Chapter 69 Threats and promises
Chapter 69 Threats and promises
I slept really uncomfortable last night, partially because of the uncomfortable bed and stomach aches. I really didn't get much sleep last night and I spent the entire night worrying about what Nikolaos is going to do when I don't hand over my child over to him.
I still can't believe someone could be that heartless and insane to ask a woman to just give him her child. It also sickens me to even think of carrying his baby.
I have only just realized I have not heard anything from, Eva. She would most likely say something by now, especially when someone is threatening to take her pup.
"Eva?" I call for her once more but no answer, again. I can still sense her but she won't talk to me and that just caused a deeper frown on my face at the fact she is probably mad at me for leaving Andrew behind.
I hear footsteps coming my direction and I quickly sit up on the bed causing a squeaky sound. I eye the person wearily as he stops, staring at me. He begins to open the cell and I slowly stand up.
"What do you want?"
"Lord Nikolaos, has requested to see you." His voiced sounded so familiar yet hoarse, like he's dehydrated.
He holds his head down while waiting for me to get out of exit the cell. I slowly walk outside the cell trying to get a closer look at his face but it was hard with place being dim lit and my night vision isn't really helpful. It feels like I'm getting weaker.
He escorts me to large dining room where Nikolaos is waiting with his jackass smile. The man turns around to leave before I could get a second glance and I sigh turning back to Nikolaos.
I stare at me with a scowl of disgust and I could tell he doesn't like it.
"You should smile more. Please take a seat." I roll my eyes and take the furthest seat away from him.
Without permission Elizabeth took control.
ELIZABETH'S POV.
I cross my legs and stare him right in the face, trying to study how I could have ever have fallen in love with someone like this.
Was I that stupid?
I am very disappointed in myself.
"I missed you, Liza."
"Really? Cause all I want to do is kill you."
He smiles licking his lips. "You changed over the years. What happened to the Liza that I knew and loved?"
"You killed her." Literally. "Don't you remember?"
He avoids eye contact with me and shifts into his seat. "Shall we discuss our current situation?" He's avoiding now?
"You are the king." I smile sarcastically.
"I am offering a comfortable room for to stay in until the-"
'Pass." I didn't let him finish.
"Liza, this doesn't have to be temporary. You can stay here along with me and rule. You can still be the-"
"Pass."
"I will leave the werewolves alone if you just agree."
I sit up more in my chair and lean on the table. "And you seem to not understand I am going to keep passing up your offers. I do not want anything from you and you will not even be blessed with the sight of this child. I will end you and your entire species for good." I look him dead in the eye. "You messed with the wrong girl 200 years ago and you seemed to underestimate me. Sure I was blind then but not again, Nik. I will kill you and that's a promise."
He looks at me with mixed emotions. Surprise was there for a split second before a mix of anger and impressed.
"Now, I know damn well you didn't bring me out here to just talk. I'm hungry, get me something to eat." I demanded.
After looking at me as if studying me he finally moved his hand in a motion. A minute later a small woman walks out with a tray in her hands. She places different plates of food in front of me before rushing back to where ever she came from.
"Good service." I commented while taking up a apple slice and put it in my mouth. "Tell me, Lord Nikolaos, what was all that rogue stunt you pulled about?"
"Those were a warning and a message to The Royal Moon Pack."
"You ever heard of writing a letter?" He laughs and I drop the next slice in the bowl. "Stop bringing other people into your sick game, Nik!"
"Don't worry I have enough of them already." He smirks.
As he said that, Simon instantly came to mind. Remembering how he was so worried about this guy, Junior. It made me strangely sad for him, so I asked the question.
This does not mean I forgive him for what he did. Just to make that clear.
"Where is Junior?"
"The werewolf. I thought you or Elle would've recognized him, I guess I took a toll on him." I raise an eyebrow at him. "The nice gentleman who escorted you here."
I instantly look at the door way but he's not there. That was him? He looked terrible and unrecognizable.
"What did you to him?"
"Same thing I can do to anyone from that pack with just a snap of my fingers. If they are dead or alive." He adds.
"You sick bastard."
"You were once in love with this sick bastard."
"Don't remind me." I mutter before shoving a grape into my mouth.
"I really did miss you, Liza."
"Even after I tried killing but only ended up destroying half your castle?"
"We can forget the past."
I scoff standing up. As I walk towards him I knew he wasn't sorry about what he did to my family. He didn't apologize nor showed any remorse. He is heartless piece of shit.
I turn his chair around to face me while leaning on the handle of his chair. He looks at me intrigued and I sit on his lap.
"Do you want me to say I missed you too?" I ask with my face close to his.
"It would brighten my day." He smiled resting his head in the crease of neck. I place my hand on his chest and shove him back. In a quick motion he roughly locks both my hands behind my back, pulling me further onto his lap.
"Don't think you'll get around easy, Elizabeth. I am still the king around here."
I inch closer to his face. "You won't for long." I whisper before breaking my hands free and getting off his lap. "Now, where is this room you speak of? I need a shower and some fresh new clothes."
I can't be walking around like this.
He rolls his eyes before calling someone named, Francesca. "Please escort Miss Elizabeth, to her room." She bows before turning around and I follow behind.
"Not my room, Nik! A girl just needs a shower." I reminded him.
And that's what I did, a long ass one at that. They have surprisingly strong water pressure that I fell in love with in the span of 10 seconds.
ANDREW'S POV.
"But, you have to come back here. You nor I can take the risk of them getting their hands on your baby. Do you understand?" Lyra's voice lingered in my mind.
It scared me when Lyra told me to bring Elle right back to her. To think the demons would invade our home to take our child, but why should I be surprised. They took innocent people against their will to turn them into rapid dogs just to threaten us.
I just want to sink my teeth into every single one of them, ripping their heads off.
I chose not to question Lyra, because even though she keeps secrets, I also know she's doing this for the same reason we are and I trust she can keep us all safe.
"Drink these. They will help you find your way to the castle."
"Yeah, I still don't get how this works." Daniel looks at the green juice wearily almost gagging from the smell.
"It will lead to exactly where Elle is. Please be careful."
We trusted her words and drank it. Luckily after drinking the sewage water, it lead us to a huge building made of bricks. It looked to be half of a castle like she told us.
I guess this is...
