Chapter 18

I'm currently having coffee because I just woke up because of my headache, I forced myself to stand up.  I'm the only one here because Grace left early.  I held my phone and scrolled through Facebook with someone to message me on messenger.

Morning, you woke up?

I thought first before typing because since I started working as a singer at his RestoBar we have become close to each other even though sometimes I am still misunderstood because of the way he treats me.  My six-month contract went even further until it reached three years.

Typing ...

Morning too, my head hurts.  I drink coffee  😊

I answered and turned to look at the door because I heard as if someone was opening it.  Looks like she's already there, Grace.  I waited for it to open and Grace did come in and her smiling face appeared on me.

"By the way, are you awake in the morning?"  It said after approaching me once sitting next to me.

"I have a headache so I just got up."  I just answered and my messenger rang again.

"Who's that? Is that Boss? You ah, I feel different from you two."  Its teasing language and she brewed coffee.

"You know what? Then I can't have a relationship because I'm not free yet."  My answer is serious because I have already told Grace about my past and having a bad marriage.  Even Vincent my boss knew him already but I didn’t tell them his name, Kobe.

"I know but of course can you stop it from throbbing?"  It's a snout in my heart.  "You can love again and then when you're ready, you can file your husband's annulment yourself. Isn't that just hurting you? Oh, that's why maybe you still love him?"

I stopped typing to answer Vincent’s message because of the last thing Grace said.  I haven't had a relationship since three years ago.

"What are you saying?"  My answer raised an eyebrow and she just laughed, I have no intention of answering that.

"Of course I'll tell you something about my walk earlier, do you know that it was like I was at a dish earlier when I saw a very handsome man."  It is a smile story.

"It's obvious and your eyes just need to form a heart."  I laughed and turned my attention back to my chat and forgot what I was going to answer to Vincent so I looked at his message again.

Ok, just rest.  Don't come in if you can't.

Typing ...

Ok, boss thank you so much!  😊

I sent my reply and it didn't reply again, that's how it will message me.

"You know the strength of his look too much and I think the of his position in the company I went to. Because he was wearing nice clothes, I hope to see him again, then he spoke badly as if my knee was soft."

I laughed at his reactions because there were so many work because she's older siblings and parents depended on her.

"You know you'll meet again and maybe he's your dream man,"  I answered smiling.

"Hopefully, when I see him I'll make a way to know his name."  It says happily.

"The boss will have a guest later, his friends, so there are only a limited number of people who reserve a table,"  I told her.

"Yes, I heard from brother Mike last night, now I just found out that the boss has a friend."  At once it laughed.

We suddenly laughed because Vincent was quiet and always seemed serious in life.

"I'll sleep first the pain in my foot I'll walk."  She spoke and sipped his coffee.

All right, rest, you're as busy as life is. "I answered and suddenly my phone rang. Nicko made a video call. Yes, until now I've been talking to him but only until then because I remained silent wherever I was. Talking and he sees me once but he doesn't know where I am. But I rarely answer his call because I don't want to talk to him. After all, I just remember something.

"Why don't you answer? Is that Nicko?"  Grace asked because she knew about it too.

"Ha? Yes, but I'm not in the mood to answer."  I just answered and I planned to cancel her call but Grace took my phone.

"I'll answer that fafa Nicko is also handsome, you're lucky you have Nicko and Vincent."  Laughing it says.

I just let her go and continued sipping coffee.

"Good morning Nicko."  Grace smiled and waved.  "This is Camilla, I'm sorry."  She said more and turned the phone to me.

I saw Nicko as if he was in the car because he was sitting and I saw a window.

"Where are you?"  I have a serious question.

"Out of town."  It answered and turned its phone around.

"Oh my gosh, Nicko is on the airplane. I hope everyone can get on the plane."  Grace said sadly and laughed, Nicko.

"Take care."  I just told him to nod, I looked down because until now I was confused when he just looked at me.

"Hey, let's talk, you're just teasing me, I hope I see the handsome man again so I can have him too."  Grace stood up awkwardly and handed the phone to me.

"Did you eat already?"  Nicko asked.

I leaned the phone on my glass first and sat up and combed my messy hair.

"I haven't had coffee yet, have you?"  I just answered while looking at what he was doing because he seemed to be typing, he had a laptop in front of him.

"Did you eat already."  He just answered.

"I'll eat later. I'll sleep again,"  I answered and turned in the other direction so I couldn't see Nicko's eye.

"Ok, you'll always be careful."  He said seriously and stared at me.

"O-ok."  I stammered in response.

"I'll call you later."  He said it again and signaled goodbye, the video call was over.

I just quietly looked at my phone and I finished my coffee and got up to force myself to sleep again.

"I'll be ahead of you Camilla."  Goodbye, Grace.

I just finished taking a bath at nine o'clock last night.

"Okay, please just let me know that if I'm late but I already texted the boss,"  I answered before Grace came out of the door, she nodded and went out.

I got dressed right away and just adjusted myself, I fitted jeans with a perforated design.  Sleeveless black v-cat front, I covered with a black blazer that was just soft.  For a moment I just adjusted myself and let my slightly wet hair fall over my shoulders.

I went out and made sure the door was locked before I left, coming to the corner I hailed a taxi.  I didn't have a hard time getting a taxi because someone passed by in a few minutes.

It's still a bit of traffic so I texted Grace that I might be too lazy to just tell the boss.  I never looked at my phone again while on the trip.

I hurriedly walked when I got out of the taxi, I went straight to the back where we who work here were passing.  When I got there my other colleagues were busy and they greeted me all including the band.

"Camilla, you'll be fine later, our boss has a big-time guest."  Brother Andrew said to the drummer.

I nodded and went to my locker, Grace came in looking excited.

"Camilla! My gosh! There he is."  Confused it says.

"Grace, calm down ok?"  I laughed and the bands laughed.

"What's the matter, what you said came true that we might meet again and he's here now!"  It screamed at the same time and shook my shoulder.

"I thought what happened, you look like you won the lottery ah?"  I said with a smile.

"That's how I felt, especially when he talked to me when he asked me for alcohol. It's like my heart is losing its excitement."  Her story was hilarious.

I just laughed at her and didn't answer, she came out and just shook me.  The strength of her right there with the man she says, did they meet again?  The great one.  I thought and adjusted myself because I was about to start singing, I took a deep breath first because I was suddenly nervous now.

The band went to the stage and I waited for the signal for me to go up.

"Good evening to all of you. I hope you enjoy tonight. Especially with our boss who has a guest today, you can request a song and we will sing as much as we can."  One of the vocalists, Josh Aracilla, said with a laugh.

I went upstairs and sat down on the chair, still bent over and looking at myself to see if I was wearing it properly.  When I looked up I saw other people here waiting, I rolled my eyes and looked for where their boss was, I immediately saw Vincent and I was suddenly stunned.

I heard that the intro of the songs I'm going to sing tonight has begun.  But I didn't seem to want to open my mouth and I seemed to stiffen in my seat.

My mind said and I also saw the registration on his face that was shocked to see me.  He suddenly stood up so I also stood up and went down the stage.
