Chapter 10
Liliana's point of view
I was starting to become dull! I knew I wasn't good with mathematics neither was I good with physics but at least I was an average student when it came to those subjects but now it was as if I was reading in Japanese and I couldn't phantom anything at all.
I tore the shit of my book because I got the question wrong. I have been trying to solve this question for the past one hour but nothing seems to fit.
This is so frustrating, I guess God decided to skip my brain when he was giving knowledge on mathematics.
I placed my head on my bed trying to calm my brain and come up with another method into solving the maths.
I don't know who can really feel me, but have you ever experienced some kind of headache when the teacher explains and solve equation on math and all you could hear was a foreign language you couldn't understand in return?, Even when I tried listening and concentrating, my brain refused to and my mind was someone else.
Trying to think if other methods to do so that I could do my assignment, I tapped on my bed with my I sex finger. I was really outspoken and I knew how to do public speech but when it came to calculation, it was something that really gave me issues.
The only topic I was good at is Algebra, specifically seventh and eighth-grade algebra.
Mr. Fulton, our math teacher, kept speaking and all I wanted to do was sleep wishing I was really good with calculation but I couldn't.
I got home, pissed by the fact that I h
ad a lot of math assignments due Monday and I don't even know how to do any of them. I heaved a sigh
I'm sure some of you could relate when you hear the word 'Trigonometry Graph' which isn't the only worksheet, he also gave us homework on 'Matrixes'. According to others, 'Matrixes' is simple. But to me, I'm so dumb, my brain couldn't phantom anything, not at all.
I got off my bed, I sprawled down on the floor exhausted, having three subjects involving calculation today. I lazily picked my math notebook from my bed and textbook from inside my bag, placing them on my small size table. I tried going over the topics and understanding them. I went all over them all over and over again but it seemed nothing was going through my head.
I've flipped through the pages for over thirty minutes now, struggling to understand at least one line and all I kept doing was yawning without a stop.
I was dizzy and my stomach grumbled. I was literally frustrated at this point. I wish I was a genius, just many things would have been easy for me to get over with so quick.
I suddenly saw a figure crossing over to my window. I scrunched my brows when I saw Ricardo, who gave him the right to come into my room through the window with no permission?
"You didn't tell me, you had hearing problems," Ricardo smugly stated.
"Ahhh, yes you did. Just now." He smirked.
"What do you want?" I asked tiredly
.
"I was calling you for the past twenty seconds and you just sat there, confused, and scratching your hair while flipping through pages. "Is something wrong?" He asked me.
He moved closer to see what I was doing, "Are you really that dumb that you don't know Matrixes or you are just not in the mood to solve them?" He asked with a shocked expression.
Why does everyone believe Matrixes are so easy? I mean because you can solve it with no stress doesn't mean others can't! That's just life, you can't be perfect when you are not the lord Jesus Christ.
"And these are the simple levels," he clicked his tongue, "tsk, tsk, tsk."
I scoffed, what a bragger? "Are you done talking?" I shook my head in disbelief.
The next thing I knew, he sprawled down next to me, took my pen from my hand and began to explain them to me. At first I thought he was joking around but he was serious. I was shocked by how he solved the trigonometry problem, he fixed them on the graph and solved them with no issue. I blinked my eyes at how easy he solved and calculated them, placing it where needed on the graph. Wawu!
Who would have thought, a player like him was a geek. Bless the Lord for his ultimate power.
He explained them so well and broke them down to the simplest form using the easiest formula. He explained better than Mr. Fulton. I still couldn't understand what he said but he was really good and that was for sure.
I stared at him all the while he taught, marveling at how good he was. When does he find time to study when all he does is chase after girls or should I say when all he is good at is getting the ladies attention.
Maybe at night? I don't think so, he loves to sleep at night, that I wasn't sure about but who doesn't love their night sleep? Of course I love mine, I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
"Do you get it now?" He was pleased with all that he had just said.
If only he knew, I didn't grasp a single word he said, then he wouldn't ask. I slowly nodded my head and smiled sheepishly. Of course I didn't but was I going to tell him that? Not at all.
"So, let me give you a question to solve." He said smirking like he knew I didn't pay attention. My eyes popped out, he was going to ask me a question to disgrace me or what?
"No, I'm so exhausted," I said, yawning, trying to make sure he doesn't ask me or give me any question to solve. I'd definitely fail them all.
"You know what I hate the most Lily?" He spoke softly. I shook my head.
"I hate being lied to. If you didn't get it, feel free to call me back and besides I used the simplest method." He sighed but he wasn't mad.
Like seriously, no one would teach me the way he did and find out you didn't pay attention while he was teaching and let you off without shouting on you.
"I'm sorry," I whispered , biting my lips.
"It's fine." He said after a while.
"I've done your assignments for you and when I have time, I might assist you then," He stood up to his feet, stretching his arms.
His shirt went up a bit, revealing his sexy body. I could see the band of his boxers. I twitched my eyes trying to take my eyes off his boxer and his waist.
"I have somewhere to be, see you later." He winked. I was sure he was going off to search for girls. Ewww... I was starting to think dirty, bad Liliana.
He walked out without another word.
This boy never ceases to amaze me. Aside from being so devilishly handsome, he was also intelligent.
I was about to go to the bathroom when I heard the ringing sound of my phone.
"Hello, Liliana speaking," I answered.
"Omg! Lily, you have to meet me at this address now and make sure to dress hot and sexy," Crystal chimed on the phone, making me move it away from my ear.
"And why should I?" I asked.
"Because, the entire student body of Diamond High School is here, and besides it's Friday!" She squealed.
And what does Friday have to do with all of this? I needed to sleep, it was one of the things I loved doing in this life.
Crystal may look like a nerd, but she wasn't a nerd at all. She was a party freak. She has a lively and bubbly personality, always spreading news here and there, another reason she wanted to be a journalist.
I've only been in New York City for three weeks and it already felt like a year.
"Okay, I'm on my way." I said to her, writing down the address.
As soon as she ended the call, I changed into denim black jeans and a white chiffon top. I also grabbed my jacket in case I got a cold , considering I didn't know where I was going to neither did I know what it'd be like over there.
It was gonna be a long night. I wore my boots, making my way to Dennis' room to tell him I was going out and would be back soon.
