"No,I have to get going" Henry stood up and left the cafe. Jake stared at his departing figure and sighed. He could understand his friend's pain to some extent; but he couldn't understand how a maid's disappearance could affect him so much. He shrugged and went back to his office. Eight years later,....

"Good morning President" Her assistant greeted respectfully pulling the door of the car open. "Morning Avie, what's my schedule?" Quinn got into the car. "Mama.." Kathleen grunted an inaudible reply to her father's question. A reply which could possibly pass off as a yes or no. She wasn't ready for any conversation,but he was pestering her. "Dad, everything is under control. I can't come back to California at the moment" She swirled on her swivel chair. At that,her father yelled at the end of the line. She moved the phone away from her ear and then placed it close again. "Speak calmly Father" She wanted to end this conversation. "Henry?... Don't worry,I'll see him after a week. There is nothing to worry about" She hung up; she couldn't be bothered to continue the conversation. What was wrong with her Father? He wasn't one to pester someone in this manner. She pressed a button and her assistant promptly came into her office. "Check what's up with my Father. Is there anything wrong with him?" She was suspicious; why was he pestering her to come visit him?

She stood up and walked to the window,her hands placed back. "Hurry and get me a reply" She instructed. "Yes Madam," Her assistant bowed and left the office. He already knew what was wrong. But how could he divulge anything when her Father was in his home? He went back to her office after an hour, "Madam, nothing is wrong with the President" He bowed. "Nothing?" Kathleen repeated with an arched brow.

She studied his expression, "I hope there is nothing you are hiding from me. You may leave" She gestured him towards the door. How could there be nothing wrong with her father? Well,it wasn't as if it's a big deal.
