Sold for a Lifetime

They both turned their attention to me. The chill began to spread down my spine.

My father yelled, "Alia!"

But I didn't have that in mind. I couldn't help but stare into the man's cold, deep eyes. He has a loose tie around his neck and is dressed in a white dress shirt. He wears a sparkling watch, and his black shoes are well-polished. He was clearly out of place. He felt our cramped, dirty home was insufficient for him.

My father walked up to me and said, "My daughter is here, sir. Come here, Alia."

And if he hadn't grabbed my arm, I wouldn't have taken my gaze away from the man in the living room. I gulped and blinked like I just woke up in a deep thought.

"Where did you go, huh?" Father whispered to me.

I felt the tightness of his grip. I whimpered lightly because of that.

"I-I…"

I had nothing to say. It was not part of my plans. I expected him to be asleep when I went home, but here he is. I bit my lip as the pain increased.

He continued to tighten his hold on my frail arm, saying, "I'll beat you later."

"Alberto," the man replied.

We both looked over at him. My father let go of my hand. My focus has returned to him. He has neatly styled hair and is wearing a serious expression as he searches. I shivered despite the fact that he didn't even turn to face us.

My dad can only mutter, "S-sir, uh..." All he seemed to want was to be of good service to this man.

My eyes nailed into the man reigning the whole place. He’s sitting, but he’s screaming dignity and power. Does he own that dashing car outside? Who is he?

My father has never in my life brought a man in here without a reason, so I must be the one. And this man right here will undoubtedly be one of those men. However, he seems unique.

My fist clenched. As I raise myself, my pupils begin to tremble. My dad laughed incoherently. He is fidgeting and appears to be unsure of what to do.

"Here’s my daughter. I’m sorry, she went outside and— "

"Stop with the crap. I want the deal to be sealed now. I don’t have much time for you," he uttered.

I gasp. I am correct. I'm not sure if I should be grateful that he's here and that my father didn't beat me after knowing that I sneak outside. The growing unrest began to creep into my thoughts. I felt as though I was unable to move.

No. Please, not today, not now.

"Y-yes! Of course, sir! "

A crooked smile spread across my father's face as he laughed. He gave me a look. His teeth were like the keys of a piano.

He hissed at me, "Alia, get over here."

I remained standing where I was. The man there was the only reason my knees were trembling. He is truly remarkable. He is different in some way.

"Alia! "My father called once more, but I remained still.

I felt compelled to follow, but I was paralyzed by fear as the man's deep brown eyes bore into me, his thick brows in a straight line, and his deep, brooding eyes nearly tore me apart.

"Fuck! Come here!"

I wouldn't have gotten up from my seat if my dad hadn't yanked me back. I dropped the book and was led into the living room to sit down in front of him. As I met his eyes, I gulped. His eyes briefly rested on my arms before moving back to my eyes once more after scanning me from my foot to my head. I took my gaze away from him. I was unable to look at him.

He is screaming an enigma from somewhere inside. I knelt down and continued to cast spells. When I imagined him looking at me with his eyes closed, my throat became dry. His scent is all over the place. His aroma is so potent and manly that I fear it might linger in this space for a very long time.

"So, Mr.Evans, here she is. "My father began.

I mentally uttered, "Anderson."

"How much?" he asked.

I raised my head to take another look at him. Even though I knew that was really his goal in this situation, I don't know why I was surprised.

"U-uhm…"

My father's confusion could be heard. He must be both anxious and enthusiastic about this. A wealthy-looking man came here for some abuse sessions.

When I thought about it, my heart sank. Evilness doesn’t suit his good-looking face. However, I suppose this is how the world operates. Evil doesn't choose its tabernacle.

My father laid the blame: "The biggest offer she had was 500 dollars, and that was for two nights."

He’s lying. Three hundred dollars for a week was the biggest offer I ever received. I still recall the man who took advantage of me for a week. He brought me to his house and repeatedly abused me there.

Disgusted, the man said, "Five hundred?"

My gaze was fixed on him. As he turns to look at my father before turning back to me, his eyes are filled with rage and disgust. I have a huge lump in my throat.

He glared at me, his jaw moving harshly. His fist balled up in my view. As he did that, veins protruded and became more apparent. I turned to face him again, but I remained emotionless.

What makes him seem so furious? Does he find 300 dollars to be too much for him? Isn't he wealthy? Why does it seem like he's not happy with the price, he heard, with his watch and car that scream luxury?

"Yes, five hundred! For two nights, that is! You can even bring her to your home." My father negotiated. He tapped my shoulders.

"Right, Emma? And for sure, she will improve his performance for those two nights.

"Bullshit," he said.

My breathing appears to have stopped. I noticed that he was tightly closing his eyes and lowering his head, as if he was finding my father's words difficult to hear.

"I'm sorry, but that's all we can offer you, young man," my father laughed, then hysterically laughed.

My entire focus was on him, and I was simply observing him as though he were a puzzle I was unable to solve. Like, is he hurt? I'm not sure. I don't believe I'm particularly adept at handling emotions. I shouldn't have started with me.

"You can just leave if..."

"Twenty million."

When he spoke once more, it jolted me out of my reverie like a slap. When I heard him, I thought my hearing had gone. But when my father started talking, I was able to answer myself.

"W-what?"

"I'll buy her for twenty million, twenty million."

"Hahahahahaha!"

The only sound in the house was my father's shaky laughter, and I felt as though my soul had left me. My father lit a cigarette and took a puff while feeling anxious. His hands were trembling, and he was having trouble lighting the cigarette, which I noticed in the corners of my eye.

Twenty million? For how many months then, Mr. Evans? " My father’s amused and excited tone.

I know, I understand my father. Twenty million? Who wastes money for pleasure? How evil is he, huh?

He delayed his response. He and I both just kept staring at each other for a few seconds. He looked at me, his lips reaching for an evil grin.

He said, "Lifetime."

When he spoke, I felt something heavy on my chest. My initial thought was, ‘No! No! No, that can’t be! Lifetime?

"L-lifetime?" My father asked.

"Yes. Lifetime," he confirmed.

At what he said, my entire world appeared to fall apart. My hands, which were on my thigh, caught my attention. Only then did I realize that they were trembling for an unknown reason.

"T-that's... " my father laughed nervously. "I didn't expect that, sir."

I begged my father not to give his approval as I beheld him. I'm hoping he'll notice the plea in my eyes and refuse to give me to this man. I can't stand the thought of being bought by a complete stranger and forced to live the rest of my life as his sexual slave!

If my father sells me to this man for the rest of my life, it doesn't matter how many times he does it. because I already have everything planned! I am prepared to flee! Why does he always have to come here and offer his dime?

"Why Alberto? Twenty million isn’t enough?" His deep, evil voice hammered into my brain.

I would have completed it if I could have just run. My father was unable to communicate verbally. He glanced at me, then back to the Evans he was calling.

"Fifty million then."

My mouth dropped, and my eyes went to him so fast.

"Fifty million!?" My father couldn’t believe it as much as I did.

As I continued to look at him, tears began to form in my eyes. Anger is all I can feel. I'm certain there was emotion. He is so wicked. I would do it if I could hurt him and yell at him to get out of here. But he is staring at me with malignant eyes, and all I can do is act like a stone.

"Yes. Fifty million dollars, Alberto. And I want her in this lifetime. "
