Chapter 13
Euclid fixed his executive suit after a few minutes of flirting with a random girl on the club. He tried to avoid the tramp, but Frederick pushed him to just play and pretend that he’s a womanizer wealthy businessman tonight.
“How much?” Fred asked him over the earpiece when the girl left his table. “She looked so horny,” he added and laughed.
“I didn’t deal with her,” he said and brushed off the girl’s DNA strands on his suit. “She’s too young. I think she’s a minor—”
“All the girls here looked like a minor, you know? I think it’s because of the lights,” he said. “Or, maybe there’s something in their drinks here.”
Euclid smelled their glass of beer. “I smelled nothing. Maybe your testosterones are fooling you.”
Fred snorted. “Just like what happened to you last night?”
Euclid ignored him. Frederick can’t still get over what he did last night. But, tonight is quite different because Magdalene will make his night intense and wilder. In just a few moments, the show will start, and all his men need to stay alert. Euclid will make sure that they’ll get this mission accomplished this time.
A few minutes later, all the lights went off. The audiences fell silent, but when sensual music aired in the air, all of them roared a whistle.
“Sir, Magdalene’s performing tonight, get ready for the bidding,” the barker whispered to Euclid.
He was also the same man that Euclid talked to when he was passing by the club, but by his aggressive approach to him, it seemed that he didn’t recognize him. And, that’s a good thing, it just meant that their disguise is effective. Frederick and Euclid disguised as a business owner tonight, with their crisp expensive suits. Every woman in the club was magnetized by them, hoping that they could get their attention and some money.
But, stray women like them are not what they need, they need the woman who has the information, the woman who’s connected to many other businesses on the black market. They need Magdalene and her knowledge about Black Triad.
“How many bidders attended tonight?” he asked, fishing out a blue bill from his pocket and tipping him. “I need a room, I’ll make sure Magdalene is mine tonight.”
“About twenty,” he replied and took the bill from him. “But, you’re lucky, sir. The highest bidder can’t make it tonight.”
Euclid clenched his jaw. That sounded like they lost one target tonight. When the barker walked away, Fred spoke on his earpiece, asking Kristoff, their IT specialist, to check the highest bidder’s identity.
“It’s Governor Alvarez Dela Paz,” Kristoff’s voice aired with a noise of his keyboard in the background. “Drop him, we need to get the club owner. He’s connected to the Black Triad, and one of its men is still on the list.”
Euclid was about to say something on his hidden mouthpiece when the audience became noisy. They’re all shouting for Magdalene to come out on the stage.
“Why does she taking so long?” Fred asked, sounding impatient. “I can’t wait to see her dance naked.”
“Euclid, we only have one hour to launch this mission. David said that some of the bouncers were walking back and forth on the entrance,” Kristoff informed. “It seemed they’ve been warned.”
“Ten-four,” he answered. “David, tell your men to keep an eye on the clubmen. Once the girl stepped out on the stage, the bid will start.”
Just after Euclid said it, colorful spotlights filled the stage, and a slow and smooth sensual piece of music aired. Euclid felt the excitement run through his veins as he stared at the red curtains, anticipating what will happen in the next few seconds.
But, the male host interrupted the moment by going on the stage. “Are you all ready to see our dearest Magdalene?” he said on the microphone loudly.
“I’ll shoot him if he stays longer on the stage,” Fred whispered on the earpiece. “I did not come here for him—”
“Shut your mouth, Fred.” Euclid cut off. He glanced at his partner, who was sitting on the other side of the club. “Guard on,” he said, and when he got a nod from him, he returned his gaze to the stage. “But, I might shoot him, too. He’s too talkative.”
He heard chuckles from his men. “Sir Euclid, I heard that Magdalene is a real hot babe,” David commented. He and his team were assigned to be ordinary people that could blend with the audience. “And, everybody here is asking for her.”
“That’s why she’s our target for tonight,” Fred said. “I’ll give all my mark money to get her in bed.”
“I didn’t get any information from Magdalene,” Kristoff informed. “It just says here that she’s a single mother prostitute. She started working at the club as a server, but a few months after, she was promoted as a dancer, and that is where her title Magdalene started.”
“But, nobody has seen her face,” Fred commented. “Does it mean, even when she was just a server, she’s wearing a mask? Was she the only woman with mask here?”
“Probably,” Kristoff said. “The only pictures that I got were stolen shots. And, her face was covered in all her pictures. Whoever she is, it looks like that she’s good at hiding.”
“Whoever she is, we need her,” Euclid said. “I have a strong feeling that she has the information that we need from the Black Triad.”
“Why are you so sure about that, Euclid?” Frederick asked. “What if that strong feeling was just lust?”
Euclid paused. ‘Lust?’ He was just about to counter back when the emcee started to speak again. Making all of them return their eyes to the stage.
“Let’s all give a round of applause for our hot and sizzling heaven’s sent, Magdalene!” The male host shouted, followed by noise and loud whistles from the audiences.
The thin and smooth sound of sensual music was back, and the spotlight was now focused on the center stage. Euclid held his breath when just after a second, the curtains parted, and a tall, sexy, and gorgeous woman stepped out.
Euclid Mercado raised from his seat as he watched the glowing woman saunter towards the center stage. He can’t explain the strong emotions that are starting to lurk inside his chest. He felt as if every part of a woman’s body, whose name is Magdalene, is familiar to him.
