Chapter 378 - Baili Han’s Perseverance

The envoy kept shouting but Baili Han had a grim expression. His gaze was firm and he did not admit defeat.

Duan Qingchou laughed mockingly. “Baili, hurry up and admit defeat like a dog so you can still have a life.”

Baili Han did not say a word but he looked even more determined.

Ling Chuxi saw Baili Han’s expression and understood what was going through his mind. He wanted to continue the match so Ling Chuxi could figure out the oddity of Duan Qingchou’s Battle Qi. Only by finding its flaw would she be given the chance to defeat Duan Qingchou. But…

Ling Chuxi looked at Baili Han’s current situation and felt anxious. The price was too huge to pay.

“We admit defeat, we admit defeat!” The envoy was still shouting.

Duan Qingchou sneered. “What you said doesn’t count. He is not admitting defeat yet.”

Baili Han roared angrily and held his sword, then struck out at Duan Qingchou. His stance was steady and resolute.

“Hmph. You have no care of your own life!” Duan Qingchou shot Baili Han a venomous look, a murderous aura emanating from his sword.

Baili Han swung his sword back to protect himself, his actions even slower than before. His simple sword that held a quiet majesty looked as solid as a rock.

Unfortunately, Duan Qingchou’s swordsmanship was even swifter and fiercer. Every move of his targeted vital points on Baili Han’s body. The Battle Qi on his sword was also becoming more powerful and a piercing sound filled the arena.

Baili Han was suddenly engulfed by Battle Qi so thick that even the crowd below the arena could feel its overwhelming pressure. Baili Han’s actions became slower, and the sword in his hand seemed to be getting heavier.

At the next second, Duan Qingchou’s sword pierced a few parts of Baili Han’s body, leaving deep wounds. Fresh blood dripped onto the ground, leaving strange red patterns there. His face became even paler, but his gaze was still as steady and persistent as before. The long sword in his hand was slowly drawn back to protect the vital points on his body.

Naturally, Ling Chuxi understood his actions. At that moment, Baili Han’s movements had become slower – they were all defensive stances. He wanted her to figure out the secret of Duan Qingchou’s Battle Qi.

Baili Han was forced to retreat a few steps, his chest cut so deeply that the white of his bones could almost be seen. Baili Han was sent flying and landed heavily on the side of the fighting ring. The ground beneath his body was soon covered in blood.
