Chapter 41 14 Days

ANDREW'S POV.

*Flask back/ FB*

"Elle! Elle!"

"It hurts." She whispers.

"I know you just go to stay with me Elle? Elle!"

She closes her eyes and my heart sinks. I look to where she was pointing and there is blood everywhere. There is a blade stuck in her spine.

"Shit." I whisper. "Somebody help!"

"Andrew. Cristian is dead!"

What?

"Andrew. Cristian is dead!"

No.

*End of flash back*

Elle is being rushed into the pack's Emergency room. They said she needs surgery immediately but won't tell me anything else.

Her sister and I have been waiting outside for three hours and have not heard anything.

I can't concentrate, Damon can't feel or communicate with Eva anymore. Nothing.

I look at my hands covered in her blood. I keep remembering everything over and over.

*FB*

"Elle where are you? What's wrong?"

"Andrew I-" She stops and instantly knew something is wrong.

"Elle? Elle?" She won't answer. I can't feel her anymore.

No no no.

I sniff out for her scent and follow it. I see her laying limp on the ground. I immediately shift into human form and run to her.

"Elle! Elle!"

*End of FB*

I am dragged out of my thoughts when I hear someone addresses me. "Alpha."

I immediately stand up as I realized it was the nurse. "The Luna is now out of surgery." She pauses with hesitantly. "The blade she was injured with was covered in wolfsbane. Her blood reacted badly to it and it started spreading out in her body. We managed to get most of it out but there is a 43% chance she wakes up."

My heart stops as she continues. Hearing that there is a strong chance that she won't ever wake up burns my inside. I unconsciously take up one of the hospital chairs and throw it against the wall.

"Andrew!" I look at Anna with sadness all over her face. She looks so tired and her eyes puffy from all the crying.

I look back at the nurse and ask, "Can I see her?"

"Uh...Yes but only one person at a time. Don't try to move her in any sorts. She is healing but very slowly."

"Thank you so much." Anna thanks the nurse and looks at me.

"Go. I can go in after."

She smiles at me thankfully and I sit back down and wait, with my head in my hands.

*FB*

"I love you too."

"What?"

"You said you loved me and I didn't say it back. I love you."

It's all I wanted hear. It felt like it was a dream. She's in my arms, telling me she loves me. I wouldn't ask for anything better than this moment.

"I love you so fucking much." I start to shower her with kisses and her beautiful laugh is music to my ears.

*End of FB*

"Andrew."

I look up to see Anna and Aiden. "Sorry I took so long. You can go in now."

"Thank you."

I stand up ready to go to her room but Aiden stops me. "She'll make it."

"I know she will."

I walk into her room and see her one that bed. Her body is covered in bandages. I look at her beautiful face and immediately break down in tears. Seeing her like this, she looks....

No. No. If it wasn't for that beeping I would of completely given up on life. She's my life. I can't lose her, not today and not anytime soon.

I pull the seat in the corner closer to her bed and sit down and hold on to her hand.

"I'll be right here. Right here until you wake up."

* Day 3 *

"Honey."

My mom's voice woke me up. I look at her and she has the same face she's been looking at me for the past two days.

"Honey. You have to get something to eat."

"I'm not hungry."

"Have you eaten since you got back?" She took my silence as an answer. "Please eat something and take a shower."

"No mom. what if she-"

"I know. If there is anything different I will call you right away. Now please get something in your stomach."

I sigh tiredly. "Fine."

I leave the ER and went straight home. I didn't miss how everyone is gloomy and doesn't even want to look me in the eye.

I took a quick shower and made some grill cheese. I could only eat one slice so threw the other one out. I immediately rush back to the ER and straight to Elle's room.

I see someone standing by her bed and instantly realized it's Simon.

"What the fuck are you doing here?"

"I just wanted see her."

"Get the fuck out?"

"I'm so sorry-"

I walk up to him and punch him in the face. "Get the fuck out and stay the hell away from her!"

"What is going on in here?"

I turn around to see my mom at the door. "Did you let him in?"

"No. I just left for five minutes."

I look back at Simon. "You come near her again and I will do more than punch you. Now get out!"

Simon looks at Elle one more time before he walks out.

"Honey I'm so sorry. The nurses wanted some help with the other pack members and-"

I sigh and sit back down next to Elle. "It's fine mom."

"I-" She was about to say something but she stops. I hear her sigh and leave.

I close my eyes feeling drained and lean my head back to get more comfortable.

*FB*

After I finished talking to dad, I leave to get Elle from my room but she's not there. I look every where in the house and no sign of her and then one place clicks. I quickly run to her house and there she is.

"Elle" I said in relief.

She turns around and immediately starts talking. "I lied. They didn't take me in out of the kindness of their hearts. They took me in because of the connection we have" I came clean.

"Being a succubus?" Father is worried that's why they took her in and now she's here because she's helping them.

She looks at me caught by surprise. "How'd you know?"

"My dad told me after I saw you that night"

"Why didn't you say anything?"

I take a deep breath and walk closer to her. "The right time didn't come around I guess"

She looks into my eyes like she's searching for something but I don't mind it.

"Do you plan on leaving again or are you staying?" I couldn't keep myself from asking. I strangely don't want her to leave.

"I'm staying but I can't stay here" She looks around the house then walks upstairs. I follow behind her and she opens a door to a room.

I look inside the room to see it's hers. Her childhood and everything.

"These things belong to the old me and the old me is gone"

I look at her curiously wanting to know more "What was the old you?" I'm intrigued.

"Afraid, lonely, scared to face her fears..." She looks at me . "Heartbroken" I look down knowing she means me.. "And the stupid girl that played investigator trying to find her parents" She laughs.

"I don't want to be that girl anymore and sure as hell don't want to remember it" She walks away and walks down stairs.

Not able to control my mouth I say, "You can stay with me" I offer.

She shakes her head. "No, I don't want to be a burden"

"Trust me you're not. Please" I really want her to. To be closer to her. To know the new her.

She smiles and say, "Yes."

Her smile would always brighten my day.

* Day 6 *

"It turns out the red head was working with Alejandro. She would have married Cristian and hand the castle over to Alejandro. They beheaded her two days ago."

I still can't believe Cristian is gone. As much as I didn't like him I know he meant a lot Elle.

"How they find out? Did she come clean?"

"No... Simon told them."

Of course he did. I sigh, "Fine. When is the Ceremony?"

The ceremony is when we lose pack members in a war. The entire pack comes together to show their respects and appreciation.

If it was from natural causes their family would hold a small get together and they would say their goodbyes privately.

"At 8."

"Ok." I've got a few more hours to visit Elle before then.

I leave Chris in his office and head straight to Elle.

I am surprised when I see Emma in her room.

"Emma? What are you doing here?"

She looks at me frightened and immediately clears her throat. "Um I wanted to see her. If anything changed."

"No. Nothing has changed."

"Oh. Um ok. I have to go."

I watch as she leaves and it's clear that she cares about her. Never thought I'd say that.

I walk to the side of her bed.

"Hey baby." I sit down in the chair and hold her hand. I kiss her hand and start talking to her. "I miss you." I sniffle and laugh. "I know I say that every day but you got to come back. Open those beautiful brown eyes." I gently run my hand down her beautiful thick l black hair. "We all miss you. Me, your sister, mom and dad, Jessica and surprisingly Emma."

And I continued. This is how I cope. I talk to her, tell her how I feel, how everyone else is. Hoping that she'll hear my voice and wake up. The more days go by and really really deep down I feel more hopeless. So this is what I do. I can't magically bring her back and as much as I want to fucking rip Simon's face off I can't. Because it won't change anything and something is just holding me back.

After the ceremony I had to tell everyone about Elle's condition. While some had hope it immediately dimmed as I told them nothing has changed. It's not easy hearing that one of your leaders is in a coma and haven't showed any signs of recovery.

"Hey big bro." Jessica sits down beside me. I didn't answer her but she knows I'm listening. "You look terrible."

I laugh. "Thanks jess." I said sarcastically.

"She's going to be fine. Right?"

"I don't know."

She scoots over to me and throws her small arms around me. "Well she is. She'll be fine. And you shouldn't worry. She's a badass and she can make it through this."

I smile at her and she gets up. "Now don't tell anyone about this. I still hate you."

"Hate you too."

She leaves the living room and I go back up to my room. I take off my  shirt and pants and get under the covers. I fall asleep hugging Elle's pillow.

* Day 8 *

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.

That's all I hear when I wake up. Beeping sound going off rapidly.

Nurses start running in the room. I keep asking what's wrong but no one answers.

"You will have to leave the room."

"Can you at least tell me what's wrong."

"No. I sorry. Please leave."

I walk outside and she immediately close the door. Anna runs up to me with worry all over her face.

"What's wrong?"

"I don't know. They won't fucking tell me."

"Ok. S-she'll be fine." Anna starts to stutter nervously. She starts cracking her fingers and I instantly knew she wasn't ok.

I stop her and try to sooth her. "Hey. She'll be ok."

I keep saying that and hearing it but I don't even believe myself. I'm afraid if I don't say it then she won't wake up.

After an hour of agonizing pain in waiting the doors finally open. All of us, Anna, mom, dad, Jessica and Aiden are all here.

The doctor walks out with no sign of good or bad news. Just got me more anxious.

"The Luna's heart rate went up too high but we got it back under control. She is now stable but she is still in a coma. To be honest it doesn't look like she will be awake anytime soon"

After she finished told us about Elle's condition. Everyone left after checking up on her. I tried to keep it together for everyone, especially Anna. But I can't keep lying to myself and everyone.

*FB*

"Be careful."

"I will. You come back to me Elle Cooper."

"I promise I will."

*End of FB*

"You lied to me. You told me you we're coming back to me." I wipe the tears from my eyes. "You promised me Elle Cooper. You promised."

*Day 14*

"No vampires are allowed on the pack land. At least after Elle is awake." Daniel's been asking to see Elle but it's too soon for any of us to be around any vampire. I don't think the pack is ready for that.

"Ok. Andrew how much sleep have you gotten?" Chris asks.

"Enough."

"I really think you should get more sleep. You've been working a lot and when you're not working, you're with Elle."

"I will." I said harshly. I leave the pack house and go straight to Elle. I passed Anna on the way in and she didn't look that good. She tried to hide it with a smile but I know she isn't ok.

"Hey baby." I sit down and kiss her hand. "Seeing you always makes my day better." I pause and rest my head on her bed. "Fuck, I miss you. I miss falling asleep holding you in my arms. I miss seeing that beautiful smile of yours. And those eyes." I smile through my crying. "I want you to open those beautiful brown eyes. Please."

ELLE'S POV.

I sit on the ground holding my heading rocking back and forth as the voices keeps getting louder.

They keep asking the same question over and over and I only have the same answer.

"I don't, I don't, I don't." I repeatedly say while shaking my head.

I couldn't hold it in anymore. So I let it out. "AHHHHH!!"
