JADE:
“Then, what is it Jade? Why do you keep him close by? Why can’t you tell him off when he is clearly crossing the line?”
Liam said it so bitterly that I could almost taste the hurt he felt with every word.
“Hey, hey you two,” the guard assisting Liam intervened. “Quit arguing or you’re both going to get it worst.”
For the rest of our walk to the infirmary, Liam and I did not say even a single thing.
Liam was right. Why can’t I just tell Kix firmly away? Why do I still keep him by my side?...
The answer was so hard to hear… I could hear it ringing in my own heart, but I don’t want to recognize it… I just don’t…
Finally, we reached the infirmary. The security guard eased Liam down on one of the emergency beds.
“The nurse is on lunch break, so stay with your boyfriend until then,” he told me as if he already knew the story of my life.
Well, seeing how big the fistfight had been earlier, I’m sure the whole school would be able to know who we are now…
I went silently to the first aid box placed at the nurse’s table and proceeded to get the supplies needed to treat Liam’s wounds. When I returned, I quickly dabbed the iodine solution over Liam’s bloodless cuts.
After sometime, Liam held my hand to stop me.
“Why did you do it, Jade? Why did you lie to me?”
“I… I didn’t mean to lie to you,” I said quietly.
“You said you’d stop pursuing Marian’s case, right? You definitely made a promise…”
“Yes… I’m sorry for that… It’s just that I feel sorry for Marian. I also made a promise to her…”
“You did, but Marian’ dead. She’s already dead. Would that promise still matter?”
“Of course,” I said, anger rising up at the pit of my stomach. “Just because she’s no longer with us doesn’t mean I should discard my promise and go back to my words. She died an unfair death, Liam. Wouldn’t that be enough of a reason to help her?”
“To the point that you’re going to use your own life as collateral, huh, Jade? If that guy was really the killer, what would you do? If he killed you, who would avenge you, huh?”
“How about me? Does it not matter that you made a promise to me to? Do I have no place in your heart,” he continued.
A tear began to fall down from Liam’s lovely eyes. Despite my sudden outburst, his tear stirred the depths of my soul.
“N-No… Of course not,” I explained, cupping Liam’s face in the process. “You are the most important person in my life right now...”
“Am I? ‘Cause it doesn’t feel like it! It feels like I’m always just the second or third to the list of your priorities. Do you even love me?”
“I love you… I love you, Liam. Why else would I agree to be your girlfriend if I don’t,” I said, dabbing the tears away from his eyes with my fingers. “Liam Cruz, you are my boyfriend, and I am your girlfriend… I love you…”
“Then keep your promise to me. Don’t put yourself deliberately in harm’s way. Don’t you know how it feels like every time I don’t see you? And to think that someone else would take you away?… This makes me feel all torn up inside, Jade!…”
I understood Liam’s pleas… I was really in the wrong…
“I’m sorry… Forgive me,” I said as I enveloped my hands around Liam’s neck.
I was only thinking of my own curiosity… I didn’t know Liam cared for me far deeply than I even cared for myself…
“And about Kix… Can’t you do something about him? He just keeps hovering around you like he owns you… I know that the two of you have a history together. I am not blind to the fact that he still loves you deeply, Jade… But I am not going to just stand around and watch you get taken over by that wolf… I won’t allow it.”
I flinched when he said the word ‘wolf.’ Did Liam begin to notice Kix’s real identity?...
“His schemes to get you back are so old school, so don’t fall for it… I won’t share you with anyone. You are mine and mine alone,” he whispered.
Suddenly, Liam wounded his arms around my waist. He leaned closer towards me until our lips had inevitably touched each other.
My mouth trembled as I kissed Liam. I was afraid I was hurting his punched mouth, but maybe that wasn’t the case. He pressed his hungry mouth against me more fiercely.
“You all mine,” Liam mumbled softly as he kissed me again, this time his hands were travelling to my whole back.
I reciprocated his touches. My hands began snaking around his soft and fragrant locks.
Without warning, I felt Liam’s hands underneath my top. They were working their way into the mounds of my chest.
“Uh… Liam… Please…”
I was horrified. We were at the infirmary, for goodness sake!
“Jade,” his face looked flushed. I knew my own face must have already turned into a deep shade of red. Liam’s hands continued to brush towards my laced brassiere.
“No… We’re in the infirmary…”
“Just this once, Jade… Just this once…”
He pressed his mouth against my lips to stifle my protests while the fingers of his left hand slipped inside the folds of my bra.
This was too dangerous! I wanted to scream, but I can’t.
His fingers brushed into the most sensitive part of my chest. I let out a gasp as she played around with it using his deft fingers.
His whole palm was now inside the right folds of my underwear, fingering the roundness of my chest while his thumb still continued to caress its aroused area in a circular motion.
“Jade,” Liam said in an almost hypnotic manner. I was struggling not to scream with his stimulating actions.
My body was reacting all on its own. It was arching forward to him. I was twitching involuntarily with his caress.
Meanwhile, Liam’s other hand slipped through my back into my skirt. It was making its way into my left buttocks.
Was this really happening between Liam and I? Were we really doing this in the school infirmary?
Was Liam going to be the one to take my chastity away?...
