Chapter 16

Tyra POV

Alpha is a perfect gentleman. He takes my hand as we walk out of the house and constantly smiles as he walks me to his truck. He opens my door for me. I get into the truck and wait patiently for him. I am so nervous, but he puts me at ease with his sweet smile. I never knew a man could be this way. I am waiting for the shoe to drop and him to act like an ass, but it has not happened yet.

Alpha starts the truck, and we begin our drive to the lake. “The lake is not far. My boat is small, but it is nice. It has a sleeping cabin. There is a bar, a shower, and a small kitchen on it,” Alpha says.

“It sounds huge,” I say.

“Okay, maybe it is a little bit big,” he says, laughing.

“Where are we going on your boat?” I ask.

“I thought we would take it to a marina that has a fabulous restaurant. It will take us about an hour by the water to get there. The boat ride will be relaxing, and the view is unbelievable,” Alpha says.

“This is a place you go to a lot?” Tyra asks.

“I have been a few times alone. I have not had a chance to go in a while. I think you will like it,” Alpha says.

I look at him driving and happy. His long dark hair and beard are blowing in the wind. He is so damn sexy. I have tried not to think of him in any way other than the Alpha of the pack, but every single time I look at him, I feel this urge to reach out and touch him. I want to feel him close to me. He has this pull like gravity. I have tried so hard to restrain myself, but I do not think I can control myself much longer.

“I am excited. I cannot remember the last time I was out on the water. I love the water,” I say. “I know you do, and you told me how much you love to swim. We can swim in the lake tonight if you want,” Alpha says.

“I think I would like that, Alpha,” I say.

“Michael, call me Michael while we are away from the pack,” he says.

“Okay, Michael, I would love to swim in the lake with you, but I did not bring anything to swim in, so you will have to promise not to look at my naked body,” I say jokingly.

“There is no way in hell I could make and keep that promise,” he says.

We pull into the marina. Alpha gets out of the truck and comes around to open my door. I step out of the truck and lean into him. I boldly kiss him on the cheek.

“Thank you for opening my door,” I say. He closes the door and takes my hand. My small hand in his big hand seems to fit perfectly. We walk hand in hand to his boat.

His boat is not tiny as he described it. It is huge. He helps me step onto it. I set out exploring the boat as he gets ready for us to leave. I go down into the cabin to look around. The small bathroom is enormous. There are two beds as described and a kitchen. I go back up and have a seat on the boat. The sun is beating down on us as we begin our journey to the restaurant. I watch him handling the boat and looking so different, out of his element away from the pack. Here he is just Michael, not Alpha. He is sexy and strong, everything I want and need in my life.

Michael joins me on the deck. We are stopped in the middle of the lake.

“What do you think?” he asks me. The sounds of the water and the feel of the wind surround us as he puts his hand on my waist.

“I think I love it here,” I say.

I turn around and lay my head on his chest. He pulls me in close to him. I feel his strong hands on my back. I look up as the sun shines behind him. He looks like an angel that saved me from a life of hell. I run my hand across his chest to his neck and pull him down to me. Our lips touch softly and passionately. Is this what it feels like to truly want someone?

Alpha kisses me harder and pulls me closer to him. Our tongues intertwine and seem to dance off of one another. I let my hand wander over his body, his chest, his big arms, his face; I need to feel all of him. I suddenly realize I am breathing hard as our kiss gets more intense. I press my body against him. I want to melt into him and stay there forever.

Michael pushes back from me being the gentlemen he is. “I should get us to the marina; you know, dinner,” he says.

“Yes, dinner,” I say.

Michael goes back to drive the boat, and I watch him as he sets our course for the marina. I don’t know why but I feel the need to go to him. Maybe he is afraid he is taking advantage of me. I get up and go to him as he drives the boat.

“How much further until we are there?” I ask him.

“It is right there, do you see it?” he answers me.

I look at this beautiful marina. It has a hotel and a restaurant on the premises. The place is spectacular. “I cannot believe you brought me here; it is amazing,” I say.

“I knew you would like it,” Alpha says.

As we get closer and I can see more of the hotel and restaurant. It is dark wood and built like a log cabin. It seems to go forever along the lakeside. I can see a pool and people everywhere. The restaurant is built with large windows from the floor to the ceiling. There are people outside walking along the water.

“Happiness looks good on you,” he says.

“You know what would make me happy?” I ask him.

“What is that?” Alpha asks as he pulls the boat into a boat slip.

“If you would kiss me right now, Michael, and not be afraid,” I say.

Michael takes me into his arms and kisses me. “Are you happy now?” Michael asks me.

“Yes, very happy,” I say.
