###Chapter 180 Lucky Foreshadowing – Part 3
Erin smiled and grabbed my hand. "There is a sitting area outside the hotel. Let's go!"
I followed her to the back of the hotel, where there was an open-air sitting area. She sat down gracefully and motioned to me to sit down beside her and talk.
I sat opposite her instead and asked the waiter for a cup of boiled water, while she asked for a cup of coffee without sugar.
I lowered my eyes and glared at her.
She was in no hurry. She waited until the coffee was delivered and took a shallow sip. "Miss Ivelle, you never seem to touch your coffee?"
I nodded. "It tastes bitter, so I can't get used to it."
She smiled and drank again, maybe it was too bitter.
She frowned slightly. "It's also a blessing that you don't like bitterness." Her eyes fell on me and he smiled. "To be honest, you were so much like me when I was young. If I hadn't checked the DNA, myself, I would have thought you were my daughter."
I smiled lightly and gave her a cold look. "It takes several lifetimes of luck to be the daughter of Orion. I really don't think that I don't deserve it!"
The smile on her face faded. She narrowed her eyes, and then took a long breath. "Thirty years ago, when I was just 20, I knew from an ordinary childhood that if I wanted to live the life I wanted, I had to work really hard and endure hardship. At the age of 23, I had just graduated from college. It was probably the luckiest thing in my life to be recognized by him in a sea of people. He was reserved, elegant, a gentleman, and the dream lover of almost all women. Fortunately, he and I were able to appreciate each other and love each other."
I just looked at her quietly and had no intention of interrupting. She asked the waiter to refill her glass and continued, "At the age of 24, he and I have both looked forward to countless kinds of future life. I have even imagined the life of marrying him in the future. It is beautiful and worth looking forward to, but the reality is cruel. Very few children from ordinary families can be quietly admired by all people. Only the kind of child who has been under the nobility of the famous family for a long time can have an innate sense of superiority and grace in their bones. That child will surely shine in the crowd. "
She looked at me with some contempt. "The nobility in your bones can be seldom seen among people because it comes from the blood."
I couldn't help frowning, but I just suppressed my disappointment and listened to her quietly.
She leaned back slightly. "Because of my difference in family background, I was disliked and bullied by the Biden family, and I had to be arrogant to stand my ground. In a fit of anger, I left Andrew and wanted to break out into a world on my own. The year I left the capital, I secretly swore that I, Erin, would stand in the position where the Biden family looked up to me one day."
At this point, she could not help laughing at herself. "But fate is ridiculous. I didn't expect that after I left the capital, I found that I was pregnant. I left angrily. My pride did not allow me to go back to Andrew, but after all, I was still. I became a young mother when I got pregnant for the first time. I was reluctant to abort the child, but I did not have the ability to raise her by myself. In my hesitation, my belly got bigger and bigger, and finally, I had to give birth to her. I wanted to find a man who could give my whole life, but how could a man ever be interested in a lowly woman? After giving birth, I went abroad by myself."
Seeing the transformations of life on her face, I could not help but fold my eyebrows slightly. In this lifetime, this woman was indeed too ambitious.
After a pause, she continued, "Do you know how difficult it is for a woman in her twenties to live abroad? It's like walking on the tip of a knife. I can't sleep at night. I miss my child every day, but I can't go back no matter what. I think I'll pick her up when I finally save enough money and have a stable life, but I've been doing so for ten years. When I went back to Primrose to find her, she had already been lost by that abominable man. It was the child I raised with half my life! "
Seeing the fog in her eyes, my eyes drooped and my heart ached slightly. However, even I could not save my own child with all of my power. I couldn't help sneering at her. "So? Is this an excuse that you can hurt others at will?"
She shook her head and stabilized her mood and said, "Sixteen years, I have been looking for Nicole for sixteen years. In these sixteen years of doing so, I have been expecting her day and night to live well and successfully. In order to find her, even if I marry, I am not willing to have children with others. I was only willing to be a stepmother. For so many years, I only wanted to atone for my sins, and now that I finally found her, I want her to stay with me. As a mother, you can say that I am selfish and vicious. I admit it. As long as I gladly want, I will do whatever it takes to fight for her. I swore that I would for her for the rest of my life."
I sneered, "Your love for your daughter is the main pursuit of your life. Why is it rare for others to love their own children?"
"It's none of my business." She looked at me and raised her voice. "Ivelle, you could have chosen. If you had chosen not to have that child right from the beginning and left Jordan, it wouldn't have happened so brutally in the end. I gave you a choice, didn't I?"
I really wanted to laugh, but I couldn't. There were really people in this world who can brazenly say that their selfishness is genuine and free from vulgarity.
"Erin, you are a woman who has experienced great winds and waves. You can speak so freely about your heinous crimes. If you have the blood of my children on your hands, are you not afraid of retribution for your own grandson?" I was not a kind person. I didn't care even if my revenge would involve hurting innocent children.
It was impossible to do the so-called righteous act out of gratitude when I was filled with hatred and disgust.
Her face darkened and her expression looked nervous. "Ivelle, don't think that if you use Orion for protection, you can do anything with me. To put it bluntly, you will always remain an outsider. If I want to kill you, what can you do about me?"
She laughed.
What an arrogant thing to say!
"My life has always been worthless. You can always take it if you want it. As long as you have the ability, you can do whatever you want. It was really not a big deal for me to ask for Uncle Orion's assistance, but I'm only doing this just because you killed Jordan's child. Remember, I have connections with the Badger family, and now I just added the Woods. Oh, by the way, I forgot to tell you, I have a brother Liam. You know, if these people add up, do you think it's possible to escape the consequences of killing me?"
"You." Erin turned pale.
"Where do you actually come from to have that much confidence? How can you have the ability to influence so many people when you speak so arrogantly?"
Andrew did not know when he came out. He went to Erin, sat down, raised his eyebrows and looked at me, and said, "Orion was not thinking well when he adopted you. Miss Ivelle, do you really think you have the ability to shake the Biden family on your own?"
Things have already begun, anyway. There was no longer a need to hide. "I have to try my best, of course. I have always lived a bad life until now. Yet in the end, the worst thing that has ever happened to me was still finding my child in the grave."
