###Chapter 178 Lucky Foreshadowing – Part 1
After so many years, had it not been for Andrew's persistence and his daughter who had been lost, the wealth accumulated by Erin over the years had been reluctantly accepted by the Biden family.
Nicole could finally rise to the social hierarchy by her blood. It was predestined by fate and no one could stop it.
Aaron and I set our schedule. He looked at me and said, "At six o'clock in the evening, I'll pick you up an hour early and take you to try on your dress and makeup."
I nodded. I could not be seen wearing my own makeup and clothes because I would seem hypocritical, and I would naturally make Aaron worry.
It was still early. When I got home, I was so bored that I called Maisie.
Unfortunately, she didn't answer. It had been three months since she gave birth. If she took postpartum therapy, she should be finished by now. Why did she always turn off her phone?
Helplessly, I called Jon. Back then, Jon's phone would always ring for a long time before I can get through. He seemed a little busy. "Ivelle, I'm taking care of the baby. What are you doing?"
I couldn't help being shocked when I heard him said that. A big man with a baby seemed to be very difficult to imagine.
"Are you still in the countryside with Maisie?" I asked him and leaned against the sofa, feeling a little lazy.
It took a short while before he said, "Well, what about you? How are you these days? Are you all right?"
I nodded, "Well, I'll be back in Hempstead by the end of the year. Do you have any plans to come to Hempstead for the spring? Or are you going to stay in the countryside all the time?"
"It's not clear yet! Nothing's decided" He seemed a little busy, and I couldn't help asking, "Where's Maisie? Is her cell phone broken? How come she hasn't been answering her phone? I've been calling her several times these days, but I couldn't get through."
"Well, she's very busy. Actually, I'm busy too. I'll get in touch with you when I am free." With that, he hung up the phone abruptly
I paused and said nothing more.
We arrived at Stanley Hotel, a globally-known five-star hotel.
Aaron parked his car at the door of the hotel. He got out of the car, walked gracefully to the copilot. An usher opened the door for me and led me out of the car.
The tail of the sapphire blue dress was too long. When I got out of the car, I couldn't help looking at him and said, "To be honest, this is the first time I have worn a dress with such a long tail. I'm so worried that I'll fall later."
He smiled. "Then you'll have to stay behind me for a while. I won't let you fall."
Apart from this, I didn't seem to know if there was any other good way.
Shrugging at Aaron, I entered the hotel with him. At the magnificent entrance, beside the two Roman pillars, I had stood with him to greet the distinguished guests.
One of them was Andrea Farro.
It had been a long time without seeing her and she seemed to be older than before. Today she was wearing a burgundy dress, wearing an ink-black shawl, and emanating an elegant aura in the atmosphere.
Most elderly women rely on the accumulated temperament of time and years, and what the years leave to women is the charm and tenderness in their aura.
"Ah Aaron, there you are. After a while, all the guests should be here. Your grandfather and grandmother are also here. Hurry in and say hello and come out to greet all the relatives later." Andrea told her son while approaching us.
With that, her eyes fell on me, and smiled. "Which family is this young lady from? She is beautiful and classy. But I have never seen her before."
I was shocked. I saw that she strangely looked at me, but for a moment I had no idea how to react. I couldn't help looking at Aaron.
Aaron laughed, "Mom, you have seen her before. She is Ivelle."
Andrea was left speechless. She took a look at my stomach, took a moment to process it, and said, "So it's you!" She frowned and looked at Aaron. "Aaron, what are you doing?"
Aaron planned his words and said, "Mom, you said that no matter who I brought here today, I get to have my own choice and you would respect it, right?"
Parents always made endless compromises in front of their children. Hayley Farro hated Alice very much and didn't like the Astley family at all.
But now I can put up was the daughter-in-law of Jordan's family for Aaron.
With a slight sigh, she looked at me and frowned, "Just stay out of trouble, please."
Aaron smiled and took me into the hotel lobby.
There were not many people in the hall. There were cakes and drinks on both sides. The two old men of the Farro family were chatting with the newly arrived guests in the courtyard.
Aaron pulled me forward to greet them, and both of them were really overjoyed. Perhaps they had not seen their grandson for a long time, that's why they were very happy.
The old man, who was nearly a hundred years old, seemed to be in high spirits.
"Aaron, the girl you have come to take with you is a real prize. What kind of girl is she?" Zachary Farro said as his pair of cloudy eyes fell on me.
Aaron pulled me forward and said with a smile, "Grandpa, she is the project director of my company. She came here with me today."
"It turned out to be a girl in the company since you are not too old. It's time to think about your whole life, and don't put it off." It was Aaron's grandmother, Sofie Mackenzie.
Aaron nodded repeatedly and looked at the two old folks and said, "Grandma and Grandpa, I will accompany my mother to greet the guests. Please let Ivelle accompany you to talk."
The two of them nodded and motioned for him to go do his work.
As soon as Aaron left, Grandma Sofia pulled me to her side, sat down, and said, "How old is the young woman this year?"
I smiled, "I'm twenty-six years old!"
"Are you married?" The old woman's concern for the younger generation seemed to remain the same all over the world. I smiled and said, "I'm done with my marriage, Grandma."
She was stupefied. She glanced at Grandpa Zachary and said with a smile, "Ah that boy Aaron, the older he is, the more elusive he becomes."
Grandpa Zachary smiled, looked at me, and said, "Tell me, what's your personality?"
I smiled and replied politely, "I believe that I am a humble and polite lady."
The old man nodded thoughtfully, "That's a good characteristic. Aaron's smart."
I laughed, "You are flattering me."
His muddy eyes brightened slightly and said, "Aaron has the heart to let us get to know you, so it was a thoughtful gesture. People can seldom see his heart."
"You old man, what are you talking about?" Grandma Sofia opened her mouth solemnly. "Only you understand everything, and you can see through everything."
Grandpa Zachary smiled and said, "There are certain things for the younger generation. If we see through them or not, don't we want to miss them?"
Granny Sofia snorted, "Only you understand!"
Although the dialogue between the two old people was difficult to understand, it was really interesting. They were nearly a hundred years old, and their children were happy, but their spouses could still curse and laugh. It was a great blessing in life.
In this life, how many people could get to the achievement of these two old people? Most couples nowadays get separated halfway and forget their past together for the rest of their lives.
I didn't understand why Aaron asked me to follow the two old people. Only in hindsight did I realize that every guest who attended had to come to greet the two oldest people in the party.
During the greetings, there would naturally be small talk, and in that chat, some people would naturally wonder who I am by the side of the two people. Grandma Sofia and Grandpa Zachary would obviously introduce me and so on.
Soon, I learned about almost everyone who came to visit.
The men were dignified and the women were gentle and graceful. Despite this, they could still afford to be talented and handsome.
Andrew came with Erin. The two middle-aged people who have passed half a hundred were extremely well maintained.
