“Consort Mother, was I as bad as you described me to be?” asked the fifth princess in protest from where she was listening by the side and pouted.

“It really was the case,” said Consort Li with a smile. “Go and take a look if your Imperial Father is here yet. He had said that he would be coming over.”

“All right,” said the fifth princess as she reluctantly put down the cup of tea in her hands and looked at Ling Chuxi. “Master, wait for me here. I will return very soon. My Consort Mother is a very good person, so you don’t have to be too mindful.”

The fifth princess only left after Ling Chuxi nodded at her.

After the fifth princess left, Consort Li instructed all the servant girls to be dismissed and then looked at Ling Chuxi with a serious expression. “Miss Ling Chuxi.”
