A piece of my mind
(Brianna’s POV)
This people treat me like I’m some sort of leper and I am pretty sure that the reason they are doing this is because they are both filthy rich—tsk, stupid rich entitled people! Right from the very beginning, I have never liked them especially Phoenix. I know that she may not remember me but I remember her very well. Attending the same high school and university together made me understand the kind of person she was and that her so called Nigerian best friend whom she regarded more than everyone else; ignoring the existence of the rest of us.I hated her! All the boys in high school and some guys in the university almost fought each other just to get her but she didn’t even give them the attention they so craved and what’s worse, she never touched any of them—not even a handshake. It felt as if she was repulsed by them.My plans of having my revenge on her finally showed up when a-so-not-mutual friend, Lisa Myers brought up her case in one of our usual outings and I was pleased. I was so glad when Lisa Myers brought up the idea of ruining her relationship with Sterling. I mean, she can’t be Miss goody-two-shoes all the time and so I decided to fake the pregnancy and storm Sterling’s house with falsified evidence.Well, now, with the heat rising right now in the house and them planning to haul me away from here even before the plan works, I will have to up my game and not give into their mind games. But before that, I will give them a piece of my mind and rain fire and brimstone.I know where they went to and I’m going to make sure that I am not the only one that has a bad night today. I walked to the room they both shared and knocked on the door and not long after that, I heard Sterling’s voice.“Who is it?”“It’s Brianna and I think it’s high time we had a little chat,”“There is nothing to talk about. I’d like you to leave right now; don’t push your luck,”“There will be no need for that,”I turn to leave but then, I remember that I came to this door with an intention and I must achieve it. Without knocking and hoping that the door is open, I push it hard and I stumble in--- whew, the door wasn’t locked and that is when I heard a soft voice which can only be Phoenix’s voice let out a little gasp, followed by Sterling laying out a string of cuss words.“What the hell… Get the hell out of here. I promise you, you will regret doing that”“Oh please, Sterling, quit whining and laying out cuss words; that’s beneath you,” I said, sizing him up from head to toe and them casting a side glance at Phoenix for a brief second before looking back at Sterling and waiting to hear his next words.“How dare you barge in here, uninvited?”“Oh well, it’s not my fault that you don’t lock your doors whenever you’re in the bedroom. For a man so highly protected, you are so gullible thinking that absolutely nothing can happen to you while at home,” I said, with a high pitch voice while staring at him, unwavering.“Is that a threat?” Sterling said, raising his voice slightly and looking at me intently.“Oh no, It is not. I could never threaten the great Sterling Tyrell. It is just a friendly advice to be careful because anything can happen at any time and I tell you, it is good to be cautious. Now, that aside, you and Phoenix have said your piece, now I think it’s time for you to hear what I have to say,”“But this is…” Phoenix tried to say something but I shut her up immediately.“Shhh, I don’t think you’re welcomed into this conversation but if your input is needed, I’ll let you know,” yikes, I think I went too far there but who cares.“Oh, hell no; You don’t barge into my room and bark orders at me, young woman; you’ve got to learn you manners if you don’t have one and besides, you have absolutely nothing to say to either of us,” Phoenix spews all she can but damn, this girl does seem strange and she might be that dangerous—after all, it’s been years I last saw her.“I will not have you talk to her like that while I am here, not now and definitely not ever. Now, say whatever it is you have to say and say it quickly,” Sterling said. Tsks, trying to blow me off easily, are you Sterling?“Well, I have decided that I won’t leave this house for both of you while I live somewhere else, suffering with your child. I know that you both plan to get rid of me as soon as possible but you guys are both evil if your plan is to make me go insane before giving birth to this child. And don’t forget that this child belongs to you too,” I said, facing both of them.“It is better if you live somewhere else and that is obviously not up for arguments; now leave,”“You know, she’s the one to leave because all she does is claim that she loves you without any tangible proof,”“And you love me because you think that I’m the father of the child that you are carrying, is that it?”“Yeah, it is and I won’t leave this house for whatever reason. I’ll stay here until I give birth and until then,” I turn and face Phoenix squarely “I guess you’ll have me to contend with,” I finished speaking, looked them in the eyes, walk out and head straight to the kitchen to get a bottle of water from the fridge to calm my raging nerves only to find Denzel and some strange lady making out by the kitchen isle.“My goodness, take your sorry asses out of here and find somewhere else to do your crazy activities” I am pretty sure that I had a look of disgust on my face and they could see it clearly and Denzel seems to be pretty pissed at me but who cares because I know that he is about to say something.“What the hell did you just say and who in God’s name gave you the right to make demands here? Remember, you are clearly not welcomed here and your seconds and minutes here are numbered,” he said while the lady besides him just stared at me strangely and I found it weird but before I could respond to Denzel, she beat me to it.“Brianna, I suggest you stop whatever games you are trying to play here. I’d only warn you because you are clearly dancing into fire. We both know that you are lying and I’m just waiting for the moment that all your evil deeds catches up with you,” the strange lady says but I am too far gone in this to heed to her advice. All I do is stare back at her intently before walking out on both of them after getting my water and walk back to my room but a few steps away from them, I remember something; then I turn back and face Denzel.“Where is my phone and when am I getting it?” I asked Denzel.“You’ll get it when it’s time,” I knew I wasn’t going to get the phone from him right there and then, so I had to leave but halfway up the stairs, I turned back and saw him on the phone, talking to someone while the lady he was with stared at me until I felt uncomfortable and hurriedly went to my room and locked the door.(Denzel’s POV)I knew that this girl was trouble the minute I was told about her but to showcase herself and her attitude within a short time frame? She definitely needed an award for that—what insolence and audacity.Immediately I saw her leaving, I picked up my phone and called Sterling to know what steps to take next because I just couldn’t stand the thoughts of her unbearable presence in this house.“Hey man, are you really going to let her stay here?”“Hell no; I’m doing no such thing,”“Then what the hell is she still doing here?”“I’m making arrangements for her movement now; what about the apartment, is it taken care off?”“Yes, it is and we are just waiting for your orders,”“Okay, thanks man. Just let Rex know that I need to see him right now. Let him meet me in my study,” “Sure thing, man; I honestly can’t deal with her,”I hung up the call and immediately called Rex and thankfully, he picked up on the fourth ring.“Hello, Mr. Denzel,” Rex said“Rex, where were you and why didn’t you pick up your phone when it rang?”“I’m sorry boss but I was taking a piss,”“Jeez, you didn’t need to go into details,”“Uhh, sir but you asked?”“Anyway, forget about that, the big boss is calling you right now and he needs you to meet him in his study,”“Okay sir,”After speaking with Rex, I turned to Olivia and looked at her before pulling her in for a hug. It been weeks since we started dating officially and so far so good, she’s been my better half. Sniffing her hair and calming down, I muffled some words in her hair which she heard and responded to.“Hey babe, let’s get out of here because I certainly can’t deal with this madness this night—I am exhausted,” I told her, sighing heavily.“Okay, I’m down for that. I’m sure that the higher ups won’t be mad if we leave without telling them,” Olivia said, patting my back softly.“I’m sure they won’t,”“Okay then; I know just the thing to make your muscles less tensed,”“I can’t wait to experience it,”
