###Chapter 172 An Innocent Mother Like Her
###Chapter 172 An Innocent Mother Like Her
"Hey, you."
"Sorry, I have something to do this afternoon, so I won't keep talking to you."
I was not a good person. Besides, there was no sure way to judge whether a person is good or bad.
Everyone's life has always been different from one another. I could only suffer by myself. Others' sufferings and hardships were not my business.
After exiting Alice's office, I went directly to Aaron's office.
He sat in the boss's chair and looked idle.
When he saw me, he picked his eyebrow and said, "What are you talking about with her?"
"Personal relationships." I got on the sofa and drank a few mouthfuls of water before I finally calmed my fidgety heart.
He smirked with the corner of his mouth. "She convinced you?"
Looking up at him, I said, "You think I'm that easy to convince?"
He tilted his mouth in a teasing manner. "It's hard to say!"
After a pause, he added, "Well, you love Jordan very much, so you can give up any time. Are you not afraid of regret?"
I was not angry and gave him a blank look. "Through which eyes do you see that I still love him?"
He shrugged his shoulders, stood up, and said, "Would you push yourself this far if you don't love him?"
When he came to me, he shuffled some papers and said, "This is the information of the two men from that night. If you really want to find out, I will continue to do it for you."
He gave me the document. I was shocked and annoyed. I opened the document and read its content. The depths of my heart seemed to be torn open at any time.
Looking at the files about the two men, I could not help but asked, "Both of them have wives and children. Do you think they would not have been so cruel if they had experienced the loss of a child?"
He folded his lips. His eyes fell on my cold and angry face, and sighed slightly, "What do you want to do?"
After staring at the file for a long time, I put the file away and said, "Keep looking. I have nothing against them. I won't hurt me because they can't see me."
He nodded and paused. "Jordan seems to be looking into it, too!"
I sneered, "After all, the child is half his blood. If he wants to check, it is perfectly expected."
"Let's go! What would you like to eat?" He took the car keys.
I got up. I didn't know what to eat for a moment so I just said, "Whatever!"
When I got into the elevator, it was just me and him. He said, "Are you willing to gamble with Samson Electronics because you want to take part in Badgers, just to deal with the Biden family?"
I looked at him and smiled. "Oh, so you can see that? Are you going to stop me?"
He frowned. "The Biden family is not as simple as we think. If Erin is very troublesome, then Andrew is even more troublesome."
I nodded, but still stubbornly, "So what's wrong with that? I'm still not settled!"
Knowing that no matter how much he said won't change anything, he decided to just keep quiet.
When I got out of the company and went inside the car, he didn't ask me what I wanted to eat, so he started the car directly.
Aaron was always the one who chose where we ate. The car was parked downstairs at a French restaurant. I looked up at him and said, "You can write a food review for this restaurant. A lot of people will certainly like it too."
He hooked his lips and raised his eyebrows. "Are you sure it's delicious? Even before you eat it?"
I nodded, "This place is lowkey and has a beautiful environment. If someone hadn't specifically looked for it, we wouldn't have found such a place at all. Generally speaking, businesses opening shops in such places are not short of money but are led by passionate bosses. If I guess correctly, the chef here must be the boss."
He smiled, locked the car, and said, "You guess it right!"
As I followed him into the yard, he said hello to the waiter and then took me to the second floor. This place was not large. The small yard was full of flowers and plants and looked extremely artistic. I liked how very quiet it was.
When ordering, he ordered directly without asking me. In general, I liked whatever he ordered because it has a distinct characteristic.
I once thought that Aaron's future girlfriend would definitely be spoiled.
This man was really good at taking care of people.
Handing the menu to the waiter, he said, "Give us a cup of milkshake, less sugar!"
"Yes sir! Just a moment, please."
When the waiter left, I looked at him while rubbing my chin and said, "You will have a daughter in the future."
He was stupefied and said with a smile, "How do you know?"
I nodded, satisfied. "You are so good at taking care of people that you look like a playboy with many lovers in your previous life."
"Oh!" He laughed. "Since when do you read people?"
"Always have!" The corner of my eyes swept to see the three people who had just come up. I couldn't help keeping my mouth shut.
Noticing my movements, Aaron also looked sideways past me. He saw that it was Nicole Blakeley, Erin, and Liam Weld. He frowned at me and asked, "Do you know them all?"
I nodded and looked back, my expression a little bleak.
When Liam saw me, his face's expression went obviously out of control. He walked directly to our seat and grabbed my hand. His voice was a little excited. "Where have you been these days?"
I frowned and freed my hand. "I hid to have a baby! Where else can I go?"
He wrung his eyebrows. "So where's the baby?"
"He's dead." With that, I got a little upset and looked at Aaron.
Aaron got up and pulled him aside, looked at him, and said, "Sir, we are still eating. It seems that she is very busy now. Why don't you find a chance to chat with her when she is finished?"
Liam twisted his eyebrow, his face a little cold, and looked at me and said, "When did you get so close to him?"
I laughed, "Since when do you care so much?"
Erin and Nicole came over together, with a light and gentle smile on their faces. Nicole's eyes fell on my stomach and said, "It is enviable for Miss Ivelle to stay in such good shape after giving birth."
I clenched my lips and pressed down my heart angrily, saying, "Erin can always pray that Miss Nicole will be like me after birth. Oh, by the way, I have paid better attention to the process of giving birth, and I can pass it on to Miss Nicole anytime soon. As long as she does it, she can recover well after giving birth."
Nicole didn't know what it meant, and it was a little baffling, but Erin knew what I meant. Her expression turned grim after hearing this.
The exquisite and elegant face showed a bit of coldness, and Nicole stood protected behind him. She said coldly, "No, not everyone has the blessing of Miss Ivelle. Almost everything is fate. Not everything is determined by people's choices. We are glad that our life together is good. I will give my best to live the life that I want."
There really was a mother as innocent as her!
I smiled. "I hope Miss Lu's life will always be better. I hope that the day when life is worse than death never comes."
"Of course not!" With that, Erin took Nicole's arm and left. Aaron looked at Liam and said, "It seems that there is no need to talk to Ms. Ivelle anymore."
Liam was not stupid. He naturally heard something, took a look at Erin, and said, "Then do not disturb Erin and Nicole!"
As soon as Erin and Nicole left, Liam sat next to me and asked me why she suddenly disappeared for two months.
