###Chapter 363 Me After I Met You – Part 7
"I'll hang up for now," Jordan spoke in a low voice.
Ivelle stood behind him while looking at his broad back. She was vaguely aching in her heart. She thought she had been relieved and healed over the past four years. But she did not expect that it was just the same pain that was buried within her.
Sensing someone was behind him, he looked back. His handsome face was stained with sadness and pain.
For a moment, he was always as warm and moist as jade. Looking at me, he smiled, "You are awake. Are you hungry?"
She just shook her head and walked slowly up to him. She leaned her whole body in his arms as if looking for a sense of security from him and said, "Jordan, I'm fine."
She was really okay. She just could not control her emotions once in a while. He hugged her and patted her on the back as if to coax a child. He said, "Well, I know. A good rest will be fine and everything will be all right again."
The quarrel between Jordan and Alice was unexpected. He, who did not go to the company for a few days, left everything to Kian Hastings. Ivelle was not in the hall when Alice came. The aunt and nephew were just talking but somehow, they suddenly quarreled.
She did not plan to participate nor meddle with them but when she heard something, she could not help but check it out of the bedroom.
Alice shouted with a little hoarse in her voice, "She will destroy you! There are a lot of women of the aristocracy in the capital, and all of them are top-notch so why do you have to choose her? You and Aaron fought openly and secretly for so many years instead of you could have helped each other, reached allies, and moved to a better pinnacle. Why should you fight each other just because of a woman? And just because of her!"
"Because I love her!" That sentence came from Jordan. He was straightforward when he said this. Because he had his back facing against Ivelle, she could not see his mood and expression clearly. But only those three words were enough to make her stunned for a long time. In seven years, she had never heard Jordan say that he loved her.
That was the first time.
Jordan had a low voice and spoke to Alice with a determined voice, "In our relationship, she doesn't have to have me, but I can't live without her! Even if she really becomes a madman who doesn't know anything, I'll still be there for her. As long as she stays by my side, I'll take care of her no matter what!"
Alice shook her head in disbelief.
Jordan's mood was light and his voice was low as he spoke, "You don't know how shining she looked like when I met her, and how sweet her smile was when she married me. For seven years, I single-handedly made her from a bright girl to this look. Anyone can be qualified to ignore her, but I can't."
"You are unbelievably hopeless!" Alice was a little furious. "Have you ever thought about what to do with your child when you let such a person around? She is already severe, she could not control her emotions. Once she gets sick, what do you think she will do with your child? If you were not careful, you will lose two lives."
Jordan did not care. "She and I won't have children anymore. The registered permanent residence of Blossom falls under my name. She is now my daughter."
"But she doesn't have even the slightest spot of your blood nor has your own flesh!"
"What's the difference?" Jordan said with emphasis and continued, "I can't have a baby anymore. One child is enough. Blossom is enough!"
Alice almost did not mention it in one breath. She looked at him and said, "Jordan, are you crazy? You are the only heir in the Astley family. Your grandfather was already in heaven and can you even stand up before him?"
Jordan did not say what he was supposed to say because when he got up, he already saw her standing on the stairs.
The originally gloomy face gradually changed into a warm color, and their eyes met each other. With warmth, he raised his hand and waved to me. He said in a gentle voice, "Come here, Ivelle!"
She just stood there for a moment and looked at him while feeling a slight pain in her heart.
Alice's face was gloomy and was almost filled with hatred. Seeing Jordan pulling her, she spoke with suppressed anger. "Ivelle, do you have to haunt him like this to destroy him? You can go back to the Weld family but why do you have to haunt him? Do you know how Astley has been going through these days when you appeared? Now, here you are with all the rumors flying about you. Do you know why Jordan is quite so busy?"
"That's enough!" Jordan refused to let her say, but nothing could stop her. Ivelle looked at Alice and said in a shallow voice, "Everything you say!"
She sneered and almost disdainful when she said, "Badger took away several contracts that had already been signed with Astley. In just one month, Astley's stock market almost hit rock bottom. He can bear anything for you. Why are you so selfish by haunting him over and over again? Blossom is the child of the Silverman family. You didn't even the one who gave birth to her! Why are you letting Jordan inexplicably become a laughing point in the eyes of others? In order to compete with the Silverman family for Blossom, what he has to pay is a brotherhood and the prestige and reputation he has accumulated in the capital over the years. Ivelle, do you really want to slowly destroy him?"
Ivelle shook her head and tried to control her emotions. Her tears were almost falling down to her cheeks but she managed to hold them together. She did not want to destroy him. Holding Jordan's hand, she trembled a little. Jordan looked at Alice and said in a shrill voice, "Get out!"
Deterred by his sudden fury, Alice was stupefied for a moment and subconsciously stepped back a few steps. After gaining her sense, she then picked up her bag and left.
Her body trembled a little. It was obviously late autumn, but she kept sweating. Jordan hugged her and hushed her in a low and tolerant voice, "Ivelle, don't listen to her. Astley won't have any problems because of you and neither will I. You are my wife, justifiably, and no one can change that nor interfere with us. As long as you are by my side, everything I have is indestructible. Trust me, okay?"
Ivelle nodded but her body was still trembling. How did this happen?
For a long time, she relaxed down a bit, but his body was still in his arms and she curled up into him like a shrimp. She wanted to surround herself severely. Only in this way could there be enough sense of security. She tightly clung to his chest and her voice was a little hoarse as she said, "Jordan, I may not remember anything one day. It's not worth it to be guarded as a madman."
She was more afraid than anyone else. One day, if she did not remember anyone in her memory and lose the ability to take care of herself, if she really got to that point, she might as well die ahead of time. At least in his memory, she would not have the appearance that she had become a madman.
Jordan put his arms around her hand and tightened his grasp. His voice was as gentle and steady as ever. He said, "No, Ivelle. I will accompany you and I will not let Blossom leave you no matter what. We will be fine."
Those words, as if he was comforting himself but also comforting me. She had been thinking, she seemed to have really become a burden to him.
Looking up at him and bumping into his deep and bottomless eyes, she felt pain in her heart. "No, I was wrong in the first place. I should not have married you; I was responsible for our child and Maisie's death. No matter how hard I tried to bury them, there was no way. You can get rid of Nicole, but I can't get rid of Aaron. What you owe Nicole is a commitment, and what I owe Aaron is my life. Unless I die, he won't let go. I could not pay it off for the rest of my life, Jordan. Maybe, we should split up."
