thinking of the line from No.7 Luban in game.
[Master Luban has an IQ of 250…]
It seems like after all Master Luban's intelligence was not as reliable.
With just a little bit more effort, this wooden robot could have been more well-built. So, why not?
"Ah, whatever. How it looks doesn't matter. I only need it to be our sentinel. We'll see how well it works."
Chen Xiaobei then began to test controlling it. To do that, he used the knowledge that he acquired from Spiritual Connection which he had already memorized. He only needed to think about it and No.8 Luban would do as it was told like a remote-controlled toy.
No remotes needed. It was all done telepathically.
This wooden figure moved like it was part of Chen Xiaobei, straightforward and lively.
"Aw! This thing might be ugly but it's quite amazing!"
Qie Loulan looked at it with interest.
"Other than being mobile, it could also transmit what it sees and hears…"
Chen Xiaobei closed his eyes and instructed No.8 Luban to climb to the top of the hill.
No.8 Luban could see what was happening in the distance and everything he was seeing was transmitted to Chen Xiaobei's mind.
"I see it! The Xiuhcoatl King had Phantom Rain and the others surrounded! I have enough time to go in and take a look!" Chen Xiaobei smiled confidently, "Let's go, now!"
With No.8 Luban stand guarding, Chen Xiaobei would be aware of what was happening outside. He would be ready should the Xiuhcoatl returned!
Both human and spirit walked deep into the cave. The further they go, the more frightening their environment. The hill was riddled with holes like an ant hill, almost completely hollowed out.
The numerous holes were interconnected.
It appeared that all the Xiuhcoatls lived inside them.
This observation further confirmed Chen Xiaobei's suspicion.
There must be something very valuable inside. Why else would these Xiuhcoatls stay here, away from the rest of the world?
The inside of the mountain was like a maze but Chen Xiaobei and Qie Loulan would never get lost.
They only need to follow the largest hole and they would be able to reach their destination.
If there was something so paramount, no one else but the king would be able to go near it.
They would be in the right direction as long as they followed the hole that the Xiuhcoatl King made.
Half way in, the both of them stopped in their tracks.
Before their eyes was a vast space. They could roughly make out that the sawdust on the ground, and the incinerated metal.
"This must be your treasury, right?" Chen Xiaobei asked.
"Yes…" Qie Loulan nodded and said, "That melted metal was the door… and the sawdust belonged to the wooden shelves I used to put my resources… It looks like there's nothing left here…"
Qie Loulan's face fell.
All the treasure he had worked so hard to accumulate was cleaned out just like that.
The more he thought about it the more despondent he felt.
"Something tells me that…" Chen Xiaobei said, "The thing hidden in the deepest part of the cave is far more valuable than this treasury!"
"How is that even possible…" Qie Loulan raised his brow and said, "Other than the 10,000 Spiritual Stones, there were also a number of Spiritual Items, and a few rare medicines! How could one thing be more valuable than everything I had combined?"
"The Xiuhcoatl King's hole goes deeper still. This is now a passage only." Chen Xiaobei said, "It is pretty obvious that the Xiuhcoatl King placed more importance on the depth of this cave than the treasury itself!"
"That makes sense…" Qie Loulan nodded and said impatiently, "Let's go then! I can't wait to see what is in there!"
"There's no need to rush. Let's look around this area first!" Chen Xiaobei said, "The blueprint for the dimension that you mentioned earlier might still be here! The Xiuhcotal King may know the uses of the Spiritual Stones, Spiritual Item, and Spiritual Medicines but it definitely can't read the blueprint!"
"Alright! I remember where I put! Bro Bei, follow me!"
Qie Loulan went to one side of the cave.
There was a lot of broken stones and sawdust.
Chen Xiaobei walked over and kicked away the fragments with his shoe. Soon, they found something.
"Bro Bei! That's a piece of black beast skin! Pick it up!" Qie Loulan pointed at the things amongst the rubble.
Chen Xiaobei bent down and picked up a black beast skin. On it was a very complicated drawing of a map in gold ink. Each symbol was more complicated than the ones Chen Xiaobei had seen before this.
One could see that it was extremely difficult to build an independent dimension.
"Alright! Let's go deeper in!"
Chen Xiaobei wasted no time. He pocketed the blueprint and together with Qie Loulan, walked deeper into the cave.
