###Chapter 562 Love From The Details - Part 10
"Boss Astley, Miss Weld, what a coincidence!"
Jordan nodded lightly then he looked at me and said, "I was too tired last night. Eat more and replenish your energy!"
I couldn't help blush when I heard this, and I couldn't help blush, even more, when I looked at the food he put in my bowl.
Director Kent was not stupid, plus I had hickey marks all over my neck. I could not cover it, so her face sank intensely.
Suppressing the mood, she said calmly, "Boss Astley, Miss Weld, do you mind if I sit with you? I don't have any company. "
"I don't mind!"
"I mind!"
Jordan and I spoke at the same time, but our answers were different.
"Excuse me!" Director Kent walked away and quickly went to find a new seat.
I looked at Jordan and couldn't help but frown. "Why were you so rude to her? She was alone and no one to eat with! It's embarrassing having no one to eat with!"
He raised his eyebrows. "I don't like people sitting next to me. I'm not used to it."
"Here you are used to!" After giving him a serious look, I didn't speak angrily.
Seeing the gumbo on the table, I moved to him and said, "Eat more. Gumbo tonifies the kidney."
His black eyes narrowed slightly, and his thin lips opened. "Didn't I meet your needs last night?"
Luckily, I did not have much food in my mouth, as I spurted it out. Luckily again, my surrounding was empty, so I was able to relax.
In front of me was the tissue he handed to me. If I hadn't reached out for it, I was afraid that he would wipe it for me.
After dealing with it, I looked up at him and said, "Jordan, can you keep your mind clean when we eat?"
He raised his eyebrow and said, "I just asked casually, since you were the one that said I had kidney deficiency."
I rubbed my forehead shamelessly, "I didn't say you had kidney deficiency. I just told you to eat more gumbo, but I didn't say there was something wrong with your kidney."
He nodded and said brazenly, "So you're praising me?"
I was speechless.
Sometimes, men's brain thinking is really beyond my imagination.
If our conversation goes on like this, I think I would be able to skip lunch.
He was smart enough to shut up and eat the gumbo that I handed over to him.
Grace called and said, "Are you in Cape Oaks? I'm too bored. Can I come and hang around with you?"
I was speechless. "The things on the base have been stolen. Do you think we have time to catch up and entertain you when you come over?"
"That's all right. I'll just come and follow you. Anyway, we all know each other. I also stopped by to see my grandfather. He asked me to ask you out for dinner the other day. Are you free this evening? We could come together!"
I was confused as to why Dominic Cross would ask me out for dinner, so I asked, "Why did Grandpa Cross ask me out for dinner?"
"Because I told him about you. I haven't made any friends since I was a child, and he wanted me to take my friends home for dinner!"
I nodded, but I remembered that Grandpa Cross mentioned my grandmother when he was having dinner in the hotel. I could take this opportunity to ask him about my grandmother's past.
I knew she could not see me nodding, so I said, "Okay, see you later!"
After hanging up the phone, Jordan looked at me and raised his eyebrows slightly. "Grace?"
I nodded. "She asked me to dinner!"
He raised his eyebrows and said, "Aren't you going to take me with you?"
"I think it would be awkward for you to come with us. Besides, girl talks are boring for you." It's not that I didn't want him to come to Grandpa Cross's house.
It was just that I still had a lot of questions about my grandmother's past. I wanted to find out by myself.
He leaned back slightly, dropping the topic, and said, "Have you ever had a deep affection for William?"
I almost bit my tongue and stared at him. "What do you think?"
No wonder he thought about what happened before, and it was normal.
He looked back but looked a little lazy. "You and Grace are good sisters, and it seems like William and she is getting along pretty well. You should better forget about William Preston."
I almost lost my breath. I suddenly got up from my seat, looked at him, and said, "Jordan, I'm afraid that you have lost your mind!"
I was so angry that I didn't want to say a word to him, so I turned around and left the hotel.
Linda saw me angry at the door of the hotel, so she thought something was wrong. She looked at me and asked, "What's the matter? Did you guys fight again?"
I contained my anger and said, "Jordan Astley is a big, a stupid pig!"
Linda wanted to ask more, but somehow, she closed her mouth and held back a smile.
I knew that she was laughing at me for scolding Jordan. I tilted my mouth and continued to rant my complaint, "How could I have a crush on William? His eyes are useless, it seems like it was just there for design."
Linda smiled and said, "Actually Ivelle, you can just tell Boss Astley directly. It's not good for you to be so angry!"
"Say what?" I was not angry. "He is a pig head, a big straight man. Director Kent flirts with him all the time, but he is just so ignorant. He could see that William and Grace are in love with each other, so why can't he see that I was not interested in William? If I don't use my head, I will think blindly!"
"Well, don't be angry. Anyway, I have something to do, so I'll go ahead!" She was still holding back a smile on her face as she spoke.
I frowned and said, "Why are you in such a hurry? I'm going back to the base with you."
"Boss Astley is still staring at you. Go with him. I'll go first!" With that, she just left.
I was confused for a moment. I looked back and saw Jordan standing by the door of the hotel, clasping his hands, a pair of dark and bright eyes looking at me, with a smile on the corners of his lips.
After all, I did say some mean things about him.
Even so, I ignored him and was ready to leave on my own.
But after a few steps, he stopped me and asked, "Are you still angry?"
I pursed my lips and said, "No!"
"I know nothing is going on with you and William. I shouldn't have said those words. I was wrong!" He spoke with a smile and helplessness in his tone.
I was stupefied, but I was a little dissatisfied. "How could you be wrong? You're the chief executive chairman, how could you be wrong? I was wrong!"
With that, I shook off his hand and was unreasonable and ready to leave.
But he held my hand and pressed me directly into his arms. "Well, I have to work later. So, don't be mad anymore. He said helplessly. "Let's go back to the base together."
He was like coaxing a child. I knew that I was wrong too and I shouldn't go on arguing with him like this.
After a slight pause, I stopped, looked at him, and said, "Don't mention this from now on!"
He smiled and followed me, "Good!" Won't mention it! "
I once suspected that Felix had good ears or had a sixth sense. He always showed up in time every time he was needed.
