###Chapter 370 Stumbles Along – Part 3
I called out a reminder, "Blossom, remember to drink water."
"Yes, Mom!" While answering me, the little girl's eyes were still attached to the cartoon.
I could see that she took it very seriously.
When I quit watching over her, I couldn't help looking at Jordan, who was sitting at his desk dealing with his work.
He was still very serious. I picked up the book I had not finished reading from the cradle, went to him, and went back to the page I had stopped before.
He smiled and said in a gentle voice, "Are you hungry?"
I shook my head, leaned my head on his shoulder, and read the book with my arms wrapped around his neck.
"What would you like to eat later?" He stopped his movements and his arm fell behind me, making it easier for me to lean on.
I thought about it very carefully and found that I really didn't want to eat anything. I couldn't help tilting my head as I looked at him and said, "There doesn't seem to be anything I want to eat."
"Okay, so we cook at home?"
I nodded with a smile on my face. "But you have to be the one to cook."
By comparison, my cooking was not as good as his.
"Of course!"
With that, I continued to read my book. He looked at the book in my hand and smiled, "When did you buy the book? Isn't it about the overbearing president? "
Closing the book, I read the title. It was 'Overbearing President Falls In Love With Me'. I could not help but look at him giggling, "It's the book that Maisy bought before when I still lived in the Victory apartment. I looked at it and it seemed funny, so I took it with me."
He laughed. "Is it really good?"
I thought about it and nodded. "It's okay." After a pause, I said, "I just feel that other people's presidents seem to be quite busy, so why do they have so much time to take the hostess around the world?"
After I met Jordan, almost all the time, he was busy. He had endless talks, endless contracts, and endless errands.
He seemed to hear the complaint in my words, and he smiled. "Why don't I accompany you and start traveling around the world?"
I shook my head. "I don't agree. If you don't work and no one makes money, I'll have to be the one to make money."
In my four years in Primrose, we had a lot of bills to pay. Even though we earned a lot of money, there were savings to maintain. However, if I worked from nine to five and I still want to provide for the family, it would not be so simple anymore.
He laughed. "Our savings over the years will be enough for you to eat and live for the rest of your life. If you are worried about this, you might as well worry about whether you can spend all this money."
He's kind of arrogant, but it made him even more attractive.
The day had been safe and comfortable as if it was a dream. The more the day went on, the more I liked the idea of spending time with the two of them every afternoon quietly.
The weekend ended in a bit of a hurry because of the beauty of it.
Jordan didn't have much rest time available, and one day of it was already a luxury.
With that, Blossom and I were left by ourselves. Later on, Blossom will go to her training class, and in the end, I will be the only one left.
Frida called and said that she wanted to go shopping. It was relatively cold in late autumn in the capital, and I really didn't want to go out.
But now that I am at home all the time, it seemed easy to lose my mood right away. So I might as well make an appointment with her to meet downstairs at the mall.
I didn't drive, so I took a taxi. By the time I arrived, Frida had already arrived. She had a cake in her hand. It seemed that she had bought two.
When she saw me, she shoved one cake into my hand and said with a smile, "Why don't you ever dress up? Today, let's go shopping just to be happy. Let's dress ourselves up a little bit. With your appearance, the eyes of passersby will surely fall off."
I smiled. "It's easy to get into unnecessary trouble." This is true. Selena Monroe had been exposed several times. If I tried to look a little better, it was inevitable that people would pay attention to me, which was not good.
She seemed to be aware of it, nodded, but did not say any more.
People come and go to the mall. They all seemed lively and noisy as they loitered around, and I did not like it very much. Apparently, staying alone for a long time made me feel nervous under the hustle and bustle of things.
They all appeared to be in a hurry, which gave me anxiety.
Meanwhile, Frida had a cheerful temperament. Along the way to the store jewelry, she went inside different kinds of stores. She bought whatever she liked, and she always looked happy like a child.
Like Maisie, the two of them could be easily happy and excited once they ate delicious food and bought things they liked.
Some people said that only similar people with similar attitudes could be friends. Ever since I was young, Maisie had been my best friend. That's when I realized that all types of people will come together even if they have very different personalities, as long as they liked each other
But it's strange and inexplicable why Frida and I became friends. It was probably a bit of surprise to them also.
Seeing me in a daze, Frida touched me with her cold hands and asked, "Is it really so hard for you to pick a necklace? Why are you in a daze?"
I looked at the two necklaces tangled in her hand and casually said, "Both are good-looking. I can take both."
After saying this, I didn't even react to it myself, but she said, "Damn it, Ivelle, this is the first time I have felt the arrogance of a rich wife in you. I always thought you were just a meek woman. Jordan made enough money that you can buy all these accessories and clothes, didn't he?"
I nodded. "Jordan basically asked Felix to bring new clothes at home every season. I seldom go shopping. I have no idea about clothes and jewelry. I wear whatever I have at home."
She gave me a thumbs up and said, "That's really arrogant. Jordan really spoils you as if you're a cripple, but let's not forget that you're a woman. You don't like shopping, and you don't like food. What do you do for leisure?"
"I read at home!" This was true. In the past, when Maisie was here, I was busy working overtime. I went out to eat something delicious with her on weekends. After Maisie left, I basically didn't have this kind of routine anymore, and all my friends around me have basically gone away.
She raised her forehead and sighed. "Sure enough, the cold and introverted personality of your husband has been passed onto you."
She looked at the necklace in her hand, thought about it, and said, "Forget it. I'll take both. 400,000 dollars will be 400,000 dollars. Anyway, I'll wear them myself."
I was surprised for a moment, then looked at her in hindsight and opened my mouth. "How much is this chain again?"
She scratched her eyebrows and said, "It costs 400,000 dollars."
"Gold doesn't have to be that expensive, do it?" I was still surprised over the fact that the amount of that single accessory could already buy a home and provide for a family. 400,000 dollars for a piece of necklace really felt expensive.
She was taken aback, and her eyes fell on the bracelet on my wrist and said, "Didn't you just tell me to buy for both? Why do you dislike the high price? In fact, it is not even that expensive. This necklace is handmade by a famous British designer. The moon-shaped masonry in the pendant is the pure diamond, so it costs an absolutely high value. It is just fine and worth the price."
No matter how well the design and how luxurious the materials were, hundreds of thousands of dollars for a necklace was not right.
I couldn't help sighing, "You've hung a two-bedroom house in a fourth-tier city around your neck. It's a real luxury."
The cabinet sister packed the necklace and swiped the card. She took the box and looked at me and said, "Ivelle, I wonder if you don't realize how much your items are. You wear hundreds of millions of bracelets on your hands. Don't you sigh when you realize that what you are wearing costs a villa in the capital!"
