Chapter 32
Tyra POV
I drive back to the house slowly. I have no idea what to tell Michael. I do not know if he will be happy or if he will be mad. We talked about this, but we knew it would not be possible with my age. This is crazy. I am too old to be pregnant.
I pull into the driveway, and I sit in the truck. For some reason, I start crying. I cannot stop crying. Michael comes out of the house. He walks up to the truck. He opens the door. "Tyra, are you okay?" Michael asks me.
"Well, I am not sure. Define okay?" I ask him.
"Are you healthy? Did you see a doctor? What did they say?" Michael asks.
"I am afraid to tell you," I say.
Michael touches my face and kisses me. I close my eyes and let the tears roll down my face. "Whatever it is, I am here for you," Michael says.
"Michael, I... I.... Fuck.... Michael, I am pregnant," I say, stumbling over my worlds. I am scared to even look at his face.
"Seriously, you are pregnant?" Michael asks.
"This is not something I would joke about, Michael," I say to him.
"Are you happy? You do not seem happy," Michael says.
"Yes, I am happy. I am just scared. I am worried, and I am afraid that you would be mad," I say.
"Why would I be mad?" Michael asks.
"Because I thought you did not want children," I say.
"I would love to have a child with you. I said it is not a priority. It is now. This is amazing," Michael says.
I get out of the truck and follow Michael into the house. "Are you going to tell Tee?" Michael asks me.
"Yes, I am going to tell her," I say.
Tee comes out of the back of the house. "So, what did the doctor say?" Tee asks.
"I did not see the doctor. I saw a nurse. I panicked after I saw the nurse. I will have to see a pack doctor for this problem," I say.
"Oh, so what is it?" Tee asks.
"Well, I am pregnant," I say.
Tee's mouth drops. "No fucking way," Tee says.
"That is pretty much what I said," I say.
"Look at you, Alpha. You are going to be a papa," Tee says.
I walk past the two of them talking. I go upstairs and lay on the bed. I want to be alone. Michael follows me up to the bedroom. "You are not okay, Tyra," he says.
"Yeah, I will be fine. I am scared and worried about having a baby. It is a lot to take in, especially when I went in this morning thinking that it was something," I say.
Michael kneels in front of me. He places his hand on my knee. "I will be so good to you through this," he says.
"You are always good to me, Alpha," I say.
"Well, starting today, I will be extra good to you," Michael says.
"I do not know if that is even possible, but okay," I say.
Michael spends the next nine months being significantly overprotective. He does not allow me to do anything. I feel smothered, but I let him be overprotective. Jeb put me on bed rest last week. Every time I move, I think I am going into labor.
Michael comes into the bedroom with my breakfast. "How are both of my babies this morning?" Michael asks.
"One is overactive, and the other is fat and tired," I answer.
"Well, you are beautiful," he says.
"I do not feel beautiful. I feel like a cow," I say.
"Well, you are the most beautiful cow I have ever seen," Michael says.
"That is not funny," I say.
"Sit up and eat breakfast," he says.
I sit up in the bed. Michael sets a tray in front of me. "My belly is too big. I cannot get to it. I just want some coffee and some toast," I protest.
"Why don't I help you down the stairs. You can sit on the couch and eat breakfast. You can fuss at Tee, and she can fuss back. It would be great entertainment for me," Michael says
"That sounds wonderful," I say.
Michael pulls the covers back to help me out of bed. He gasps as he looks at the sheets in horror. "What is wrong?" I ask. I cannot see what he is looking at on the bed.
Michael puts one arm under my knees and the other around my back. He scoops me up out of bed. I look down and see blood. "I am taking you to Jeb," He says.
He takes me down the stairs. We pass Tee in the kitchen. "Grab the truck keys and come on with us," Michael says.
Michael gets into the truck, still holding me, and Tee gets in the driver's side to drive us to Jeb. "Do you feel okay?' Michael asks.
"I think so," I answer.
"Drive fast, Tee," he instructs Tee.
As we drive, I feel something warm and wet beneath. "Something is happening," I say to Michael.
"I know I feel it," he says.
"Look," I say. Michael looks down to see what is going on with me.
"It is water; your water broke," he says.
"We are having a baby today," I say, smiling. I can tell he is scared. I look into his eyes and kiss his lips.
"Everything will be fine, Michael," I say.
Michael's eyes show so much concern as we pull into Jeb's. He opens the door and carries me through the door. "She is in labor. There was a lot of blood, and her water broke," Michael says.
"I can see that. Calm down, papa. Women have little babies every single day," Jeb says.
Michael carries me to the back room. He lays me on a bed. The room is freezing. "I need a blanket. It is so cold," I say.
"Tyra, we need to check and see how far along you are in labor," Jeb says.
"Okay," I say. Jeb and Tee help me get into position. Michael holds my hand. "Everything is perfect, my love," Michael says.
"I know, but you are making me nervous, and I am so cold," I say, shivering. My body shakes wildly.
"Tyra, honey, you are fully dilated, and this baby is in the birth canal ready to come out," Jeb says.
"Oh my goodness, this is so exciting," Tee says.
Jeb leaves the room to go get a nurse to get me ready. I am about to be a mother. I am terrified.
Alpha POV
Tyra gave birth to our daughter in record time. Jeb found it amusing that a doctor had no idea she was in labor. He said she was probably in labor all night and had no idea. She was very uncomfortable and very grumpy the night before she had Giselle.
Giselle Sierra, we named her after family. Tyra wanted to call her CiCi. I could not see myself calling her CiCi, but that was what Tyra wanted, so we called her CiCi. CiCi was a beautiful red-headed chunky baby. I have to admit I cried when she was born. I had never seen anything so beautiful. Tyra was amazing. I did not think I could love her more than I already did, but after watching her give life to our precious CiCi, my heart was so full of love for them both.
Jeb let me take both of them home the very next day. Tee helped me and Tyra take care of CiCi in every way. She made sure Tyra got plenty of rest the first few days we were home. I know Tyra was grateful. She was exhausted in the first few days but took to motherhood quickly. CiCi became her life.
I thought she would go into a complete panic when she went back to work when CiCi was four months old. The pack needed her back as a doctor. Jeb became very sick shortly after CiCi was born, but he held out as long as possible so that Tyra could stay home with our baby. When CiCi was four months old, Jeb could not hold out any longer. He died shortly after Tyra went back to work in his place.
Lucky for us, we had Tee. Tee took care of CiCi some, and so did I. Since I worked from home most of the time, I cared for CiCi while Tyra worked, too. Some days she took CiCi with her. It was difficult for her, but she adjusted to the new life.
Tyra adjusted her life to serving the pack, me, and CiCi. Finding Tyra and loving her has been the most incredible honor of my life. There will never be anyone else for me. Tyra always told CiCi to find someone who would love her the way daddy loves mommy. CiCi listened to this. On her nineteenth birthday, CiCi met her mate.
Chip is a fantastic wolf from a good family. Tyra loved him like a son. Tyra thought he was perfect for CiCi. When he asked to marry CiCi, Tyra was so happy. Tyra got so much joy when she and Tee planned CiCi's wedding. It was one of the last, joyful moments of her life.
CiCi gave us a grandson two years after she married Chip. Shortly after baby Jeb was born is when Tyra became sick. It crushed us as a family. Tyra was a trooper. I gave her the best life possible every day we were together. I still love her to this day and will until the day I join her: always my love, my Tyra, my Luna.
