Drawn to her (fucking hangover)
Her phone suddenly started ringing.
'Ring... Ringgggg...'
Who was calling her by that time of the night?
She glanced at the caller ID and smiled.
"Hey Laurel. What's up?" Laurel was her best friend and the CEO of a perfume company.
Laurel's voice boomed over the loud speakers blaring at the background.
Kathleen arched her brows. Where the hell was her friend by this time of the night?
"Hey Kath! Come over to Sharaton bar. Hurry,we are having fun!!" Laurel screamed over the fun.
Obviously, they were having fun just like she said. Laurel had always been a party type. She always loved to have fun.
Kathleen glanced at the grandfather clock in her living room; 11:00pm.
So late...
However,she couldn't deny she was bored.
"Are you coming over now??!!!!" Laurel's loud voice startled her. She had forgotten she was on a call.
"Yeah, be there in five!!!" Kathleen equally shouted.
"See ya!!" Kathleen hung up.
Well well, it wouldn't hurt to have a bit of fun.
After these past few days stress,she wanted to cool off a bit.
She walked over to her walk in closet and got changed.
She came downstairs, grabbed her car keys and raced out of the room like she was being chased.

Standing at the entrance of Sharaton bar, Kathleen was contemplating if she was to enter or not.
Luckily for her, Laurel came out at that moment. To look for her probably..
"Hey girlie... Came out to see if you would be here in five or not." Laurel hugged her and led her into the bar.
The blaring speakers almost deafened Kathleen immediately she stepped into the bar. Club lights flashed everywhere. Kathleen followed her friend's lead as they sat on a chair beside the bartender's counter.
"A glass of brandy please." Kathleen told the bartender.
"Aye aye ma'am." The bartender replied using sailors language while smiling.
Kathleen smiled too...
"Let's go and dance." Laurel was moving her head to the beats. She was slowly getting drunk.
Though her alcohol tolerance was normal,but she had drunk way too many glasses of alcohol.
"Laurel, you are getting drunk." Kathleen pointed out.
"I know.. I.. cup...I just want to dance." Laurel replied with a hiccup as her cheeks flushed red.
Whatever...
Kathleen accepted the glass the bartender extended out to her and gulped it down without hesitation..
She cleared her throat; she was having a burning sensation at the back of her throat.
"Another please..." She held out her glass for a refill.
The bartender obliged...
After five glasses of brandy, Kathleen's face flushed red.
Laurel dragged her to the front where they begun dancing with reckless abandon.
They wiggled their ass as they danced.
When was the last time she had fun like this?
It had been a while...
She forgot about her worries and twisted her body to the beats.
"Go girl..." Laurel yelled loudly.
Kathleen smirked. Through her hazy thinking, she vaguely saw someone familiar.
Who was it? Well,she didn't care.
They continued dancing...

Stephen's assistant was patiently waiting in the car. He had been to told to tail her. Stephen wanted to make a deal with her.
It was 2:00am, when she finally came out of the bar with her friend.
They were both drunk as they staggered to their respective cars.
Could they drive in that state? He was somehow worried at their reckless attitude.
What if they got into an accident?
Well, it wasn't as if it was any of his business.
His business was to tail her and give reports to Stephen.
Immediately she started driving,he followed her closely behind.
Though he was told to tail her,there wasn't any need to follow her back home.
He didn't know why, but he had the urge to follow her.

Kathleen staggered into her living room and turned on lights... Her head was aching...
"Damn you Laurel..." She cursed under her breath.
She fell on the sofa tiredly and without changing her clothes, she fell asleep.
She didn't even pull off her shoes.
Soon the room was filled with her light snores...

His assistant decided to report to Stephen at dawn. It was after all late.
He drove to his residence...
En route to his house, his car broke down.
"What the fuck?!" He banged his fists on the steering wheel and stepped out to fix the problem...
In less than thirty minutes,he was done fixing the problem.
The car roared to life and he continued driving...
Kathleen... A beautiful name for a beautiful lady...
He felt drawn to her. However he knew he could only keep the thoughts to himself.

The next morning, Kathleen woke up with a terrible hang over...
Damn...
She massaged her head but it did nothing to help.
She dragged her tired self to the kitchen,made herself a glass of warm milk and drank it in one gulp.
Who the hell told her to drink so much yesterday?
And she had work to do at the office today...
Well, she was the CEO wasn't she? She could just take the day off...
"Aaaahh!!! I'm fucking tired. Fucking hangover." Kathleen groaned.
She managed to call her assistant and told him to take of everything at the office.
Though she wasn't at ease doing that, but for the sake of her health, she couldn't push herself last her limits...
"Maybe a quick bath will help?" She didn't hesitate; she returned to her bedroom. With slow steps she walked into the bathroom. She hung her robe on the rack, got under the shower and turned it on.
The water from the shower rained down on her. She enjoyed the cooling sensation the water was having on her head.
She made a mental note not to drink so much again.
She blamed Laurel... That damned girl was going to wake up more fit than ever, while here she was, having a hangover.
She grabbed the shower gel and poured it on her bathing sponge. She scrubbed her body gently, letting the water pour down on her....
