607 The Truth of the Past

Old Master Yun shook his head. "It's not that I don't like Yun Muzhong. It's your way of educating him that made a complete mess of him. When I didn't know about the things you did and thought that he was my son, I had hopes for him, but after I saw him, I knew you had a hand in how he turned out. I just couldn't like him no matter what."

Yun Bixue was also shocked. She looked confusedly at her husband, who always seemed to have well thought out plans and appeared like a general when devising his strategies.

It made people feel safe with him, but he did not tell her about this matter.

Yun Bixue turned to Old Lady Shen and felt that she was a scary person. What kind of character did she have if she could kill her son's father? It would send chills running down the spine of anyone who hears it.

"You guys don't have to look at me like that. It was him… He didn't want to touch me at all… He only had a dead person and his son in his eyes. He did not care for any other person!" Old Lady Shen pointed her finger at Old Master Yun as she shifted the blame on him.

Old Master Yun stared at her. "Shen Gui, I only have my wife in my heart. Even if she had already passed on, my heart doesn't have any more space for another person. You just forced me to marry you. I've said before that I didn't like you, but you still wanted to join the Yun family. You cannot control a person's heart, so can you really blame me for that?"

What Old Master Yun was trying to tell Old Lady Shen was that you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. However, what Old Lady Shen thought was that once she wanted and got something, it should be entirely hers.

At that moment, the door was slammed open, and a red-faced Yun Muzhong came in with clenched fists. He stared at Old Lady Shen with swollen red eyes and said in a voice seething with fury, "It was you… It was actually you… I'm not part of the Yun family. I actually don't belong to them… You killed my father. I'll kill you…"

As Yun Muzhong spoke, he rushed forward in a craze and strangled Old Lady Shen.

Old Lady Shen made choking sounds as Yun Muzhong's hands squeezed around her neck. She couldn't believe that her wooden son actually wanted to kill her.

The scene turned into chaos in a short moment. Yun Bixue and Xie Limo immediately grabbed Yun Muzhong and dragged him away.

Yun Muzhong glared daggers at Old Lady Shen, his hatred stabbing her as though she was his mortal enemy. He always felt that Old Master Yun didn't like him, but he just thought that it was because of his mother. That was why he was not hungry for power, nor did he kick up any fuss. Now he knew—the truth was actually very cruel.

"Her body is already in this state. She's now getting what she deserved from all her sins. No matter what, she is still your mother, so calm down." Xie Limo knew that it was hard for Yun Muzhong to digest this information.

No one knew when Yun Muzhong arrived, but he had heard everything from the corridor. When he turned to look at Old Lady Shen, the latter looked so shaken at what her son just did. She loved and adored her son, but he treated her in this manner. It was a huge blow for her.

Yun Muzhong tried to compose himself, but he still glared hatefully at Old Lady Shen. "I don't ever want to see you again!" After he said this, he stormed out.

Yun Bixue immediately sent someone after him to make sure that nothing happened to him. Although she did not discriminate against her uncle because of the lack of blood relation, he had never defended her in the Yun family either. But at least, he did not bully and scold her like how Yang Siru and Old Lady Shen did.

Old Master Yun was exhausted and could no longer be bothered to understand some of the information. Because of this, Xie Limo spoke for Old Master Yun and said plainly, "Now, tell us. You arranged the funeral of Yun Bixue's parents, so what else did you hide from us? It's better for you to say it now rather than me since it wouldn't be good for you. Things that could happen to Yun Muzhong won't be those you expect, right?"

Xie Limo would not spare any mercy to people like Old Lady Shen. He knew her weaknesses, and he was ruthless as he struck those weak points.
