Without thinking further, the small sword which was hidden in the hilt of her sword flew out. A white light flashed and blocked Lan Xinyu’s golden whip from making its intended strike.

A cacophony of voices filled the arena. But when the sound of the ancient scriptures E Shulan was reciting could be heard upon the wind, it made people feel at peace.

An odd qi started to emit from E Shulan. Although her Battle Qi remained at Level 8, but its energy seemed to have condensed incredibly. The sword once again attacked and within the dazzling gleam of its blade, there was an additional chill to it.

“Be careful!” Ling Chuxi shouted to caution Lan Xinyu. Lan Xinyu had just been promoted to the Level 8 and she was not very familiar with her usage of her Battle Qi at this level yet. Furthermore, E Shulan’s Battle Qi had become much more potent after she recited the Heart Refining Mantra.

Lan Xinyu did not dare to be careless as she immediately summoned her Level 3 Battle Wolf and tried her best to gather her Battle Qi at the same time as she waved her golden whip around to defend herself against the oncoming attacks.
