Chapter 30 Bonding Time

As the youngsters would only be around for a minimal time, Bobby and Shin Ji decided to spend the day with them. They toured around the company, and during a meeting, Bobby Han introduced Asher Collins as his daughter's fiance. They also made sure the media got the word to spread about Bianca visiting her parents with her fiance.

Sue Jin, who did not know Bianca was back home, was still in New York the whole time the media was extending warm greetings of congratulations to the well-respected and famous name in the industry, the Han family.

With the Collins' team of lawyers, they have filed a criminal case against Sue Jin. The authorities moved in haste as they could not let the criminal exit the country before she was cleared from the lawsuit that was filed against her. They searched for her possible whereabouts. Issued an order at every airport to hold her, in case she tried to leave the country. With all resources and with favors asked from their friends to make their move efficient and timely, the authorities were able to trace Sue Jin's location the very same day the search was ordered to be executed.

She was in bed with Cedrick Walsh when their hotel room door was knocked, and with a warrant of arrest issued for Sue Jin, the two of them were brought to the NYPD precinct.

The waiter was also arrested and eventually confessed when the authorities questioned him regarding the complaints filed by the Collin's lawyer with the lab test results from Asher's blood sample and the video clip where he was caught pouring something into the wine glass. He himself handed the drinks to Bianca Han at the party.

Along with the evidence gathered, Sue Jin was accused of malicious acts offense and sentenced to a year imprisonment. Cedrick Walsh was allegedly accused as an accomplice, being with her, so he was brought to the precinct as well. He was questioned and detained for forty-eight hours. Ray Collins made sure they got Bianca and Asher the justice they deserved, and he made use of all his connections to make the process done swiftly and discretely. Ray knew well that Asher would not want to stain Bianca's reputation even in the slightest, so the old Collins made sure all investigation and everyone involved was warned to avoid publicity.

It was beneficial for Cedrick and Sue Jin as well. But the Han and Collins family joined forces and agreed to never let Sue Jin bailout. But only in New York because the Han family made use of her case as an issue to be also filed in South Korea, along with the other evidence of misconduct she and her father had done along with a few accomplices in the company who allied with the Jin's and went against the Han family.

That day, all issues were settled with victory on Bianca and Asher's side. The two fathers were introduced along with Bianca's mother through a virtual call, and they dealt with the problem from both ends. The parents were both enthusiastic about becoming family in-laws to each other as their beloved children were about to get married. Bianca did not decline Asher's marriage proposal during breakfast, but she requested for everything to be done slowly. They can file the marriage certificate, but their wedding, which will be done in both the bride's hometown as well as the groom's, should be done after she graduates from her studies.

A lot of things happened in one day.

Happiness. Unity. Victory.

These were the symbols that filled their hearts.

The young couple was scheduled to leave the very next day, so the four of them were inseparable.

The parents wanted to spend more time with them that they ended up staying awake the whole night through. They were in the living room while the two men were enjoying their father and son-in-law bonding moments, and Bianca was lying on her mom's lap as they were having their girl's talk.

"I was worried about my daughter before you came along," Bobby smiled as he spoke gently while taking a sip of his Sujo in a tiny shot glass.

Asher did not say anything, but he smiled.

"I feared to think I had raised my daughter wrong. I actually wanted to have a son, but my wife could no longer have another child after a lot of complications bearing Bianca in her womb..." Bobby paused and sighed deeply.

"Of course, I loved my daughter ever since she was born, ever since she was conceived..." he took a sip of his drink and looked at Asher with a faint smile. "But I think I have raised her like a boy. I was afraid she might have had a gender identity confusion since she would not even engage in dating."

Asher shook his head while smiling widely.

"If I may speak," Asher carefully butted in.

"Sure, son, go ahead," Bobby smiled widely. "So this is how it feels to have and call a son..." he added mindlessly.

"She didn't know I owned the house, and when I told her I was going to be her roommate, she was terribly angered. She even kicked me when I tried to introduce myself to her," Asher couldn't help laughing as he remembered what happened that day. "I am proud to say that you have raised her very well. She is determined to achieve her goals in life despite circumstances. I respect her for everything that she is. I admire her strong principles in life, her self-respect, and impressive well-manners, inside and out. They are all shining so brightly within her. I have never seen a woman as admirable as Bianca in my whole life. But of course, aside from my mother-in-law," Asher solemnly stated.

This time Bobby kept his silence. He loved to hear Asher speak more of his beloved daughter with unconcealed admiration and high regard that he is so proud he is Bianca's dad. Bobby felt warm in his heart that there is a man who loves his dear daughter as much as he, as the father, loves her. He feels secure that Asher will never let her daughter feel aggrieved or make her cry intentionally. He believes in his heart that these two young hearts will find their path in life to live a happy married life just like he and his wife did.

"I would like to give you some advice on how to be a husband," Bobby snorted.

"Yes, please..." Asher eagerly answered. He himself had seen how Bianca's parents are in harmony with everything. He used to see a similar view with his parents when his mom was still around. It warmed his heart. It reminded him of how happy they used to be as a family. Her illness ruined it as they could no longer be as jovial as they used to when his mom started to feel weak. They began to feel sorry that she could not join them in any activity as her health deteriorated. Even Christmas wasn't celebrated the way they used to. Even a dinner party was no longer possible.

But today, Asher was feeling nostalgic around the Han couple. He admired them. He would definitely want to hear any advice or tip his father-in-law would willingly give and share with him.
