Chapter 155 - Such A Good Relationship
“You’re so annoying. Even I get tired of beating people up,” said Ling Chuxi.
Feeling annoyed, she drank a mouthful of tea and turned her face away from Lan Xinyu. She was still coming forward to voluntarily take a beating. What a wacko!
Lan Xinyu spoke rapidly, practically not even stopping to take a breath, “I’m not annoying. Once you teach me this move, I’ll leave you alone.”
“Not free,” said Ling Chuxi lazily, sprawled on the table. “How many times have you said the same thing? Who would believe you!”
Ling Chuxi had already used this move to beat Lan Xinyu so many times, but she still could not understand it. How stupid! The last time Ling Chuxi had beaten her up, Lan Xinyu had said the same thing—that she would stop annoying her once she taught her the move. But in the end, here Lan Xinyu was, still annoying Ling Chuxi. Not keeping her word… how annoying!
“Heyhey, Ling Chuxi, the tournament is tomorrow. Your family is still lacking a person right? What about me?” asked Lan Xinyu, pointing at her nose as she offered herself up.
“Is your surname Ling?” replied Ling Chuxi bluntly.
At the moment, the Ling family’s representatives for the tournament were herself and Ling Yichen. They were indeed a person short. No matter how she searched, their clan just did not seem to have a single person whom she felt was suitable. If they really couldn’t find anyone, then she would just pick someone at random to meet the quota, and leave the fighting to herself and Ling Yichen.
“You can make me your god sister. Then I’ll be someone from the Ling family and can help you win the tournamet!” said Lan Xinyu excitedly.
“You? My god sister?” Ling Chuxi raised her head as she sized up Lan Xinyu from head to toe in disdain. Then, the corner of her lips twitched and she laid back down indifferently.
“Ling Chuxi, you actually look down on me!” The way Ling Chuxi looked at Lan Xinyu with disdain had ruffled her feathers. With a shout, she attacked Ling Chuxi.
“Indeed, I do look down on you. So what? Not satisfied? I’ll beat you till you roll all over the floor!” shouted Ling Chuxi as she immediately stood up and blocked Lan Xinyu’s attack.
The two of them start to fight in the courtyard.
At this moment, Aunt Wang came out of the house carrying some snacks and saw them fighting. Their fight was so intense that sand was flying all over the courtyard and the stones had all been moved from their original spots.
She looked on with a smile and said, “Awww, Miss and Xinyu have such a good relationship.”
Ling Yichen, who had been silently watching from the side, heard Aunt Wang’s words and the corner of his lips started twitching.
‘Please, Aunt Wang, which of your eyes saw that these two have a good relationship? See, even Lan Xinyu’s other eye is bruised now. And there’s a clear shoe print on Ling Chuxi’s clothes. They’re fighting to this extent and you still think that they have a good relationship?’
The two of them finally finished fighting.
Panting slightly, Ling Chuxi let Aunt Wang bring her a basin of water to wash her hands. From the corner of her eye, she looked at Lan Xinyu washing her hands next to her. She looked dishevelled. Her hair was in a mess and both corners of her eyes were bruised.
Out of nowhere, Ling Chuxi suddenly burst out, “What you said can be considered.”
Lan Xinyu gave a short laugh. “Then call me elder sister!”
What she got in reply was Ling Chuxi’s fist!
“Do you believe that I will smack you to a wall and you would be unable to get off it?” sneered Ling Chuxi, taking her first back.
Lan Xinyu held her own head as she blinked her eyes. Having her head knocked by Ling Chuxi did not hurt. Instead, it felt very delicate.
Wiping her hand and taking a snack, Ling Chuxi looked at Ling Yichen. “We have enough participants for the tournament now. Later, speak to the first elder and get him to simply choose a name for her. Ling Cat, Ling Pig, whatever works.”
He nodded expressionlessly in reply.
Lan Xinyu quietly sat down and ate her snacks. She didn’t know why, but her feelings were somewhat complicated.
Previously, her grandfather had privately instructed her to build a good relationship with Ling Chuxi. She had made an effort to follow his instructions, and that was why she made such a request just now. However, why was it that she now felt that even if her grandfather had not asked her to, getting along with Ling Chuxi like this was really good?
