Chapter 78
“I CAN’T BELIEVE IT!” Tamara exclaimed as soon as the Ferris wheel went up and the people won’t hear her squeals. “You kissed me, and I didn’t say anything about it?”
Thaddeus covered his face with his delicate hands and laughed beautifully. Tamara couldn’t help but stare at how he’s perfect to look at. His hands were long and beautiful as if it had never experience to wash clothes and dishes. Thaddeus also has smooth glass skin. Tamara sighed. This man in front of her is much prettier than her.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” Thaddeus asked, his brows were slightly furrowed. “I know, I’m handsome, but you don’t have to stare at me as if I am the most handsome man in your world.”
Tamara felt embarrassed and looked away from him. “Why did you kiss me? And why I’m not aware of it?” Can you reenact the scene? I couldn’t remember how your lips felt in mine, Tamara added in her mind and giggled.
“I kissed you because you’re upset,” Thaddeus replied casually. “You’re hallucinating, so I have to get you back in yourself.”
Tamara gasped. “So, you saved me?” Her eyes widened in surprise. “Is that also part of your skill? Maybe I was nearly possessed that time, and you kissed me to bring back my soul to my body, is that it?”
Thaddeus pressed his lips and hesitated to answer. “Sort of—”
“Then you will do it again if you think I am not in myself again?”
Thaddeus scratched his brow. “Tamara, I think you’re okay now. It won’t happen again, I’m sure of it.”
“Don’t be so confident, Thaddeus,” she looked around the Ferris wheel’s capsule where they’re in. “What if the bad spirit is just here and waiting for the right moment to possess me again?” She moved to Thaddeus’s side and scooted closer to him. “I need to be safe.”
Thaddeus laughed. “He won’t follow us here, Tamara. As long as I’m with you, you’re safe.”
Tamara looked up at Thaddeus. “So I need to be with you always?”
The man avoided her eyes. “You’re wearing the necklace that is connected to mine. It represents the link that is connecting us. As long as the necklace is with you, you’ll feel as if I’m with your side and protecting you.”
“You?” Tamara asked him. “You’re protecting me?”
“My power as a shaman is protecting you,” Thaddeus clarified and smiled. He’s still not looking at her. “You just have to believe in the power of tourmaline quartz.”
Tamara puffed her cheeks. Why he can’t look at me? How I wish the bad spirit possessed me so I could feel his lips again against mine, but what if I couldn’t remember it again? Tamara groaned. “I have to be awake when it happened.”
“What did you say?” Thaddeus asked her.
“Nothing…” Tamara looked up at him, and their eyes met. She didn’t expect that he was looking at her! But, Tamara thought about this moment as an opportunity. So…
She moved closer to Thaddeus and claimed his lips. It wasn’t just a simple kiss, because Tamara made sure that he will kiss her back. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer.

Thaddeus didn’t see that coming. Tamara pulled him closer as her lips glided to his. His mind tells him to stop her, but his body is commanding him to kiss her back. In the end, the need to kiss Tamara won the battle.
He hooked his arm to her waist and pressed her body to him. He parted his lips to claim her, welcome her and let her feel what he wanted her to feel. The capsule swayed because all of their weight went on one side, but Thaddeus doesn’t care. He knew that the law of physics will take time to make the capsule roll, so every time the wheel spin, Thaddeus is pushing Tamara to the other side without leaving her lips.
“Wait…” Tamara pulled back from him. “I need air,” she said, catching his breath.
Thaddeus took a deep breath and pulled her hand to him. When Tamara was about to kiss him again, he stopped her. “Let’s save it for later.”
“What?” Tamara protested. “I can’t believe you’re saying my line to me.”
“Well, you have to believe me now,” he said and helped her get off the capsule. “So, what will be our next ride?”
“Let’s ride the Ferris wheel again,” Tamara suggested and clung to his arm. “What do you think?”
Thaddeus laughed. “I don’t think so,” he said and dragged her towards the Viking.
“I don’t want to ride in there,” Tamara said and pulled him away from the lines. “Look, the people are sitting side by side. What if the girl that sat beside you clung to you and transfer bad energy to you?”
“Is that really your concern?” he asked in a knotted forehead. When Tamara just blushed, Thaddeus laughed. He reached for her cheek and gave it a soft pinch.
Thaddeus couldn’t believe that he was actually experiencing this kind of spontaneous moment in his life. Everything that happened to him today wasn’t planned and by the book, unlike the life he used to live before. Every day was like a scene in the movie or in a fictional book to him. Everything he did is recorded, and with just one mistake, he’ll be sent to his father’s office.
But now, here he was, doing everything that he had never done before. Enjoy every single moment with the help of Tamara. If not because of her, he won’t be here. If not because of her, he won’t experience the law of gravity that is pulling him to fall for her.
“Come on, let’s just try the other rides that can only accommodate two people at a time,” Tamara suggested excitedly. She dragged him towards the Ferris wheel again. “I didn’t enjoy the view on the top because of you. Let’s try it again!”
He looked at her questioningly and laughed. “It was you who kissed me—” He paused when he saw a familiar man looking back at him. He narrowed his eyes at him, and when he noticed him talking to his phone, he dragged Tamara away. “Let’s go. We need to go home now.”
