Everyone claps and cheers. I give a soft smile around the field, seeing all the other smiling faces towards me. Pride swells in me as they are happy I won the challenge.
When we got here and Zane told everyone what she had said it was like a dark cloud covered over the area with the sounds everyone gave with the words spoken. Even the few that were standing with Calin moved away from her and growled with fierce looks in their eyes at her.
Really even if she had won, they wouldn't be happy. A happy pack is the only way to have it because I believe they would have found a way to get rid of her if she had won.
"This is why I won, Calin. The anger from what you said about this amazing pack, fueled me to win. No Luna would ever say something like that to the pack they want to be over." I move to say to Calin.
Having spoke my peace about it further calmed me and I started to walk my way to Zane. Wanting his touch more than anything right now.
Gasps can be heard from around me and I turn my head just in time to see Calin's teeth almost at my neck. I side step and pull my arm back. Throwing a harder punch than I done eariler to her, I hit right on her shoulder. Knocking her back down to the ground.
I dive and grab her front paws with one hand and wrapping my free hand around her throat.
I catch sight of Zane running the last several steps up to us, where I hold her down once more. Her hind legs kicking and trying to claw me with the nails there. I move my body out of reach from her hind legs.
Others run over and one of the women that Calin had standing by her before the fight started grabs her hind legs. With several others piling over her torso to hold her down further.
"Calin. You just earned yourself banishment from this pack." Zane's voice is deadly.
Never have I heard him speak with so much power and his aura is free flowing. The wolves around me bare their necks and I fight not to myself with the power radiating off of him.
A small whimper comes from Calin.
"You done this to yourself. The challenge was over with Keava being the rightful winner. She is the rightful Luna and won against the challenge you presented with ease. Beating the strongest she-wolf that is on pack lands." Zane looks to her with hate in his eyes, but without growling.
His eyes have taken a darker color of that I would assume is his wolf.
"Calin, you will no longer be a member of the Dirt Mountain pack. For this moment on you will be a rogue. If you think to come back on this land after being escorted off then you will be placed within the cells as the pack agrees to a sentencing which will be death."
A almost like painful howl comes from Calin. Everyone around us gets a relieved look on their face.
"Her bond is broken from the pack." Conan growls.
"Good. I need several warriors to assist me in getting this rogue off our lands." Zane states.
Warriors come over as everyone moves off of her and I keep hold until they have her in their grasps.
I stand back up and Jasel moves to be next to me. Conan stands with hold his hand on the back of Calin's neck with her on her own paws. The warrior have firm grips over her body and if she was to try and ward them off it would rip her own hide off herself.
"You and You." Zane points to the ones that stood with her before finding out what she said.
They bow their heads to him.
"Are you friends with this rogue?" He growls.
"No, Alpha. Not after hearing what she said about our pack and we were unaware she was going to challenge our Luna." They state together.
"Very well then. You both get the job of cleaning out her room within the packhouse. If no one wishes to have what is that of this rogue. Burn it." Zane states.
Both of them bow and walk off to the house.
Zane looks at me and gets a soften look. "I will be back once this rogue is out of pack lands."
I nod, watching as Zane and Conan walk off with Calin and the warriors.
"Let's get this arm cleaned." Jasel takes my arm in her hands.
"It will heal." I sigh.
"Well it is more like getting the germs of that bitch off you." Jasel laughs lightly.
Everyone watches and bares their neck towards me as we walk past them.
Right before we get to the pack house, I look back and they are slowly dispersing back to whatever they may have been doing in preparations for tomorrow before the challenge.
"They see you as their Luna and was showing their respect." Jasel smiles.
"I was a little curious on that. Part of me thought it was also for you being their Beta female."
"They were for it all because they know how we are all worked up over the challenge, but it was mainly for you." Jasel opens the door, guiding me inside.
Walking to the kitchen, Jasel pulls a chair out and makes me sit down. She pulls out a first aid kit from the cabinet.
"Oh these are all over the pack for quick basic first aid." She waves it slightly.
"That is smart." I nod and think it is a brilliant thing.
"Did Blaze teach all of that you done out there?" Jasel asks, pulling out some antiseptic solution.
"Yeah, he had said during my training I needed to learn both ways because blades can be knocked out of my hands." I laugh lightly.
"He is right. You know Zane did give him permission to come on pack lands whenever he felt like it, with him being my brother."
"Why won't he? I never got why he chooses to live off in the wild by himself." I watch her.
"Blaze and I didn't have the best life growing up. I used to live with him but felt the pull to travel here and that is because Conan is my mate. The scares under Blaze's arm and then under his eye was made by our father. This on me was made by him." Jasel puts the swab down and raises up her shirt some.
I see a long scar on her side.
"He would punish us as he called it if we didn't learn the spells quickly enough he would be teaching us. Our mother succombed to dark magic when I was a toddler. Blaze seen it and how it turned her into something hideous. That is why Blaze has such hate for witches practicing it. When Blaze and I got old enough we ended up killing both of our parents because our father went the same way our mother had. One day our magic just bursted and they dropped dead."
I move and touch Jasel's arm. "I am so sorry."
"I'm not and neither is Blaze. It taught us what not to become. I would have been like my brother if not have felt the pull of the mate bond to come here. Sometimes being away from others is the best thing." Jasel shrugs and smiles lightly.
"Okay, you are all cleaned up there. You do need to feed to heal this faster."
I shake my head. "No thank you. It will heal before tomorrow night still."
Jasel sighs and moves my dress box over.
"Get some rest then, please. I will see you at dinner tonight and then tomorrow we will start to get dressed and ready about mid-evening."
I smile and hug her tight. "Thank you."
Taking the box, I walk to the Alpha wing and go in the room.
