###Chapter 25 Medicinal Garden
###Chapter 25 Medicinal Garden
"That's your solution?" He suddenly asked, his voice was cold and his black eyes were staring at her.
"Hmm!" Ivelle made up her mind. From the very beginning, there was already a reason for her to resign and to leave Hempstead.
Jordan's tall and straight body stood in front of her with an unknown sneer. Jordan leaned slightly towards her.
"The divorce agreement has been signed and now I am ready to quit my job. What are you up to?"
When Ivelle said this, her palms were sweaty and she felt uneasy. She instinctively retreated but Jordan fiercely held her by the waist. His pair of black eyes looked at her coldly, "Why do you want to leave Hempstead?"
"No!" Ivelle quickly denied it, she looked at him and said, "Haven't you always wanted me to sign the divorce agreement? Now that I've signed it, you and Nicole can finally get married. What's wrong with that?"
He smiled colder and the arms around her waist held her more tightly. "Ivelle, you know I hate it when others make their own decisions without consulting me. Do you think I would let go so easily?"
"I know that you don't want to have that child." Ivelle frowned. For her, it was becoming more and more impossible to understand him. "If you force me to fight, I might as well go by myself!"
The air became quiet and Jordan narrowed his eyes dangerously. Ivelle had a feeling that what was standing in front of her was a fierce leopard who had been angered. If she was not careful, he would bite her and tear her to pieces.
"How clever you are!"
Ivelle didn't know what he meant but it was definitely not a compliment.
"Ivelle, put away your cleverness first, since you aborted the child, we are going to have another one!"
After he said those words, he left coldly, and she froze in place. She didn't understand what he meant by those words. If he was someone else's husband, his words seemed like it was soothing her but he was not, absolutely not.
"Don't you want to go?" He looked back, his handsome face was slightly frowning and his voice was a little cold.
Ivelle didn't know what else to do, so she just trotted behind him.
Out of the company, Jordan took her into an Italian restaurant. When they entered the courtyard, a welcoming host in a peach dress came out. The host looked at Jordan and said with a smile, "This way please, Mr. Astley!"
Then, the host took her and Jordan across the yard and into a room. As soon as she entered, Ivelle saw Brad and Kian were inside. They seemed to be chatting.
After seeing them off, the host retreated. Jordan sat down in the chair beside them and asked faintly, "Why don't you order?"
"Chef Coleman will take a while to make soup for us!" With that, Brad looked at Ivelle and asked, "Are you hungry?"
Ivelle was stupefied and then she shook her head.
When he heard Brad's words, Kian thought that Brad's caring attitude towards Ivelle was not pleasing to hear. It made him feel out of breath. "He specially asked Chef Coleman to cook soup for you. He is an international-class chef. It was a waste!"
Brad wanted to stop him from talking. Ivelle smiled and said, "The scenery is good here. I'll go for a walk!"
These words were for Jordan and Brad.
Jordan gave her a faint look but he said nothing more. Brad said, "The scenery outside the yard is good. You can take a look around. There is also a garden next to it. There is a pond inside and there is a lot of fish in it."
Ivelle smiled and said thank you. She then came out.
"Brad, are you out of your mind? Why do you care so much about this woman? there's something wrong with you. If she hadn't married Jordan, Nicole and Jordan would have been happy. "
Kian was so loud that she couldn't help but to hear it even if she didn't want to. It was so loud that everyone in the yard heard it.
She did not want to continue hearing these words so Ivelle walked fast out of the yard, she did see different scenery.
Hempstead's exquisite location, this large courtyard was located in the city center. Everyone could only imagine how luxurious it was. Outside the yard, there was such a large area that was suitable to grow flowers. Ivelle thought that the owner of this restaurant was not short of money.
As she was walking on the stone path, Ivelle saw a man of about 35 years old with a child. The child was breaking green branches in the yard.
When he saw her walking in, he stopped his movements and greeted her, "Hello!"
Ivelle smiled back, "Hello!"
The child with him looked like a child who has just learned how to walk. When the child saw her, he ran towards her. He was a familiar child.
Because he was not able to speak, he handed her the little yellow flower in his hand with his eyes wide open.
For a moment, Ivelle felt very happy and she wanted to pick him up but she was stopped by the man. "You're pregnant and he's naughty, I'm worried!"
Ivelle was stupefied and she looked at the man in surprise. How could he tell she was pregnant?
He said conveniently, "Don't be surprised. I know a little bit about medicine. Seeing your face and your unconscious protection of your lower abdomen when you were walking just now, I think you must be pregnant."
Ivelle nodded. She admired this man.
"The scenery in this yard is very special." Ivelle opened her mouth and said, "It's kind of like a vegetable garden!"
The man laughed and said, "To be exact, this is a medicine garden. There are more than 2000 kinds of medicinal materials here. Some of them are on the verge of extinction and are all cultivated here."
Ivelle was stupefied, she carefully observed. Indeed, there were not many places with vegetables and there was a lot of unknown vegetation that was present at that place. There was also a tall cactus.
"It was originally called a medicine garden. Hempstead is the place with the most comfortable climate in the country and the best place for the cultivation of vegetation. That is why it has become the concentration of medicinal materials in the country. The number is small, but the varieties are preserved." The man sorted out the green branches that were broken and after talking to her, he was ready to take the child and leave.
Ivelle watched him pull the child away without looking.
After a few steps, the man suddenly stopped and looked at her. He said, "Mrs. Astley, don't stay here too long. Some medicine is bad for the baby!"
Ivelle froze and looked at him as he and the child walked away. Did he know her?
Before long, Jordan found her and he saw her squatting by the stream and looking at the ants. He stood beside her and coldly said, "Let's go!"
Ivelle was fascinated, but she suddenly made a sound and almost slipped. He had quick eyes and hands and he immediately lifted her.
Brad frowned slightly and asked, "What are you thinking about?"
Ivelle looked at him smiled and said awkwardly, "My mind is wandering!"
Without saying much, he turned and left.
Ivelle always felt that Jordan in the past two days seemed to be a little different to her as if he was not so cold.
Following him, Ivelle plucked up her courage and said, "Isn't this medicine garden the place to eat?"
"Hmm!" He opened his mouth with no intention of talking more.
