Chapter 17

ADRIA'S POV:

My heart was pounding in the ribcage and I won't be surprised if it just jumped out. I was so scared right now.

Austin opened the Limo's door for me and I stepped in followed by him. It was more luxurious than I could ever imagine. I started studying the interior of the car with awe but got distracted when a strong arm snaked around my waist and pulled me towards a rock hard chest. I gasped at his sudden action.

"You have no idea how beautiful you are looking right now", Austin whispered huskily in my ears, whilst moving a few strands away from my face. I closed my eyes not wanting to look at his devilishly handsome face.

"Look at me baby, please", the last word shocked me and my eyes flew open. I was staring at him in utter confusion. If I tell anyone that Austin Hawk just used the word 'please', they won't just laugh at my face but also do the favour of calling the mental hospital and get me admitted immediately. And if I tell the doctors the same thing they won't wait for a second to give me shock therapy.

After realising that he just used the forbidden word, the word which a powerful and ruthless man like him should never use he was shocked himself. Austin cleared his throat and shook his head.

"You look amazing, just like an angel", saying that he dipped his head for a kiss.

Back in the bedroom, he wanted to kiss me but I closed my eyes shut and flinched back which made his mood change from sweet to bitter in a second. He was angry. And right now the last thing I want is Austin to get angry.

God knows where he is taking me. I don't want to die a painful death at some deserted place where my body would be left as a meal for crows and vultures.

I gulped at the thought. He won't kill me, right? I don't even want this question to be answered.

Moving my hand I rested it on his shoulder and moved closer to him. His soft lips landed on mine. The kiss was nothing like we shared before. This was soft and caring. He licked my lips and I immediately parted them giving him a chance to enter his tongue.

Austin let out an animalistic groan and held my waist tightly. He picked me up and made me settle on his lap. God! I probably resemble like a kid sitting on his lap. He is so fucking big.

The kiss instantly changed from a soft one to a rough, demanding kiss.

The crazy frog's song echoed in the limousine and I jumped from his lap. But when my eyes landed on the source I burst out into laughter.

Austin's iPhone was ringing loudly and the look on Austin's face was priceless. I was laughing so hard but stopped when got a dead glare from Satan.

Did you just call him Satan again?. Do you want to get into trouble again? My subconscious remained me.

Austin murmured something about killing Augustus before picking up the call. He was barking at whoever the person was on the other side but soon calmed down and started speaking in some language I don't have any idea of.

I scooted back in the seat and started looking outside the window.

It's been quite a time since I have been outside the mansion. The road we were driving on was so silent and beautiful. There was greenery everywhere. It was dark but the trees shining in the moonlight was one of the best sites to see.

I kept staring outside the window for god knows how much time.

"As much as I am loving seeing u like this, we still have to get down as we arrived", Austin's soft voice fell on my ears and I found him looking at me.

"Let's go", he smiled at me and for a few seconds I was stunned. He can smile. He can fucking smile. Not a sadistic or evil one but a genuine smile.

We stepped down from the car and for the nth time tonight, I gasped again. The scene in front of me was breathtaking.

There was a beautiful two-storey wooden house. An aisle made of round stones leads to the house. To the left was a traditional wooden swing.

"There is a river", I exclaimed turning to look at Austin. My lips were stretched into a wide grin and my eyes wide open. I always wanted to swim in river water. Maybe I will get a chance here.

Austin chuckled and bent his head down before looking at me again. "Yes Adria, it's a river. You like it?"

"I love it!", I jumped clapping my hands. Everything here was so beautiful. I have never seen such a scene in my life.

"Let's have dinner. I am hungry", Austin smiled again and walked us towards the table.

Austin pulled the chair for me and I smiled/blushed. He too sat in front of me and soon two women came carrying a trolley. The food was served and it looked so tempting.

I was going to dig in but stopped immediately. Do not eat unless I allow you. His words echoed in my mind and I moved back in my chair and was looking at my fingers now.

How could I forget all the torture he did to me. How could I behave like an idiot falling for his act? He is just acting. He can never be nice.

"Adria eat", unlike other times his voice was soft and... And... It felt as if he regrets his actions after seeing me like this.

He is just acting Adria. He is playing with you. He loves to see you in pain and is searching for a chance to punish you.

The lady in my head stated and I couldn't help but agree with her.

"Adria eat", now this was a command.

The first bite of roasted chicken made me let out a loud moan. It was delicious. I closed my eyes and took my time chewing the food, enjoying the flavours dancing over my tongue.

When I opened my eyes I found Austin staring at me. His eyes fixed on my lips and his Adam's apple bobbed as he gulped.

"Sorry", I mumbled quietly and started eating again. I should not angry him while eating. Don't want to be left starving again for days.

"Do you like the food?", he asked and I just nodded my head.

After that, we ate in silence, an awkward one. I kept stealing glances towards Austin and would always find him staring at me. I got nervous with every passing second. My hands were shaking.

At last, the dessert was served. Chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream. How did he know I loved it. It's my favourite. The feeling when we have the hot brownie and cold vanilla ice cream together in our mouth can never be matched by anything else.

Without thinking I just dug in and within a minute my plate was empty. Yummm.

A soft, husky and very sexy chuckle fell on my ears and I blushed at my childishness.

"Sor.."

"Don't be. I just enjoyed looking at you. You are so cute Adria", he says making me blush even more. I have been called cute many times but coming from him, I don't know why I feel butterflies in my stomach.

"Thank you", I whispered again. I can never get the confidence around him. And I should better stay like this.

"Do you want to anything else?", Austin asked. I noticed that he didn't have his food properly even the brownie is barely eaten.

"Let's go in then. It's getting cold over here", he states making me frown. Where is he planning to take me now?

"Come", Austin wad now standing beside me, his hand stretched out waiting for me. I did as he wanted. Austin's had was now resting over my lower back and he started walking us towards the house

What is he planning to do? Who is in the house? Are we going to be alone? Wh.. What will he do with me?

Lots of questions crossed my mind and I started getting nervous with every step.

"Are you cold? You are shaking", Austin was looking at me, concerned.

What the hell is wrong with him? Why is he acting like this? He has caused me so much pain and now he is concerned about me getting cold! What is he about to? Is he finally regretting his actions?

No, it can't be. He is heartless, Satan. He won't ever regret his actions. He is just playing with my emotions. He must have got bored hurting me physically now he wants to hurt me emotionally.

"Wh.. Why are we going there?", I asked finally gathering some courage. His cold black eyes met mine and I froze. He looked handsome yet scary. The way he was looking into my eyes, seemed as if he was looking into my soul.

"Let's go in", again it was an order but I was too scared to even move. I was literally frozen.

"Adria I said let's go. You very well now that I don't like to repeat myself. I am trying hard to make this night special please don't ruin it", Each word was spoken calmly yet dangerously.

And I was there again. The fear of getting hurt, the fear of being starved, the fear of facing the pain again. The fear that made me follow his orders like a dog.

Austin opened the door and my eyes were blessed with another beautiful site. The interior was what we could call traditional. Wooden sofa set in the middle of the living area, to the right was an open kitchen. A small passage to the opposite side, leading to two wooden doors. Spiral wooden stairs leading to the above floor. A perfect house to live in and relax. NO work, no distraction, just relaxation.

"Let's go in", we walked in and Austin asked me to sit on the sofa, he sat beside me.

"You were locked in the mansion for many days. I thought you would be happy if I take you out", Austin whispers.

"Wha...", I screamed when he suddenly took my legs and settled them on his lap.

"Just relax", He said looking at me. I had no other choice but do what he says.

Austin removed my heels and kept them aside. I felt his fingers massaging my toes. It was soothing.

"I know you were struggling with those heels. You don't wear them often?", he asks and I shake my head and answer his question.

"Well, that's strange. Why don't you like wearing heels", he asked.

"I was never comfortable with them. I preferred shoes", I replied still not looking in his eyes.

"Mrs Gomes", Austin calls out and within few seconds a middle aged woman is standing in front of me.

The woman keeps a pair of black fluffy sandals in front of me.

"Wear them", Austin says. I mumble a thank you to the lady to which she just smiles.

"I hope the room is ready?", Austin asked her.

"Yes sir, just the way you asked", she answered.

'You may go now", and with that, the lady left.

"Let's go", intertwining our fingers Austin lead us towards the spiral stairs. We went upstairs and walked into a room.

The room was nice. Nothing extraordinary. It was smaller than that of rooms back in the mansion but looked more appealing.

"Come here", Austin was standing beside a door which I guess lead to the bathroom.

Well, now I can't say it ordinary. There was a huge bath tub filled with hot water and rose petals. The whole bathroom was decorated with scented candles. The mere sight was so tempting.

"I am not good with such stuff Adria. Mom suggested me this. You can enjoy your paradise. I will wait outside......... unless you want me to be here and help you", he said the last sentence smirking.

"I can help myself", I said and walked in closing the door behind me.

"God! this is heaven", I whispered and was about the strip but stopped. I made sure that the door is locked and I have a towel here. I found a towel on a small table and a night dress beside it. It was a white top and pink shorts. There was also pink colour cotton underwear.

I took off my clothes and stepped into the hot water. Oh my god!. This feels so nice. The water even smells of rose and is soothing in some way. I just let my body rest.

After about half an hour and when the water started cooling, I stepped out of it. I felt relaxed. I dried myself and wore the clothes that were kept on the table. They fit nicely and were comfortable.

I stepped out of the bathroom and found Austin relaxed, resting on the headboard of the bed. His arms were crossed over his head and....... he was just wearing just his boxers.

"Enjoying the view sweety", Austin said making me jump and blush embarrassment.

"I was..I was just.."

"No need baby. Come here"

I hesitated but walked towards him. What is he up to now?

Then it hit me. Maybe he is being nice to me just because of he... he wants me to submit him. He wants me to warm his bed. Is all this just his trick to stop any chances of me protesting.

"Adria", he whispered again. I gulped and walked towards him.

Austin gave me a soft smile and tapped the space beside him. I sat there, my head bent low. I was about to cry. I don't know why is doing this. Somewhere I was thinking he started being nice to me. But here we are back to the shit again. He just wants my body.

"Sleep", Austin ordered and I obeyed. I laid beside him and waited for his next move. But he did nothing. Just like the other night back in the mansion, he pulled me towards him, resting his face in the crook of my neck, he inhaled sharply. I felt him smile and within a few minutes he was snoring.

He didn't do anything.

HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING.

Maybe he is really changing.
