Moaning
I have no idea where we’re going. Sibal won’t say anything and I don’t want to text Aciel just for that. I just wore casual coordinates. A high waist jeans and a cropped ribbed tank top, I paired it with white sneakers which are new clothing for me. I usually don’t mind the clothes that I wear but since Aciel bought me lots of clothes might as well use it.
”Where is he, Sibal?” I asked him because I’m so bored.
”At the Evans’ ma’am.”
I pouted and nodded. We’re going to his company? Actually I don’t know how I would be after days that I avoided him. Did he even forget what happened? Cause to be honest I’m still so embarrassed.
”This way ma’am.” Sibal paved the way to the entrance.
I can’t help but feel anxious about entering his building. Some eyes were on me and the guards greeted me at the entrance. Gladly, Sibal was there to guide me and I felt like I had someone with me.
We entered the elevator with only the two of us. I was about to ask Sibal why he didn’t let the people enter the lift but we already arrived at the floor he pressed. All I can do is to follow Sibal like a kitten. Everything was so new to me. Seeing serious and formal people makes me nervous. Especially that everyone seems to put their curiosity in me.
We passed by a ‘lobby type’ space at the floor and the women there were all smiling. I smiled raw and I felt rushed because Sibal is guiding me while talking to someone over his earpiece.
The whole place is looking so bright and glassy. The lights and natural lights are reflecting to the tiled walls. It’s a place that makes me feel intimidated. Unlike the hotel’s lobby and any other hotels, this one seems a whole new word to me.
”Mr. Evans is still talking to a client. You must wait here.” Sibal told me.
I nodded and sat on the white couch. Behind me is the glass wall that is overlooking. You can see the view of the city. My eyes are literally on a voyage. My eyes didn't have the time to rest.
”Where’s he?” I asked Sibal.
He glanced at me seriously. “At his office.”
”Where?”
Before he could even answer me I saw a man walking out of the door that’s located at the center of the floor. The tall, lean and serious Elijah walked straight to my direction while Sibal said something again to his earpiece and before I knew it, he’s gone.
I pursed my lips when Aciel’s in front of me. His eyes scanned me from head to toe before he wrapped his arms on my waist and guided me.
”Come here,”
I didn’t say anything and just proceeded to come with him. All eyes were on us while we walked through his office. I thanked the goddess when we entered his office because people’s attention is making me so uncomfortable.
”People are gawking at you.” He whispered to me.
I busied myself from scanning his office while he said something.
”I’m not yet done. It’s better to wait here than outside." He guided me to the couch just beside the bookshelves.
I saw an old man staring at us, I avoided his gaze and just silently obeyed. I spent the whole time scanning through my phone, playing this game that Lulu had suggested. Those candies that you have to pair with each other to win.
I whimpered a little when I pressed the wrong candy. I realized what I just did so my eyes quickly went into their direction. Aciel’s dark brooding eyes are on me. I bit my lip and went back to playing.But that didn’t stop there. I again pressed a bomb making me moan in frustration.
My attention was snatched because of Aciel’s sudden move. He stood up so harshly that even the man in front of him got a bit stunned.
”I think we’ll have to continue this tomorrow.” he said to the man.
”O-oh, alright Mr. Anderson. Sure.” The man laughed fake.
Because I thought they were done I stopped playing the game as well. I watched them bid their formal goodbyes with each other. As soon as the man left, Aciel came into me looking so damn frustrated.
”What’s with the moaning, Alia?”
My brows furrowed. “H-huh? Moaning?”
He pinched the bridge of his nose while his other hand was in his pocket. After seconds he spoke.
”This is not it. I don’t want to argue with you today when I’m planning to make it up with you.” he said.
”Huh?” I got more confused.
He didn’t answer me and dragged me to his table. He made me sit into his chair and he leaned into his table, standing there.
”It seems like those days gave you some time to invent things that will test my patience huh?”
I stared at him confused and annoyed. He’s right about the part that I want to annoy him but I don’t understand what he’s saying.
”I have no idea what you’re talking about.” I uttered.
He licked his lips and sighed after. “Sure.”
I rolled my eyes on him. I just looked at the view from his glass walled office.
”I missed that.” he touched my chin.
I cleared my throat and shrugged his hand. He chuckled.
”So what is my purpose here?” I asked with a monotone voice. “You asked Sibal to pick me up just for this? To sit on your chair and tell me that you miss me rolling my eyes at you?” I raised a brow.
He clenched his jaw and stood properly. “No, we’re going somewhere.”
After some minutes of fixing things on his table and some reminders that he talked to his secretary. We left his building. The attention of people became more evident now that he’s with me. Plus he’s holding my hand in front of the faces of these people.
At the entrance of the building are the two cars parked. Sibal, standing on the other one and Ros on the other. Ros understood Aciel’s without any words. He handed the key to Aciel.
I watch his building get smaller while he drives away from it. I didn’t bother to open any conversation. I’m silent the whole time while I feel him glance at me from time to time.
My attention just lightened when I saw a view of things from a far. I gasp when I realized that we’re going to a theme park. My mouth dropped and I became so active while seeing some of the massive rides from outside.
”We’re going here?” I looked at him. I’ve never been into a theme park before!
He bit his lips and I saw a ghost of a smile while he maneuvered his car to a parking spot. I became so excited that I didn’t even notice that he’s out of the car and opened the door beside me.
He’s holding a gray jacket which he gave me. “I only have this in my car. Wear this.”
While still feeling thrilled, I didn’t say anything and just wore it. It’s oversized when I’m the one wearing it.
”Why are we here?” I asked him.
His eyes are on the jacket. He fixed it while I looked up to him.
”Hugh suggested this shit, but…” he whispered something but I wasn’t able to hear it well because of the loud music. I only heard curses.
”I don’t go to places like this.” he said when he’s finally done fixing the jacket. He slid his fingers into mine making it clasp together.
”But I had it so bad with you so I hope this will do.” he said not meeting my eyes.
I don’t know why a smile showed on my face. I wasn’t able to stop the joy I’m feeling inside. Is it because of the theme park? Or seeing his shy face that’s telling me the reason why we’re here.
I bit my lip trying to stop my smile. He finally looked at me, maybe because I didn’t say anything.
”I’m sorry. I hope to make it up with you.” he said.
My heart thumped in chaos. I nodded and avoided his gaze, feeling an unfamiliar emotion inside me.
