Broken friendship.

Ariana opened her eyes as sun rays poured into the bedroom. She closed her eyes at the effect it had on her eyes. She tried to sit up but her body felt sore.

Damn..

What was wrong with her? Was she sick?

She forced her body up and froze as if she had been electrocuted.

What was the pain she was feeling between her legs?

Although she wanted nothing to do with guys,it wasn't as if she was stupid.

She knew what the pain she was feeling meant. She had been violated!

Her eyes widened and she began shaking in anger. Who was it?

Who took her first time? Her eyes reddened as the thoughts of last night crossed her mind.

Although she was quite drunk,she remembered that Jayden drove her home and left.

Did he actually leave?

But if he didn't, how did the rapist come inside?

She was puzzled; her apartment wasn't safe anymore?

The door to her bedroom opened at that moment and Jayden came in.

"Hah... You actually slept over. Good morning." Ariana's tone was dull.

"What is the problem? Why do you look that way?" Although he already knew the answer, he pretended not to.

"I was raped. Right here in my room. I have no idea how he came in." It didn't cross her mind even once that Jayden might be the culprit.

He was after all a gay... How could he sleep with her?

"Clean up, let's head over to Khloe's place." That was the only response he could give. He wasn't planning on lying to her; it would only complicate things.

So, he wanted to explain everything to her right in their presence.

"What are you saying? I'm talking about something serious. What if I was killed instead?" Ariana was in tears.

She couldn't believe that a man actually slept with her. Without her consent in fact.

She felt her heart clench in pain. She looked up at Jayden's face. He turned around to leave the room.

"I will wait for you in the living room." With that he breezed out of the room in a hurry.

Ariana was in pain to even bother about his strange behavior.

The door bell rang and Khloe forcefully opened her eyes.

Who the fuck couldn't wait till sunrise before showing up at her doorstep?

Quinn equally woke up with a start. Who was it?

Ah... What a fool she was; it must be Jayden of course.

"I will get it." Khloe dragged her body across to the door.

She was shocked when she opened the door; two sad faced people were waiting at the door step.

"Jayden? Ariana? Come on in." She opened the door wider and ushered them in.

She was wondering if Jayden already told her about what happened last night.

But from the look on her face, it didn't look like it.

"Cheer up young lady, you look dead." Quinn joked.

Ariana sighed,

"I was violated last night. I have no idea who it is. In fact the both of us have no idea who it was." Ariana cried.

Jayden felt his heart break as he watched her cry. On their way here, he had been tempted to tell her the truth.

But he was afraid of what her reaction might be...

What if...

Khloe was speechless... She went over to sit beside her friend.

Quinn signaled at him to spill the beans. He nodded and stood up.

His heart was furiously pumping. He was afraid...

Yeah, he was fucking afraid.

"Ari... I have something to tell you." Jayden knelt before her.

Although Ariana had been having her suspicions, she had shrugged it off.

Why?

It made no sense. Jayden was a homo...

How in heaven's name could he be the culprit?

Jayden took a deep breath, stared into her eyes and began explaining everything.

Including his not being a gay.

At the end of his explanation, Ariana was obviously dumbfounded.

"You are joking right? You aren't saying the truth, are you?" Ariana felt her eyes tear up.

How could it be?

Did her trusted friend lie to her?

'Pakk!!'

A loud slap resounded across the room. She had slapped him!

Jayden held the cheek where she had slapped him in remorse. He wasn't even angry.

He deserved it...

If she could hit him a hundred times and forgive him, then he was ready for it.

Quinn and Khloe watched like spectators at a football game. They had nothing to contribute...

Ariana suddenly stood up.

"I trusted you, Jay. Yet, what did you do? You betrayed my trust Jay... You fucking betrayed my trust!!" The tears were coming in torrents now.

Quinn went over to join Khloe in comforting Ariana. They could understand her pain.

Yet, they weren't angry at Jayden at all.

"You know what? From this day, we don't know each other. Whenever we meet, let's follow separate paths." As she spoke, the tears continued trickling down.

Immediately he heard her words, he winced. What was she saying?

Was she throwing their years of friendship down the drain?

"I.... I'm really sorry, please don't do this Ari." He desperately pleaded.

"You should have known that when you took advantage of me." Her tone was cold; even her expression hardened.

Trust? She would never trust a male! Not in this lifetime...

Jayden noticed that she changed the way she usually spoke to him. Her tone was just like she was speaking to a stranger.

Ariana stormed out of the apartment in anger. She was afraid if she hung around a bit more, she might do something stupid.

"What have I done?" He muttered as he sank to the ground.

His heart hurt... He was also in pain.

"I think it's best if you stay away from her for a while. Travel to a different country entirely." Quinn calmly suggested.

That was the best decision for now... Ariana was still angry.

Even if she wasn't anymore, the bond and trust will be lost.
