Chapter 73 Breakfast
Chapter 73 Breakfast
NIKOLAOS' POV
"They took the werewolf?!"
They all flinch at the sound of my voice. "Y-you told us not t-to lay a hand on them u-unless they go to the cells." He stuttered.
"They came for one thing, and that was the girl, not one of my men!"
"He wasn't that important anyway and I doubt they can cure him like they did the others." Adam stated.
"That werewolf is one of the oldest werewolf I have seen for over a century and he is really strong and could be used to my advantage, do not tell me he isn't important." I warned him. "And you might be right about them not being able to cure him but it doesn't make me feel any better that he isn't in my control."
"I understand, Sir, and we apologize."
I let a breath out while slumping back into my chair. "Where are they?"
"We followed them in the direction of the Red Fog mountain but for some reason we couldn't go further for some reason."
I furrow my eyebrow. "You can't. There is this spell barrier that keeps demons out from going onto the mountain. It was cast by a witch before she died centuries ago."
"Why haven't anyone heard of it?"
"Have you seen that mountain? No one in their right mind would step foot on that mountain without knowing what to expect." I pause suddenly as realization slaps me in the face. "What business do they have going up there?"
A weird feeling turns in my stomach as I put that witch and Liza together. She was the one that used to create the first succubus, which is Liza's mother.
"Lord Nikolaos?" Adam pulls me out of thoughts. "Is there something we should be worried about?"
I shake my head and say, "Not at all."
He nods. "Ok. What should we do now?"
"Keep a look out every single day by the base of that mountain. Do not attack anyone, just come back and tell who goes in and out."
"Most importantly, make sure not to be seen." I say my final warning.
Now, I will be trying to figure out why and how they got up there.
Before I forget, "And ensure he gets his daily dose." I reminded.
"Of course, Sir." They bow before leaving the room.
ELLE'S POV
"Wake up." A voice cooed in my hear. "Wake up." I scrunch my nose, covering my ears hoping they get the message to go away. "Bitch, wake up!"
I lift my head up off the pillow with my eyes still closed, frantically turning my head as I hum asking who is it.
"It's me dumbass." I then realized it was, Eva.
I sit up in the bed, rubbing my eyes. "Eva? This is unexpected for someone who doesn't answer when someone calls them."
"Well, I was mad at you."
"And you aren't now?"
"I got over it." I raise an eyebrow waiting for her to add something to it. "Plus, I didn't like not talking to you for so long." There it is.
"I know, Eva and I'm sorry but you know I had to at least try and find out what the demons wanted without getting anyone else getting hurt."
"I don't care. You could've gotten hurt and now their after my pup!"
"I'm sorry."
"That's all you do, apologize, and then you do the same thing over again. This was a mistake, just leave me alone."
"Eva-" She blocks me off before I could continue.
I frown, knowing she's right. I did put my unborn child in danger... and she still is, but I also stick to my promises. I can and will protect my child, maybe not in the way Eva approves of.
Not being able to fall asleep again, I might as well make breakfast until the others get back. They should be here soon.
Lyra's ceracee tea is the first thing I put on, guessing it won't be long until she wakes up. I begin to hum a little song my mom sang to me and Anna when we were young as I got all the pans I needed.
Getting carried away I made blue berry pancakes with eggs, French toast with avocado, oat meal with blueberry toppings and at some point I started making blueberry muffins.
I know, I got carried away with the blueberries but there is just so much of it.
After setting the table and placing everyone's plate at a respectable seat. I stand there looking at my work in awe, and all I want to do is ravish all of this in one minute.
"What's this?" A sleepy Simon walks in scratching his head.
"Good morning, and breakfast is served." I said with a wide smile, pulling out a chair for him.
"You didn't have do all this alone. I could've helped." He sits down eyeing the muffins.
"I liked cooking by myself in the peace and quiet. Now shush and dig in." I sit down across from him, already stuffing a toast in mouth.
Lyra walks in looking pleased with food on the table. "I made you your favorite tea. It's on low heat on the stove to keep it warm."
"Thank you, Elle." She shares her cup of tea before seating down. The first thing she grabs is the oat meal and I'm happy I went with that choice.
"These are so good." Simon said with a mouth full catching my attention. I look to see two of the muffins are already gone and he is on his third one. I first give him a look before a smile broke out on my face.
I shake my head, finishing my toast moving on to the pancakes. "Their here." Lyra said before taking a sip of her tea.
Mid way of chewing, I stop and tilt my head questioningly. I hear the door open and see Daniel running in the room with his eyes sparkling as he takes in the setting.
"A blood bag would go so good right now but... this, I'll take it." He sits down stuffing a pancake in his mouth. "Yo, pass me a muffin." Simon, toss him a muffin and catches it with ease.
"I take it your journey was safe." Lyra comments.
"Oh, yeah. No attacks or any thing."
I relax knowing they were ok and began to stare at the doorway for, Andrew to enter. "So where is-?"
"Your handsome chocolate carrying stud?"
My eyes light up and before I knew it I was running towards him like some lunatic. I grab the bag out of his hand and hug the bag that's filled with sweetness.
I open my eyes to see Andrew's mouth slightly open, watching me in disbelief. I laugh at the look on his face put the bag on the floor. "I'm just kidding." I say wrapping my arms around his neck as he wraps his around my waist. "You know you're my number 2."
"Very funny." He mumbles before giving me a peck on the lips. "Are you ok?"
I nod. "Yeah, for now."
I could tell he didn't like my answer from the slight frown on his face. With a smile still on mine, I use both my thumbs to turn his frown upside down.
I could tell he was trying so hard not to smile until he finally he broke and I got to see those perfect teeth of his.
Getting lost into our own world, I totally forgot other people were around us until someone spoke.
"Simon?" A hoarse voice asks behind us.
I turn around to see a much more lively and healthy Junior from the last time I saw him. Simon already had his arms wrapped around him in a blink of an eye. Junior seemed to have relaxed and hugs Simon back with a small smile formed on his lips.
My heart swells as I watch their interactions with each other and I couldn't keep the smile off my face.
They finally break away from each other and Junior finally takes a look around until his eyes land on me.
With a warm smile, I say, "You must be hungry." I point to the table. "There is plenty to go around."
