Chapter 24 --- Perverted Demon
Chapter 24
Perverted Demon
[Xavier’s POV]
And here we go again. This is exactly the situation that I was trying to avoid. I was having a hard enough time controlling myself from looking down at the way her soaked dress clung to every crevasse of her body. Her honeyed scent wafted through the air and I subconsciously lowered my head to closer to hers. All I wanted to do in that moment was devour those tantalizing lips.
“Fuck! Iris, push me away already,” I thought as I felt my control slip.
However, she just sat there and seemed unbothered by my irrational behavior. Pulling back a bit, I examined her frightened expression. Was she that terrified of Barza? As she gripped my arm, I couldn’t help but enjoy the warmth of her body which was pressed up against mine. Her hard nipples were hard and occasionally brushed against my chest. A fire was building in the pit of my stomach and I almost groaned in frustration.
All of her attention was on Barza, who was on his way to join us in the pool. I had always loved having wild animals as pets growing up, and Barza was no exception. Once, I even raised a baby lion. Though, I ended up sending him away once he reached maturity. Looking back, that was probably one of the first times that I had experienced heart ache. We had gotten really close and he had even saved me once from an assassination attempt. That was the main reason of why I loved this animals so much. They’re undying loyalty put them a cut above humans. At least, that’s how I felt. Seeing Barza approach us, I was reminded of how much he had grown. I found him during one of my trips to the southern region.
She started squirming in my arms and my eyes hungrily fell onto her drenched lips. They had turned more pinkish since the water had washed off her lipstick. Her natural color was a great deal prettier and I felt the heady impulse to taste her. Even if it was just for a second, it would be well worth it. However, as Barza came closer she became more frantic and tried to escape from my arms.
“N-no! Mr. President, please! Please tell him to go away. I’m really terrified of snakes and he’s coming closer. I’m begging you. Please! Tell him to go away!”
I chuckled at her petrified state and turned towards my beautiful python.
“Baby Barza, go to another room. We have a guest here and you’re frightening her.”
She stared at me as if I was joking. I smirked at her and nonchalantly gestured for Barza to leave the pool. She gaped as she saw how my pet understood my words. What a stupid girl she was to doubt me. Barza had been trained for two years and was more than capable of obeying simple commands. She heaved a sigh of relief, as he slithered out of the pool room. A few moments later, she looked down and realized our position. Her face flushed tomato red.
“I am so sorry, Mr. President! I have taken more than enough of your time. I think I should leave now,” she mumbled as she scrambled up out of my arms and headed towards the door.
I felt my face twist into a sour expression. Why was I so aggravated that she was leaving? I wasn’t expecting to hold on to her forever, was I? But, still! Why was she acting like this? I knew that she thought I was attractive. Didn’t she? So annoying…
“Miss Young, wait!”
She immediately stopped and turned around. Having wrapped her arms over her chest, she looked directly at the floor to hide her embarrassment. I lifted myself up from the pool and came towards her.
“Are you planning on going out like that?”
She snapped her head up to look at me with a baffled expression. I walked over to the changing room as I said, “I'm not that unfeeling, Miss Young. I wouldn’t want you to feel humiliated in front of the staff.” Grabbing my white jacket, I handed it over to her while still making sure to avert my gaze. “After all, you are my secretary. This is the least I can do. Put it on for now. I will instruct for some more suitable clothes to be brought to you.”
“Thank you, sir.”
Nodding, I turned, snatched a nearby towel and started drying my damp hair. She followed me quickly and I stole a glance of her petite figure which was wrapped in my jacket. I couldn’t help but smile. She looked like a child while wearing my clothes.
Making our way downstairs, I took her to a guestroom and told her to wait there until she received clean clothes. Seeing her sit down on the bed, I left to go get dressed.
Going downstairs for breakfast, I walked past the sitting room and spotted Mom with Rosie. What were they whispering and grinning about? Seeing me enter the room, they cleared their throats and pretended to be talking about the latest trends. Plopping down onto the nearest sofa, I waited. I was fully aware of what they were doing.
“Where's the girl? Did she leave? She didn’t pass by here on her way out. What did you do?”
And, there it is! My mother had a bad habit of bombarding with questions and it really grated against my nerves.
Sitting up slightly, I shrugged my shoulders as I answered, “I ordered Barza to eat her. He was looking a bit thin.”
My mom sat there shocked but Rosie cackled as she clapped slowly.
“If Barza was fond of eating humans, he would have devoured you a long time ago. I wouldn’t blame him either. I’m sure he is tired of looking at that stupid face of yours,” she giggled.
I glared at her as she continued to laugh while slapping her hand against the couch. My mom just stared at me.
“Xavier, where is she? It's not proper to eat without our guest.”
“She isn't a guest, mother. She is my employee.”
Rosie rolled her eyes on my comment.
“She might be your employee, Xavier Gray. But she is a guest in my home and deserves hospitality from us. I didn't raise my children to behave rudely,” she snapped back at me.
Shit! I made her angry. I decided that it would be better to just keep quiet. Reaching for the remote, I switched on the news and instantly froze.
“Well, that was fast,” I mumbled to myself as I saw in the headlines flash across the screen.
