ADRIA'S POV:

I woke up and a smile crept up my lips cause I felt fresh. After a long time, I could really say that I had a good night, a nice sleep.

But my smile instantly faded as I realized I was caged in between two strong arms, which were no less than iron bars.

My heart beat went fast as his handsome face came into my vision. For few minutes I kept still, admiring the perfection in his features. The sharp jaw line which would make any woman want to shower kisses over it, those silky brown hair would tempt you to run your fingers through them. The sight of those pink lips will make your lips tingle unless they are smashed......

But no matter how good he looked, he would always scare me. He is a monster, he terrifies me.

I realised that I was sleeping with him on his bed. I shouldn't be here. He strictly warned me not to sleep on the bed. 'You lost the right', were his exact words.

But then again he himself asked me to lay down beside him last night. I shouldn't be scared right?

'He probably is just playing with you. Maybe he just wants a reason to punish you', the woman inside my head reasoned. She was naked now, showing me all the scars on her body whilst tracing the brand above her breast.

I knew what she meant and my body instantly started shaking due to fear. I should get up before he does.

Wiggling in his arm I slowly try to get up, being careful not to wake him up. But the position I was in made it impossible for me to move. "Tell them we are busy now. We will have lunch with them later", he states and turn me over to unzip the dress.

His moments were fast and harsh. He was determined to finish what he....... Or rather I started.

"I am damn sure that the kid who fucked you earlier was not able to show you what pure pleasure is. I'll take you to the point he would have never been able to take you. I'll show you what pure bliss means, Adria", his voice held a promise which was enough to have me dripping.

We were stopped by another knock.

"What the fuck is wrong with you", Austin yelled.

"Austin!", Damon's angry voice came from the other side of the door. "First know whom you are talking with then open your fucking mouth"

Austin jumped from above me and now stood beside the bed scratching the back of his head.

"I am sorry dad", he said.

"I want you two down at the breakfast table within 10 minutes. Your mother cooked it for you. Don't upset her". He ordered.

"Yes dad. I am sorry", within seconds he was dressed in his sweat pants and a t-shirt.

I stared at him in awe. Seeing this man like this, listening to someones orders was somethig new and unexpected.

"Get ready fast. I will use another bathroom. Your clothes are in the closet. Be quick, I don't want to upset my mom", he said and bending down he kissed my forehead and left the room.

I kept gaping at his sudden affection. What the actual fuck! Why was he behaving like this? I mean why is he playing with my emotions?

I know he feels nothing but hatred towards me so why is he acting like he cares!

Keeping aside the thoughts I got up from the bed. I was still hot and bothered because the steamy moment we shared few minutes earlier.

Walking in the bathroom I first brushed my teeth and scrubbed myself with the the scrubber. Washed my body with the lavender shower gel and stepped under the cold water to calm my nerves.

I made it quick not wanting to face Austin's warth. I knew the affection he was showing was just a game to mess with my mind.

I walked into the walk-in closet and selected a plain baby pink colour, halter neck, knee length dress. It was simple and elegant. I let my hair fall down on both of my shoulders so as to hide the bursies. Applying minimal amount of makeup and pairing the dress with white heels I walked out of the room.

"Good morning, Adria", Charlie was the first one to smile at me.

"Good morning", I whispered lowly and gave her a slight smile.

"Good morning", the voice made the smile fly away from my face.

Damon was looking at me, a soft smile on his face. If I hadn't seen his true self yesterday I would have believed that his smile was genuine.

"Go.. Good morning", I greeted looking down at the floor.

"Adria come sit here", Austin tapped to the chair beside him and like a puppy I just walked beside him and took a seat.

"You are looking cute", Austin whispered in my ear making me blush.

"Thanks", I said without looking at him.

Soon Augustus too joined us for the breakfast. The rest of the meal went well. All the time Charlie scolding Austin with his eating habits, Damon sweet talking with his wife so that he could get another cookie to eat, which Charlie just ignored. Augustus tried to speak about business with Austin but got scolded by Charlie.

Everyone was happy except me. The family time reminded me of my dad. I missed him so much. I don't even know how and where he is. All I know is that he is hurt.

"Why are you crying dear", Charlie was looking at me with a worried expression on her face.

"It.. It's nothing", I replied. "Something just went into my eyes"

"I know.....", she was stopped by Damon again.

"Adria, child I am seriously sorry for my behaviour last night. I just misjudged you. I am sorry for whatever I said yesterday", Damon's voice held the sincerity which told that he was truly sorry but than again the man was good in manipulating people.

"It's.. It's ok", the fear in my voice was still clear and he sensed it easily.

"Adria dear I know you don't trust him now but I assure you Damon is truly sorry. I can't say anything about my son but I assure you that my husband won't mean any harm to you since now", her words were something I truly believed. I smiled at Damon and he gave it back to me.

The smile he held on his face now was different from the one he had yesterday. It was true and filled with fatherly affection.

There it comes again the memory of my dad. His jolly face flashing in front of my eyes.

"I..", a sob escaped my lips. "I miss my dad", I cried like a pathetic woman and Austin pulled me into his embrace.

"Hey, be quite. Don't cry", unlike any other time this was not a command, instead they were just soothing words. I couldn't believe he was the same person who was the prime reason behind my vulnerable state.

"I was going to tell you that day but couldn't. Your father's health is making progress, he will be fine soon. I will take you to him than", he spoke whilst stroking my back.

"Now eat", now this was a command. Straightening myself I started eating again. But my appetite was long gone.

"Aussie, I am going to join you in the office today. Your mother wishes some time alone with Adria", Damon says.

"Yes, I would love to have some girls time with her. I can't wait to try new dishes with her", Charlie exclaimed happily.

But I gulped again. Cooking, the one art which I could never learn.

My dad and Connor knew I was a disaster in kitchen.

But Austin's next words stopped the world around me.

"I am sorry mama, she can't. I have arranged a dinner date for us".
